This is overhyped. It was all over the place and West sounded horrible on some of the instrumentals. The Stove God features were dope though. The album was bloated with throw away songs.
I'm glad West tried something different with the trap beats but this album was mid at best.

There was about three songs on the album that I thought was fire I didn't enjoy the trap stuff at all I do think the features did come through for the people who do enjoy that stuff but as for me I wasn't feeling it.

Sorry but that album was underwhelming. I was a big WSG fan in 2020 but grew bored post-WMTS. Always thought Benny and Conway are a league above him sonically and lyrically

@@SeeJayTML it's perspective. People hated on G Herbo for being off beat and he made millions off it. If poetry can have different patterns/types then why shouldn't rap?
One of the greatest MC's MFDOOM entire style is rapping off beat so that is definitely not the issue.
West just didn't mesh with most of the instrumentals and the songs definitely didn't fit the theme of the album. Plus there were too many filler tracks making it harder to listen to the album in one sitting.
Stove God definitely stole the show and saved the tracks he was featured on especially KITCHEN LIGHTS.

@@twinblade6facts !! He was on the trap beats too heavy on this one. I think it’s because of the type of features he had on the album (Jeezy , est gee , etc) , they wouldn’t have sound good on Griselda type beats so he went into their world and got lost in the sauce.
