Hopefully you'll be able to get it back - I've a few friends whose accounts have been hacked and taken over by spammers/fraudsters for the ready-made following, so bloomin'' annoying. If you've not already done so, change passwords and put MFA on EVERYTHING. Fingers crossed for you both!

Really sorry this has happened to you Joe, I'm very wary of platforms like Instagram and their ilk. RUclips and WhatsApp are the only ones I use. The only advice i can give you if you can recover your accounts is to protect them with strong passwords and 2 factor authorisation if that option is available to you. Working through a VPN can offer some protection as well. A complete bummer for you mate and I hope you can recover the accounts.

I've always hated Facebook & will never have an account, had Twitter to get me through the covid year/s but kicked it into touch when the Musk took over. Just RUclips for me, quite enough for anyone & plenty of time to do real life without being plastered all over the Internet that way. Good luck sorting it out whatever you decide to do.

Make sure they haven't added any backup or recovery email accounts to your accounts - these are used as an alternative place to send password recoveries to etc, so even you reset your password, they can just reset it again all the while the backup email address is still linked to your account. Good luck!

The same thing happened to RUclipsrs whose chanel is called Country Road Cure. They got their socials back after about 3 days. Maybe reach out to them to find out how.
