I also have a 2023 xr150l. I love this bike. Things I found that worked I got from MIshMashMoto. The 115 is important for quick starts. The 16T front sprocket made 5th gear usable. Putting in 91 octane helped with some of the rattling and increases throttle response. Also consider an Ir spark plug it made a huge positive difference. Keep riding it until it has broken in and the engine runs better. I also add Marvel Mystery oil to the gas to help lube everything up. Add bigger foot pegs and changes your comfort level.
Glad it worked for you! 😁 We took our bikes up to 5,400’ with the 115 in it. It’s a little rich after about 3,000’ but worked OK all the way up to 5,400’. A 110 jet after 3,000’ or so would be better IMO. Speaking of pegs, we ordered the cheap Amazon foot pegs for a CRF150F and they fit great. Do not get pegs for a CRF150R as they won’t fit!!! If you stand up a lot it’s life changing!
@@hvhnubek up to 2000 ft not at all, above 3000 when I've got it wide open I will get the occasional hesitation, it's rare though and not worth dropping down to the 110
I pulled it early on to check color and gap, everything seemed fine but I have heard that a plug upgrade helps. I will start next season with a new plug for sure.
I just found your channel. THANK YOU! for explaining and voicing the same frustration I've had with a brand new motorcycle that sounds like I'm killing it at higher revs under load. I've brought my concerns of wrist pin rattling and whit I feel is a bit of detonation to a couple of rider groups and received almost no good help. So am I to understand that you cured your high-end rattle with a change to a 115 main jet?
it has no noticeable rattle now unless it's wide open, it's so much better. you would like mish mash Moto here on youtube, it sounds like he did some work on the intake and put on a pz30 carburetor and it sounds pretty sweet

I've owned a bunch of Chinese bikes and spent more time working on them than riding them. lots of times it was nerve-racking riding too far into the bush because you could end up pushing it out. I love this little bike, faithful, reliable and oh so much fun to ride.

thanks for the tips, just with 115 jet I absolutely love the bike but we'll have to look into some of the other ones that worked for you
With the 15t Front Sprocket, does that help with top end speed? What all benefits did it add for you? Also, I'm assuming the stock chain fit fine?
I like the design of your seat cover
it's made by coleman, called the mad dog, it really is comfortable
Glad it worked for you! 😁
