The Shinedown version is completely obnoxious. One of the worst covers ever right next to Puddle of Mudd covering Nirvana. Howard is killing it cuz he’s not over doing it and he knows when to take it down a notch to do the song justice.

Howards vocals hit differently for real. From this, to Killswitch, to SION with Jared Dines, all the way to Light the Torch. Dude has some serious talent. And to think of all the shit he’s been through as well. Such an inspiration.

One of the best to ever to do it. My first experience was the Holy Diver cover, back in like 2009. Dio is one of the greatest metal vocalists of all time, but Howard is right up there with him. I'll never forget - it was 2018 - I buy tickets to a Currents/Fit For a King show, and I hear that Light the Torch joined at the last minute. I had no idea who Light the Torch was, and from out of nowhere, I see the man, the myth, the legend Howard Jones walk out on stage. It was one of the coolest concerts experiences I've ever had. Obviously, he killed it.
