I actually love this design. Simple and minimalist. I wish this got ibis like Panasonic gx9

1) is 27mm f2.8 as sharp as 23mm f2..?
2)is f2.8 sufficient for night street photography...?

Its sharper than 23mm f2 and it is good for night city photography. But not if you hate grain / noise. I happen to like noise/ grain.

Yeah good idea, the only decent fuji lens for video that can actually auto focus properly is the 16mm 1.4

A lot of them - for example F2 primes.
Shame that they got lazy and didn't bring the AF motor to current decade. Seems like it's too loud for shooting video even if it's not my main objective. 27mm would be the perfect middle ground focal length. I always feel like the 23mm and 33mm are either too wide or too narrow. Still can't decide which of those two to keep.

Yes, it’s crazy loud. And hunts in dark scenes. Too bad because apart from that it’s a nice lens.
@@Ralph7D the hunting in dark scene... is a camera sensor af issue got nothing to do with the lens.
@@keithvlogs1 No. Lenses make a big difference in AF performance in Fuji system.
I would love fuji to release a 30mm f2 pancake. I had this lens on a samsung nx camera years ago and it was fantastic.

Are the sample photos edited in Luminar or out of camera JPEGs? The first one looks really good and HDR-like.
And are you happy with the Freewell filters? I don't know if I should go for Freewell or Kase ...
All of the sample images are edited RAWs. Yes, I am very happy with Freewell filters.
How would you compare the aperture ring to the f2 primes? I had a try at a store and it seemed quite loose (compared to the sturdy clicks on the f2 23/35mm for example). Wondering if it was just a bad copy.
There have been many exciting lens designs in 2021. but if I start buying, my budget might not keep up with everything that I want. Nice lens, would be great to replace one of my X mount lenses!
what brand of Gimbal did you use here? There is a 10min video limit for x100V, what about here? your view of point compares to X100V. Thanks

What do you mean when you say "rendition is what you expect from this type of lens" ? I'm considering this and the new 33mm f1.4 , not for bokeh, but for the color rendition, color and contrast realism. Which one does the job better and how much diference is there? I want to shoot documentory, travel, enviremental portrait and family. I've noticed that you haven't done a video on the 33mm yet, but you did the new 18mm 1.4 wr (which has similar qualities as the 33mm), and, from that video, i've noticed better quality overal from the 18mm compared to 27mm. Please, feel free to say whatever you think, all input is apreciated. Cheers from Brazil
I meant rendition of bokeh, since I said that in bokeh segment of the video. I haven't tested 33mm F1.4, but it will definitely be better than 27mm F2.8 in overall optical performance. How much depends mainly on how you intend to publish your images.
@@TheHybridShooter I've ordered that 33mm lens and perhaps will give the 27mm a chance (try to rent it in the US when visiting there), to see how much of a diference the IQ has. thanks a lot!

Depends on the focal length that you prefer. I would probably go with 27 or 23mm.
I got the X-T200 as a new family camera last Xmas, but haven't used it too much, because I don't like the kit-lens. Ordered this lens 6 weeks ago, was sure to get it for Xmas, but just got an SMS it's delayed :-/

Neither has a gimbal, I'm not sure what do you mean by that.
