A few corrections since video was posted there is no Quick Quick Slow in the basic bachata rhythm,
I was referring to the movement and timing of your hips also it is not a Güiro (is the wooden) this actually called a Güira which is metallic on used in Bachata and Merengue.

Video starts at 1:50
I would find it more helpful to actually hear the rhythm of the music playing while I was learning the steps. :) I do like this video though, it's still very helpful, Thanks! :)
Your very welcome, unfortunately RUclips is strictly cracking down on copyrights, so when this video was made, we didn't have that capability,
definitely in near feuter :)
@@How2Dance maybe next time you guys can recommend which songs to listen to while watching the steps🤗
Kt Vivacious i totally agree with you
Andres, your daughter's personality definitely makes this tape special. Sin duda, you are a very proud father!
Having attended my first Congress, this video has helped me make sense of so much.
No one bothered to actually explain what rhythms are and bachata back home and I'm not sure why.
We've done them in warm-ups but I've never once heard the word, syncopation.
It's like trying to learn how to grapple in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and not learn the importance of the ankle and hip mobility.
Thank you so much for sharing.
So nice to see you again through RUclips, I’m one of your student at your local studio years ago. I always know you are a shining star in my heart. Glad to see you showing your true loving funny and super star character to people. We love you and thank you.
Appreciate the perspective here. Have been teaching using similar concepts around "Music comes first", lately. This gave me several new ideas. Thank you.
Your videos are great! Learning is easy with your detailed instructions and great sense of humor. Lots of fun!!
Perspective! This teaching Bachata dance class rhythms is very awesome and informative and you showed non dancers how to follow along now I can learn the moves to perfection.
My perspective, these are the best lessons thus far in my quest to learn, and so insightful on which instrument to dance to. Never crossed my mind before. I would really appreciate your take on Merengue, Salsa and Cumbia as well. Unless you've already done those. Agradecido!
Ist lesson live last night and you are my 2nd lesson. Awesome and easy instructions on the Bachata. Thankyou
thank you so much you guys! I don't have any experience but you made it so easy. I will be waitng for mor videos
You people are great fun and very informative. Thanks and God bless you always.
This is a great beginner tutorial. I like how you broke down all of the steps and with what instruments they coincide with. New Subscriber. I'll be dancing much better really soon if all your vids are this well done. Thank you.
Good instructions ! I especially like when you turn around so we can follow on the same foot. Only thing that would make it super good would be to add a little music too. You are fun and entertaining !
Thanks for the great variations! Very musically insightful.
What excellent students your studio must produce in such a fun atmosphere. Just subscribed, thanks.
Great lessons. You really break it down for beginners. I am an experienced dancer who has never danced Bachata. This video was perfect for me. I was dancing it with a partner after watching and practicing with the video 2x. Excellent instruction! Thanks!
Excellent videos!
They make it so simple and basic these 'complicated moves' that I see around.
You really know how to teach!
Ian Casey Thank you 🙏 for leaving a comment, it is greatly appreciated, please let me know if there is a specific video you will like for us to cover :)
Get it! You guys look great!
My fav about this video! I am a fast learner and they keep a steady pace. They also show from behind view & that's what I like most! Thanks for a great video!

Good Morning from India. I always delighted to watch your instructional video uploads. Thank You for the uploads.

Grazie mille per condividere il vostro arte con noi . Siete bravi
Thanks! Very nice i try this "pasitos". Liliana has left the bilding hahahah funny!
So helpful! Thank you so much!
Thanks for the video. It helped tremendously!
Very sweet, father and daughter great chemistry and love, very admirable
Nice basics video. It stands out! You guys are cool!
Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it, we are definitely making follow up videos
Man. Explaining which instrument the steps are following was so helpful. I still struggle to even pick the difference between all the Latin styles, let along what I am meant to be following. Thanks for the video.
Good video thanks.
Is easier to follow along when your backs are turned to the camera, so is good that you do that or do it once facing the camera and once with your backs to it.
I guess a nice improvement would be to do the steps once again at the end of the video with some music playing - or at least with a beat playing and you counting.
cheers
JB
Great tutorial, Liliana is so nice inside and out ❤
Merci beaucoup. Vous êtes les meilleures. 😍
Merci Beaucoup 🙏👊
Its great to know how to use figures to oinstruments sound.
This is awesome and I haven't seen the link between the rhythms and the instruments... do you guys have another video with the same instructions but with the examples of the sounds? That would be awesome to see in the same video! Thank you guys!
I have to make a correction. You call the last rhythm a Double.its actually a HALF because you are moving on half the normal speed whixh is on the musical HALF NOTE (1 hold 2 hold 3 hold 4 hold = each hold is 2 counts).
Whereas a Double Step is what you called Syncopation because its movement on the 8th note ( aka 1 AND 2 AND 3 AND 4 AND = 8 counts) and the dancer is moving at 1 times (Double) the normal speed whixh ia a muaical 8th note
When understand the Physical music annotation teaching the step count associated with that becomes easier
Thank you very much, I do appreciate any corrections when thay are respectful, thanks again I will post corrections :)🙏
Well Done - Thank you
Lovely video !
Guys
Lovely stuff
Would request u to put up a dance on music at the end of every step so that we know what it looks like
Music is definitely on the way, we ran into copyright issues, but next video will have lots of music 🎶
The last rhythm for 8 counts, when do we use it? For a solo part mostly?? And yesss, adding some pieces with music would be great!! At least at the end of the video, 1 piece with all steps combined would be cool!! Tks for the video and hi from bachata community in Russia!!!
Thank u. U guys. For helping me.
you guys are AWESOME!! more videos Pls.!!
Glad you enjoyed our videos, definitely more on the way, keep posted :)
Love the breakdown of the steps by instrument!!! Truly appreciated!!! (BTW in Trinidad and Tobago we have that same Guiro, except we call it the Scratcher! lol)
Thank you very much Nathalie, it’s great to hear the similarities from other countries and how different and rich our cultures are, next video we will dance to the actual instruments 👍
Is there anything you will like us to add on our next video to help you improve?
Hmmm... I'm a true tomboy, so all that ladies styling does not come natural to me. That's one area I know I have to work on... :( Maybe a video to help with hand movements may help me improve the "sexiness" of my dancing? :P
Excelent!
Dance with music guys. Good steps. Thanks
Very nice
This is great next video do this to music x
Love your starting
Thank you 🙏 I’m glad you enjoyed
This is gold, really usefull, only one thing the 4th and 5th rhythms which instrument can I use them? I would love to know, Please.
Perfecto!
Muchísimas gracias 🙏
Having a difficulty in transitioning from one move to another. Especially going forward and backward transition to left side turns. Do I make e sense? Thank you for your videos. Honestly my Bachata improved 50% in 3 videos
As long as you remember to use the same foot you accent with is the foot you’re going to use next, that might help you with your transitions :) Let me know if this helped
THANK YOU much MUCH😆😆😆
Glad you enjoyed Antero, make sure to also review our Bachata basics series part 1,2 and 3 to compliment your knowledge :)
Amazing class! super like! Thank you for making and sharing this wonderful video! Hoping to catch your class the next time I am in LA! :)
Thank you very much, we would love to have stop by, greatly appreciated 🙏
Hello. I liked the last step. May i ask what type of bachata are you teaching??
The lesson is very helpful for beginners..cause I am a beginner Lol...but how do we get a cool dress code for Bachata...maybe a little light on this aspect could help guys to build up confidence..
Thank you I learned how to dance bachata
Very happy video.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
After all dance with music, please. And make the video for the dummies and the beginners, so they could dance as simple bachata as possible on the floor.💃🕺
Awesome upload. You forgot the rhythm #2 in relation to the numerical music count. But it's easy to figure out. 1---and3,4--5--and7,8. "And" is a half beat. Right? Thanks.
That was very interesting. Only thing that's missing is a piece of music illustrating the examples. However, very informative!
I know our music was not available at that time due to RUclips copyrights, but hopefully our upcoming videos are approved :) Glad you enjoyed
Nice moves...
Thank you very much, we have more videos coming soon, keep posted :)
Thanks u for the video.
And What is the brand of ur shoes ?? 🙂
You should dance all this steps with music afterwards. Otherwise all good, thanks
good
Could you show us dance these steps with music? That would be easier for us to learn!❤
Look nice
Better With music and partner after demonstrations in line dance.
Please post link for the additional accent video.
Which instrument is for rythm N.4? And for N.5?
Hey, where did you find slow in basic bachata rhytm from Bongo? 1,2,3,4 all the same duration! There is no any slow!
Definitely no slow in the Bongo timing, but you can definitely dance slow within the steps and play with the timing and musicality such as slow, fast, fast or slow, slow, slow, slow ect.... thanks for the correction
@@How2Dance why you need any music then?
Ivan, you need music to interpret with felling and emotion, that is what dance is, if not you will be just moving not dancing, if ten people are listening to one song all ten people can interpret the song differently, that's what the music is for.... that's why there are many beats and sounds layered on top of one another that create the music, so by thinking outside of the box you can play with the timing and sounds and rhythms from other dances with you bachata music......like Bachtango, Bachata sensual, Bachata Traditional, Urban Bachata ect
@@How2Dance sure, but we are talking about your video, where you told us that bachata basic rhytm is "Quick, Quick, Slow, Accent". What are you talking about??? See from 1:51. THERE IS NO SLOW IN BASIC BACHATA RHYTM YOU SHOWING HERE. PERIOD. thats only i am pointing about! You just lie to people in video then start talking that you can play with feelings, emotions etc in comments....
Ivan, really!!!
Mabe you need to read my first response to you buddy, I did say "there is NO slow in Bongo timing" then I say "thanks for the correction" what more do you need!!! What are you looking for an palouse as well 👏👏👏👏👏
Your the one asking "why you need music then" I'm just responding to that ridiculous question.
On my video I use the correct counts, so no lieing going on here, if you can't understand that then my videos aren't for you plain an simple!!! Just remember the tone of your question will result in the tone of the answer given back to you.
I am humble enough to say once again "Thanks for the correction"
God bless you!!!
It’s a guïra, not a guïro, the guïro is the wood version of the instrument usually used for salsa, the metal one is a guïra.
Thank you, good to know, appreciate it
Hi the links don't open or are not secure. Just FYI
FYI. What you showed is a guira, not a guiro. The guiro is made from a gourd, and is used primarily in Cuban music, while the guira is used primarily in Dominican music (Bachata).
Thank you, I was aware after the video was filmed, so we made corrections on our description, thanks again
Nice.
SenPin TravMom I’m glad you enjoyed this video, let me know what type of video you will like to see next :)
I just found you. I like to learn more of Bacchata, and I like the way you teach. I will watch all your videos, and hopefully I can reach a level of proficiency enough for social dancing. I hope your later videos will show leading and following techniques.
I tried looking for dancing classes in LA but no luck
Yer the BEST. My feets say No on the triple crossover, but otherwise, oh yeah.
Whats the name ofz1 the song
And the instrument for the Rhythm Number 5?
Song?
Wats the song please?
What does bachata mean?
Anyone know the name of the song played during the beginning?
Found it on Shazam tu dueno eterno
How to apply these steps in the dance? For me it is always the basic rhythm. 😢😢😢
What's the name of the first song played?? :)
ondrej čonka dueno eterno
Ramona Mihaela muchas gracias 😉
No music with this lesson? :(
It would be more helpful to dance with the musics after steps coaching
Teach every dancing song show more
She is so cute
Liliana definitely is a cutie!!!
If you are going to describe where the music instruments play their rhythms, I would think you should play some music examples! I seems you want the dancers to be able to hear and pick
out these sounds and pattern their dancing to the music . . . . . so ? where is the music? I am a musician and notice dancers routinely do not match their steps to the songs or the speed of the songs.
20190708 I am trying to access your site and I get a warning your site is dangerous (a url shortener is in effect). So if you are wondering why traffic has diminished that may be why?
If 123 how gonna be Quik Quik slow
Bachata is a 4/4 Rhythm
Quick = 1 Count
Quick = 1 Count
Slow = 2 counts
4 Count total
The slow consists of 2 count(step) and 1 ascent = 2 Counts(1step ), I hope this helps
But when u say 123 means step have same timing that what I understand
This one is easiest to learn.
but i miss some music
Coming soon, Joy :) we are in production on adding more material with music 👍
hek ya, mOre bachata please!!!!
Lots more bachat in the works!!!! Glad you enjoyed
Pero como es q enseñas bachata en ingles si la bachata es típica d Dominicana
Hahhahh, El bile es un idioma mundial, aprende ingles....jajajaj ✌️
