Glad to see ur still going strong dude. I mentioned u in a post over on CANADIAN PREPPER channel. Hes always going on about having plenty of food. And he had a dog in one part, i said "A month in to WW3 and as a fan of the BEARDED WOODSMAN, that dog would make a nice feast for a family. Ppl freak out cuz i live in missouri and i say stuff like that. I have 1 ground hog in my freezer right now. Im not shy about using the meat, the land provides. Lol. I dont have cats or dogs in my fridge now but should bombs fall, i cant guarantee that wont happen.
I'm a native american, born in St. Louis, MO., as were my parents. My mom's grandma was an Osage Indian who was kicked out of her tribe for marrying a white man, a German. Her daddy was a tribal chief and supposedly a shaman who did not believe in race mixing, and I agree with great, great grandpa with this subject.

Good video Chris! Looked like you guys were enjoying yourselves! That lake was awesome! You Jeremy, and Holden made a good working team! Looking forward to your next one!
Your skills and dedication to living off the land in its purest form are truly commendable. It's evident that your connection with nature runs deep, reflecting a genuine appreciation for simpler, more primal ways of life. And I am a floating village life from Vietnam
I wasn't almost sure you where joking and you had fresh birds for the video. Just did some research and apparently you're not kidding this is a thing people do and it works perfectly fine. Wow learn something new everyday. Thanks Chris!
While shooting a paper target with a BB gun some grouse cam through and got a luck with a headshot last season. I’m not bragging because there’s so many grouse here. But first time with a daisy BB gun. So amazing for me! Yes we cooked it over the camp fire on a stick! Chicken of the woods brother. Learn so many things just watching. We live in an incredible time!
@@TheWoodedBeardsman Minnesota boy here. Pretty close to Canadian! Haha! The Walleye and Deer I ate out of that house too. Man I miss it! Now I let someone talk me into giving up meat for a while. Crazzzzy. I got my reasons though. (Not for everyone) Never in a million years did I ever think I'd be saying that. It honestly pains me inside.
I am so glad you are back making these videos. Great to see Jeremy too. I always learn something new and you have my attention throughout the whole episode. Looking healthy. Hope you and your family and Jeremy's family is doing well. What's happening with your brother? Are you still trying to kill the trout in that pond?
This is the first time you mentioned Jeremy’s channel… bam! Subbed. Ya gotta put it into perspective. If ya wanna go caveman. All ya needs a bottle of liquor. Get wasted and you don’t even care where ya sleep or anything 😆 I’m figuring the cavemen probably roamed without much care😆🐸🍺🔪🔥
It's always a good laugh watching city dwellers play bushcraft in the country. Cooking open food over hemlock bark or any pine tree is definitely not a good idea.
Great Video! Passionate Grouse and Woodcock Hunter from Michigan. Looks like you froze the bird whole and thawed it before cleaning, I’ve never done it before but it intrigues me. I may give it a go
I was wondering if you ever tried to bake a grouse in a pot with rackand lid. Like say a zebra pot or lid on the pot you had. Just curious if it would come out right
@TheWoodedBeardsman I'm glad to hear Jeremy had his own grouse. I worried about his weight back when he did the big wild year thing. He looked way underfed. I hope your digestive issues are under control. Just want to say again that I enjoy the videos.
Ahh just got the notification. Curious to know how the trout pond project is going. Glad to see you and Kevin up to your usual mischief! Hello Jeremy! It's awesome to see the dynamic duo together! Whoops just saw that I posted Kevin instead of Jeremy. Sorry about that Jer my mistake!
For some reason I am not getting notices from your channel for new shows. Odd, cause it's doing it with a few of my channels that I have subscribed to.
I think you would want to remove as many as you could, and yes, burn off the rest! I think you really could burn them all off, but it might impart some not great scent/flavor. I have burned hair off a beast to eat before - it works - even on the hairiest.

Omg when chris woke up covered in mosquitos, it gave me the heebie jeebies!
Ya, they don't bother you in the sleeping bag thankfully. They seem to come up in the morning heat.

I don't know why but when you showed Jeremy hunting, I thought about Elmer Fudd saying "be very quiet, I'm hunting wabbit!" LOL

Amazing how well those birds kept uncleaned since last winter. Got to love modern technology!
If you keep them feathers on they don't get freezer burn.

One of the best meals I ever had was partridge, cut up into bite sized cubes, breaded in shore lunch and fried, severed with wild rice casserole.
Oh, it's good that way too!

I think you could soup it, kind of like. It's also good breaded and deep fried. Or mixed into any sort of chicken type recipe.
Should of had a worm under a float right in front of camp, especially as it was getting dark!
Yup!
Did we just watch him eat Jeremy's share of the grouse?😮
No! He had a whole bird to himself!

awesome video, are you back making vids again? I have not followed up in a while.
Great video but one question.? How come you took down your Bushcraft shelter?
Turned it back to the way we found it.
Use green wood for cooking
