- Howdy fellas, today we're once again looking at a Lego pirates set, I read a lot of comments on my last one about how amazing this set is and you guys weren't wrong!

These pirate ships falling over reminds me of the Swedish ship Wasa that sunk because it was too top heavy.

Not gonna lie, the steerable rudder and reversible cannons completely caught me off guard. Those are probably the best play features I've ever seen on a LEGO ship!

Your videos are always good for a laugh 😂 This was my dream pirate ship back in the day. Although, once I had it, I realized I preferred the Barracuda just slightly more. Felt there were too many odd uses of town parts and the lacking captain's quarter. Not a bad ship, love the sails, just shy of being a runner up imo
It does not matter what anybody else says, I hope you never do a "face reveal" and keep everything about ur identity to that minifig who we all came to recognize and rejoice upon seeing in a thumbnail. As usual, fantastic video and thank you kind sir.
I think my channel is way to small for it to happen but i do worry if someone will recognize my voice if i go to a Lego convention 😂

Thanks for the video, not sure if you have weighed Lego elements but that might be a fun idea to attach to your majestic ships. So you could see them Simi float without them capsizing.

I always heard the Black Seas Barracuda was the king of LEGO Pirate ships, and while I'd dispute that (the Advanced Models Imperial Flagship is an overall more impressive build although it's technically an _imperial_ ship rather than a pirate ship), in general the BSB felt like the better ship compared to the Skull's Eye Schooner, with a full deck and overall more elaborate and detailed design.
the BSB is a barren wasteland of space compared to the skulls eye
@@trevordible2566 The SES has almost no cabin (that was sacrificed for the functional rudder), zero deck space (for easier access to the cannons) and a less detailed forecastle. It sacrifices some (but not all) detail in favor of play features.

Question: future content plan? After you run out of themes/sets you own. Also, plans on finishing your lego room (shelving, showcasing) or renting an external unit? Lets be honest floor storage is not the best solution

This was the only intact model when my cousin gave me his entire LEGO collection in ~1997. Of course being little and dumb I promptly disassembled it for my own creations. Perhaps this year I shall rebuild it for the first time.
I did something similar with the clone turbo tank, i have a bunch of spare parts in a big gym sack including the entire tank if i can ever get around to parting it out 😁

I never had this ship, however I did have the smaller LEGO Pirates ship from around the same time. To this day when Christmas is brought up in family discussion my dad mentions how long it took him to build it on Christmas Day for me and swears under his breath. Apparently the rigging was an arseache.

@@RobrickLego Yep; there was two halves of the lot and I got the half with that ashoka and the Agent Kallus from that set. Most of the ship and all of the other figures were in the other lot though. Both figures were a steal for the 70 bucks I paid (plus the actual lot itself).

@@flambo6554 Na; I sold the Ashoka. I don't like her as a character at all and I especially don't like rebels. What I like was that 300 bucks. I actually have a bricklink store that I've been trying to sell off a bunch of unwanted stuff.

The real king of the seas is 10210 Imperial Flagship from 2010. I regret not getting it.

Nice video I have heard many good things about LEGO set number 6286 the Skull's Eye Schooner even if it looks more like a frigate and if you are looking for more reasons to sleep on the couch or to take a cannonball to the face then I would recommend set 10210: Imperial Flagship from 2010 or LEGO Ideas set 21322: Pirates of Barracuda Bay from 2020
10210 Looks sick! cheapest i can find it boxed is about £1000 though 😬
@@RobrickLego Yeah that ships is more expensive then the original Black Seas Barracuda and the Skull's Eye Schooner which is pretty impressive for a LEGO set that is not as famous as the two other ships and that came out way more recently and if you do buy it you are not sleeping on the couch you are sleeping six feet under
queen ann's looks nice aswell but again only 3 cannons but 4 possible holes for cannons "each side"

Undisputed? I don't know about that, the Imperial Flagship (10210) is definitely #1 for me and a lot of people, and if that doesn't count as a pirate ship for you, then it's Pirates of Barracuda Bay in ship form. All beef aside, great video man, keep up the work!
Grrr! 😡 Nah the imperial flagship is gorgeous but like you the labeling is weird so its technically not a pirate ship which is strange 🤔

I did notice not many people talk about it, i think it might be because the minifigs are reused a lot and i guess there is only so much you can say about ships 😅

Mr box collector i have an issue and i need to know if you have a salutation. what do you do with advent calendar box's? i cant break them down easily due to the cardboard insert inside of them. so what do you do with them? i need closet space please help me!!!!
What i've done is not flatpack them but put them in a bigger plastic box and then stick them in my attic 😁

Owning both (and probably too many others) I still prefer the Black Seas Barracuda over this, even though i bought this for 600 CAD i think 6285 is better overall
Its a tough call to be honest, i cant wait to eventually finish the lego room and have them side by side 😁
@@RobrickLego side by side on my shelf behind me, 6285 is just more striking in my opinion and is overall a much better set. It makes them look even better having small imperial ships between them.😂 6289 doesn't even come close to the beauty of these 2, i don't think it cracks my top 5...
