Being charged for a missed session is common. They're paid per session. If a time slot is taken up then lost, that's money lost. And unfortunately, although this lady would most likely not be a repeated session misser, others often are. Which becomes problematic for the therapist. As for canceling all further appointments is messed up. That shouldn't be happening.
Bad therapist...don't need that.
