I hesitate to say it but I noticed that your neighbor's dog is displaying some early signs of going thru an episode of seizure. He wasn't having a dream and this frequent movement of his tongue could be a sign too. I went thru with my dog fighting for the seizure and I didn't pick up those early signs only after I went back to my earlier videos. Please let Nancy know and she could pay attention to his behaviors and I could be wrong. I rather be wrong than sorry.

在美国中产的概念太宽泛了，只要不是真的有钱人，或是很贫困的都算中产。其实按收入看的话考虑自己交税的税率就知道算不算中产了。我觉得广义的说年收入从50K到200K的都算是中产吧

其实，六口之家的医保费和四口之家的医保费是一样多的，因为医保是保全家的，与人口多少无关。从幼儿园到高中教育是免费的，包括免费课本。所以，额外多了几个小孩，消费不是成倍增加的。当然，当妈妈的会很累。美国40%的人没有银行存款也是预料之中，因为50%的美国人会从政府领取或多或少的救济，有了存款，自然就没资格领取救济了（银行里钱多了，还需要救济吗？政府也不傻）。另外，用信用卡其实是非常有利的，只要记得按时还钱，因为信用卡购物有消费保险，有的还有回扣（rebate），还能提高信誉（credit score），好借好还，再借不难麻，这对以后买房子贷款很有帮助。

各位, 拜託, 老美的觀念不是一定要買房的, 很多中產階級, 生活過得還不錯, 身上也有存款, 還是選擇租房. 我以前也覺得奇怪, 來了美國, 跟我老公聊過(道地老美), 才了解他們的想法.
1. 工作: 買了房子換工作自由度就少了. 租房子隨時想換工作想搬就搬.
2. 留遺產給小孩: 這個不用說了, 他們沒有想過這個.
3. 房屋的維修費用: 在美國, 99%是房東要負責房屋的內外維修, 包含屋內的家電. 如果合約沒寫好, 甚至屋外lawn mow都由房東負責, 因為畢竟房東才是owner. 而在美國, 如果你自己不會維修, 請外面人來維修, 基本上是天價, 例如一個廚房下水管漏水, 找plumber 1小時就是200-300起跳. 在美國很多小鎮, 例如這位鄰居住的房子可能不到16萬美金, 若自備20%, 貸款下來加上稅金保險1個月不到1000, 怎麼算都比租金便宜啊. 但你如果知道老房子的維修費用, 很多人寧可租房了. 也因此你可以看到租金會比貸款還貴, 那就是你們沒看到維修費用啊.
4. 生活環境: 買房子前你不太會知道你鄰居是怎麼樣的人, HOA管理是不是很討厭....等. 租房子就選擇性很高, 喜歡這裡可以跟房東討論rent to own, 不喜歡就搬走. 畢竟老美很重隱私, 不像我們亞洲人對鄰居愛問東問西, HOA管東管西都不太在乎.
