Or just get b grade components because they are nearly as good and in the end your ship type vs any opponent as well as respective skill will get you a win or loss over some slightly better shield hp and thirstier qt drive
Do you have to bring the ship into your hanger in order to strip the parts? I was not getting the tractor beam to take it off, I went to the cockpit and attempted to unlock all ports but it didnt work as it wasnt my ship. I was only able to strip parts after soft deathing the ship.
It doesn't matter who the ship belongs to, you just have to sit on the pilot seat, press right alt + K and the ports will be unlocked. Sometimes the message 'Ports Unlocked' won't appear, but it doesn't matter - the ports are still gonna be properly unlocked. After that, go find the components and start dismantling them. Keep in mind - size 3 components are currently unable to be manually dismantled. They can still be gotten off some wrecks, if they manage to fall out from the ship on their own. At that moment, the tractor beam will be able to move them, cheers 🍻
Ever since the vulture was released players have been stealing other players ships for stripping. Great video 👍. But SC has one big problem RN. And that's ship comps duplicating
Manually mounting them pretty much always guaranteed to work, then locking the ports and finally storing the ship (before retrieving it again and flying off);
For ships that dont have physical components this guide is useless. Because you cannot save any player looted or npc looted components via mobii currently
@@bryanmoore1293 yes you can bro, you take it in your ship cargo and take it to the elevator manually and send it down. ive have at least 6 ad5b and some military components from players ships that i found abandoned. If youre talking about just taking a whole ship to your hangar to save the parts, that was never a thing, but as far as taking parts, you can absolutely manually save them
Be aware that the competition grade components have fewer hit points. So if you get into a firefight they are more likely to break down. This will also become more prevalent when engineering comes online. Competition grade components will wear out faster than industrial or civilian grade equipment.
I’m so fucking mad at CIG for doing this. I have been away since 3.21. I logged in to see my polaris and discovered this ridiculousness. I DONT WANT TO DO PVP. I do want to protect myself from sweaty griefers. Not another dime to these clown until they FIX THIS. I want premium components back in the shops NOW.
Easy there your self entitlement is showing. The best available equipment and gear should rarely if ever be available from npc shops. They should be obtained from actually playing the game.

Hope you get lucky and find the exact abandoned player ship you need to upgrade what your flying

Nah, you always end up finding something... lots of abandoned ships with such a big server population nowadays, cheers 🍻

They need to solve that problem before 1.0 (or the whole economy will implode at launch day);
How did you work around the system where picked up components and weapons do not stay attached to your ship after you equip them?
if you dont lock them back and try to store, it will not save.

@ thanks. I’ll try that

Are they insured when claimed?
For now (until CIG develops the insurance system); Not looking forward to having to pay for upgraded insurance in-game, to cover fresh components...

Exactly right! Military components have the best balance between high performance and good endurance; Grade A's are the rarest to find though...

If you truly have been following the project then you should know premium Components were NEVER supposed to be sold in stores NEVER

They're getting added to crafting when that comes out. Do it then.
