I think the tutorials are great and they stick to the basic's that is required. Most companies don't do this because that's what's off putting to most people. ( Thank you, keep up the great work.)

Hmm...The voiceover is slow and steady, well spoken and not rushed, and doesn't presume "oh they'll know that bit". It's also done in a very logical order to get me started on trying this application. Although a really nice feature that I've so far learnt that you didn't mention was that you can (I think) right click in the timeline and it will fill in any gaps between video clips along the same timeline - or snap them together. Anyway I hope that's more or less enough elaboration from me.

Just purchased this and waiting for delivery. Excellent video. I have used many programs in the past, from the ones in the beginning where you had to set everything up yourself to do specific things, to ones like this that do it all for you making life really easy and fun. the only problem I have is that I was looking at a video before this which was 19, then saw the 20 then saw the differences so I had to go for the best. but then I hope to do the best. I have just purchased a Phantom Drone and I also have two 360 video cameras which I want to edit as well so happy days all round. Great video and I am subscribed as I type.
I would like to find a redo or undo button if not an easy to remember keyboard action to undo an action. It's a good product in any case. I'm pleased because it makes editing for RUclips much easier.
I haven't looked yet? but is there any chance of showing multi video's, pic in pic, and stuff like that as I want to progress to do better videos. I only do or did in the last program I had, editing video and just cutting from one scene to another and I want to be more adventurous than just wipes and fades. Many thanks again.
A question about export in MP4. Studio Ultimate 20. A half a way of export it stopped due to "the export process has experienced problem with timeline and has been canceled (0xE1000005) 35236/403344@00:19;3521" Any idea how to solve?
How can I Loop certain clips and render just those clips? For instance, I have multiple clips on my timeline, but I just want to render certain clips, not the whole project. I basically want to loop the certain clips and then render them. Thanks
Hello :) I am using Pinnacle 20 Ultimate for my video editing. Would you be able to explain to me what the "author" icon does located above the navigation section beside "edit" and "organize". I am not sure what it does? I am new to Pinnacle and not much of an expert when it comes to video editing. So please bear with me LOL Also would you be able to tell me how to implement the "skin touch up" effect found under the NewBlue FX essentials IV? I don't think I am doing it correct as I don't really see any change in the preview when I try to apply the effect . Any info you have would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to edit a video for a RUclips collaboration and I am getting so flustered and feel like I am running out of time for this project :( Thank you! Joanne
Dear follower! Unfortunately we may not be able to help you about the NewBlue FX effect. About the Author mode, we are making a video about it right now! That is an extra interface inside Pinnacle Studio used to create interactive DVD menus!
Very good and helpful. I have used several editions of Pinnacle Studio previously up to version 14. I now have version 20, and I don't see how to lock an audio track, and work on the video. Any help?

Last time I used my pinnacle I created an end slate for my video to be uploaded to RUclips. I am now on my next vlog and I tried putting the same end slate on the end that I had saved previously and the text I used isn't showing up. It shows up in the preview thumbnail but not when I use the actual text clip. On my previous pinnacle I could save end slates for easy access for my videos instead of having to create a new one each time. Help?

I am trying to apply "while balance" and "levels" corrections to multiple clips at the same time in the editing mode and can't figure out how to do it without rendering all the clips first and then applying the filters to a single clip. Any suggestions? Thanks...
Never found a way around that either, it says you can save custom corrections and I did notice a save icon in the corrections menu but as soon as I made an adjustment it disappeared and now it's just never there anymore. I'm starting to question whether I did see it lol. So your guess is as good as mine as to how that is done, good luck.
I installed Pinnacle Studio 20 yesterday. The bar below the preview that changes the speed is missing. Only 3 icons are in the middle of the tool bar directly above the timeline. How do I get them?

I want to get Pinnacle Studio 20, not ultimate. I heard it had a few problems such as freezing and sound syncing issues. Have those problems been addressed?
I unfortunately bought this edition, prompted by the fact I had been using Stusio 9 to Studio 15 for many years and with excellent results, Those were friendly, simple yet very efficient and fast working, This edition is TOTALLY DIFFERENT and not the least bit friendly. 1) the timeline screen shows NOTHING. I experiment as if being blind 2) to produce a simple title is a big adventure etc etc, I think to improve an application means to offer more possibilities in a more friendly way. Complication is not appreciated when being that hostile!
I agree with you so much! I need to move on from Pinnacle 15 because I cannot instal it on my new laptop which has Windows 10. t I am struggling very badly with Pinnacle 20. I am not stupid but why do they have to change the whole format and descriptions every time a new update comes out? They have made an easy and simple programme far too complicated!!!!
Please i need help. I have 2 pc's machines and the problem persist: The pinnacle studio 10, 11, 12, 14, and 17 won´t do a export a movie correctly with menus and chapters, IF i export my project to a DVD format with dual layer !!!!! If i export to a dvd format to a 4.7 dvd, the menus and chapters are ok, BUT if my project has 2 hours of video and if i export these 2 hour of video with a menu and chapters for a 8.5 DVD DL the chapetrs don´t work correctly or the image is not synchronized with the audio. What can i do? Does anyone have the same problem? Please help. Thank's.
Is there anywhere I can buy a book to have a reference to look at after watching your video or videos? I have spent the last couple hours watch PinnacleStudioPro who taught me what each button is for but not really telling me how to do much. So confused. Long story sorry. Had down loaded P 18 over a year or so ago. Then upgraded via download never got upgrade sat on phone several hours with support. Went to Video Maker that was free on my computer. Got Virus, took to microsoft, got fixed no longer ad a video maker program . Tried to get it but was now to confusing on the update. Decided to go back to Pinnacle BUT this time I bought the box. So if I lose it I can reload. I bought Pinnacle Stuido 20 Ultamate. Now I need a video made for a child .lol. Ok your vid is great above. But is there a book too???
If we can suggest you something, start following our complete PinnacleStudio 20 guide. This should cover at least the 90% of the features you see. All the rest is basically given by experience, if you want to go professional. There is nothing better than practice and practice by making videos on your own.

I've noticed that when I bring in videos or graphics into the title editor, it changes the colors of the images. There are all sorts of adjustments (offsets, opacity, etc.) but one is needed for color balance if the program changes the color balance on imported media. Is this a problem that just I'm having??
OK... more on this issue. When I turn on the "right eye" or the "checkerboard" on the 3-D viewing mode, the colors on the graphics are true. In other settings, they are not... Go figure....
Why can you not answer the question that so many people have raised!!?? We cannot see the footage in the viewing window. We just hear the sound! Please can you once and for all answer the question!!!!
in pinnacle studio 20 ultimate. i place videos in the second track. they all render perfectly. but when i put a video above it in the track above it wont render at all. can anyone help me?
when I try to make my video slow motion, fast motion, or try to pan and zoom or put effects, were the video should be its just grey and it doesn't work to get my video back so I can see it I have to remove the effect please respond I need to edit videos and I cant when this is happening
Very well put together introduction but Slow down PLZ Things happen way to quickly except for some one that is familiar with this soft ware but a complete beginner get's lost by the third mouse move. Especially when you verbally refer to some thing like a panel and the beginner has no idea what or where this is or what U are or doing.
Is this program incredibly slow for anyone else? When I say slow, I mean like 30 seconds to switch from one track to another or nearly 2 minutes to open the screen to edit text?

The basics are the same of course. The only difference is in the advanced features (here not presented) and the number of transitions and effects. Do not worry if it is Ultimate or other versions!
Hi, user of pinnacle since pinnacle 7 to 15.... but after 16 it's not the same... I buyed pinnacle 18.... remarked some points which are not very "good" points.... then I buyed pinnacle 20, always the same "bad" for me.... I explain may be it's my fault.... first - to decrease the audio of several clips on the timeline, am I obliged to make ONE by ONE ? imagine if I have 100 clips to do it....( in pinnacle 15 once I decrease the audio, it actions for all the timeline, it's faster....) second -imagine I finished my editing today, and tommorrow I added some clips at the beginning of my editig, all audio aand insert videos are changing their places.... (in the pinnacle 15 they move automaticly with the original clip) so I have to begin my editing and move the audio, musics and videos inserted manually ONE by ONE.... third - in pinnacle 18 at the left side (navigation) I create my folder and then in the empty folder I import from the top left... but in the 20 th this is canceled, I cannot import directly in the folder wher gone this function ? fourth - in the middle of a clip on the timeline I choose and cut a small part to do slow motion...impossible to do it, the slow motion I choosed is acting on the side clip and I am never getting a continious clip with a slow motion or fast motion) in the middle... how to do that slow and fast effect ? thank you for replying...
first - you didn't watch the whole video. It is evident :) second - you can solve this by importing your clips in independent vacant Tracks, move all the 'old' clips inside your Timeline as much as it is needed and then move the new clips at the beginning of the Timeline. third - this is substituted by the Import section: select the interested folder and click on Import. All its files inside are automatically selected. forth - this is made with the Speed Effect plus keyframes. You can check our dedicated video to see how to apply Slow/Fast Motion.
I had the same problem. I tried converting an MOV file into an avi, wav mep2 and mpeg4 with no luck. I contacted Corel and this is what they send me: Please manually reset via these steps (Make sure to save your project first): - Close Studio. Press Windows + R keys together to get Run command box. - In the available field type (or copy and paste) %localappdata% and press Enter key. - Rename the Pinnacle folder to Pinnacle.old - and Pinnacle_Studio_20 folder to Pinnacle_Studio_20.old - Start Studio 20

Reminds me of Final Cut Pro 10 but this will work on PC. It's easy to use and is very powerful

You can lock it by using the options on the far left (check out this video).

when I exported my video every other clip has the grey background that I told you about in my last comment I'm thinking about giving up on pinnacle

With this Pinnacle 20 program can you load a project made with an earlier version of Pinnacle like Pinnacle 14?
It should work with the 90% of its content.

You split the original video and then insert in there your own sequence. Then, you *must* render the overall video again.
I want to get Pinnacle Studio 20, not ultimate. I heard it had a few problems such as freezing and sound syncing issues. Have those problems been addressed?
Not at all..Pinnacle Studio 20 is one of the most stable versions we have got so far.
I'm sure it would be if it worked. It looks like a lot of people are having the same issues

They are what holds the video, audio, etc for editing.

I unfortunately bought this edition, prompted by the fact I had been using Stusio 9 to Studio 15 for many years and with excellent results, Those were friendly, simple yet very efficient and fast working, This edition is TOTALLY DIFFERENT and not the least bit friendly. 1) the timeline screen shows NOTHING. I experiment as if being blind 2) to produce a simple title is a big adventure etc etc, I think to improve an application means to offer more possibilities in a more friendly way. Complication is not appreciated when being that hostile!
I agree with you so much! I need to move on from Pinnacle 15 because I cannot instal it on my new laptop which has Windows 10. t I am struggling very badly with Pinnacle 20. I am not stupid but why do they have to change the whole format and descriptions every time a new update comes out? They have made an easy and simple programme far too complicated!!!!

On the text is there other Graphics you can add to them like make them move on your video?

I have 2 pc's machines and the problem persist:
The pinnacle studio 10, 11, 12, 14, and 17 won´t do a export a movie correctly with menus and chapters, IF i export my project to a DVD format with dual layer !!!!!
If i export to a dvd format to a 4.7 dvd, the menus and chapters are ok, BUT if my project has 2 hours of video and if i export these 2 hour of video with a menu and chapters for a 8.5 DVD DL the chapetrs don´t work correctly or the image is not synchronized with the audio. What can i do?
Does anyone have the same problem?

Is there anywhere I can buy a book to have a reference to look at after watching your video or videos? I have spent the last couple hours watch PinnacleStudioPro who taught me what each button is for but not really telling me how to do much. So confused. Long story sorry. Had down loaded P 18 over a year or so ago. Then upgraded via download never got upgrade sat on phone several hours with support. Went to Video Maker that was free on my computer. Got Virus, took to microsoft, got fixed no longer ad a video maker program . Tried to get it but was now to confusing on the update. Decided to go back to Pinnacle BUT this time I bought the box. So if I lose it I can reload. I bought Pinnacle Stuido 20 Ultamate. Now I need a video made for a child .lol. Ok your vid is great above. But is there a book too???
If we can suggest you something, start following our complete PinnacleStudio 20 guide. This should cover at least the 90% of the features you see. All the rest is basically given by experience, if you want to go professional. There is nothing better than practice and practice by making videos on your own.

I need TIME AND DATE to be shown on my clips, can Pinnacle do this?
I've noticed that when I bring in videos or graphics into the title editor, it changes the colors of the images. There are all sorts of adjustments (offsets, opacity, etc.) but one is needed for color balance if the program changes the color balance on imported media. Is this a problem that just I'm having??
OK... more on this issue. When I turn on the "right eye" or the "checkerboard" on the 3-D viewing mode, the colors on the graphics are true. In other settings, they are not... Go figure....
Problem Solved... Apparently I accidentally turned on the "stereo" setting in the little "gear" icon in the middle of the screen. Oops!!!

in pinnacle studio 20 ultimate. i place videos in the second track. they all render perfectly. but when i put a video above it in the track above it wont render at all. can anyone help me?
That's because the order of the video tracks decides which must appear on the video project. Watch this video in full to understand what happens!
when I try to make my video slow motion, fast motion, or try to pan and zoom or put effects, were the video should be its just grey and it doesn't work to get my video back so I can see it I have to remove the effect

Very well put together introduction but Slow down PLZ Things happen way to quickly except for some one that is familiar with this soft ware but a complete beginner get's lost by the third mouse move. Especially when you verbally refer to some thing like a panel and the beginner has no idea what or where this is or what U are or doing.

Is this program incredibly slow for anyone else? When I say slow, I mean like 30 seconds to switch from one track to another or nearly 2 minutes to open the screen to edit text?

The basics are the same of course. The only difference is in the advanced features (here not presented) and the number of transitions and effects. Do not worry if it is Ultimate or other versions!
You can't subclip in the basic version so.... basically you can't edit video with the basic version.

Hi, user of pinnacle since pinnacle 7 to 15.... but after 16 it's not the same... I buyed pinnacle 18.... remarked some points which are not very "good" points.... then I buyed pinnacle 20, always the same "bad" for me.... I explain may be it's my fault....
first - to decrease the audio of several clips on the timeline, am I obliged to make ONE by ONE ? imagine if I have 100 clips to do it....( in pinnacle 15 once I decrease the audio, it actions for all the timeline, it's faster....)
second -imagine I finished my editing today, and tommorrow I added some clips at the beginning of my editig, all audio aand insert videos are changing their places.... (in the pinnacle 15 they move automaticly with the original clip) so I have to begin my editing and move the audio, musics and videos inserted manually ONE by ONE....
third - in pinnacle 18 at the left side (navigation) I create my folder and then in the empty folder I import from the top left... but in the 20 th this is canceled, I cannot import directly in the folder wher gone this function ?
fourth - in the middle of a clip on the timeline I choose and cut a small part to do slow motion...impossible to do it, the slow motion I choosed is acting on the side clip and I am never getting a continious clip with a slow motion or fast motion) in the middle... how to do that slow and fast effect ?

first - you didn't watch the whole video. It is evident :)
second - you can solve this by importing your clips in independent vacant Tracks, move all the 'old' clips inside your Timeline as much as it is needed and then move the new clips at the beginning of the Timeline.
third - this is substituted by the Import section: select the interested folder and click on Import. All its files inside are automatically selected.
forth - this is made with the Speed Effect plus keyframes. You can check our dedicated video to see how to apply Slow/Fast Motion.

I had the same problem. I tried converting an MOV file into an avi, wav mep2 and mpeg4 with no luck. I contacted Corel and this is what they send me:
Please manually reset via these steps (Make sure to save your project first):
- Close Studio. Press Windows + R keys together to get Run command box.
- In the available field type (or copy and paste) %localappdata% and press Enter key.
- Rename the Pinnacle folder to Pinnacle.old
- and Pinnacle_Studio_20 folder to Pinnacle_Studio_20.old
- Start Studio 20
