I actually never thought about how fun ch6, I never gave it much thought until you broke it down cuz I also love fe6 (and also cornering cath forever with a unit I abandon)
Chapter 21 made me love the game and immediatly put it as the best GBA game. It also made me stop playing the game for like 1 week, i was SPENT and exhausted. For me, it's the true final map. Neverending dream is way easier, and the 23,24 and final maps aren't really hard, it's basically a victory lap
Fun video idea! But you MUST add larger map image in corner of screen or something if you continue! Obv getting footage would be unrealistic without a lot of hours played or a lot of stealing content, but like its been a year since i played FE 6 and i cant recall every one of em on the little thumbnails alone :P
Btw thanks for awakening me to Bors I've been playing hard mode again and decided to give him a chance and having a tank really helps in this game plus he got a bunch of speed so he doubles pretty consistently
4:10 alright:counterpoint the game does warn the player about rutger spawning a turn before with the conversation between eric and rutger, if you get a unit killed by rutger in his ambush spawn its kinda on you
Counterpoint to the counterpoint: FE6 usually gives you fair warnings for reinforcements in the early game, that's true, but, in this case, I think the execution was a bit off. You are told that Rutger is coming out of the castle, yes, but you can't know exactly where he spawns. The logical prediction is that he spawns in front of the gate, but nah, Rutger seemingly leaps over the castle walls to the side and sprints a few tiles towards you before he even starts his turn. The range he has from his spawning position is pretty crazy, but the worst part is that he wields a killer weapon. It's a high crit ambush reinforcement that is probably going to hit one of your units even if you took the precaution of pulling the frontline back quite a bit. It's also a surprising dick move because it happens towards the end of a chapter that's not really hard or eventful, but the difficulty spikes terribly with this encounter. Also, it can be unfair even if he fails to kill your units, if he gets killed by an unlikely crit from the counter. Then you wouldn't be able to recruit one of the best units in the game. It doesn't even act like a tutorial since FE6, as far as I can remember from playing it, doesn't have other reinforcements with killer weapons, let alone recruitable mini-bosses.
I love most of the maps in FE 6. Lots of them are colorful (they have colors like purple and blue) and it has design like fe 1 and 5. Which makes sense.
If you do this again for another Fire Emblem, you should preload the images for all the maps in other tabs and switch to them when talking about each map, rather than just having the tiny thumbnail for the tierlist. They are too small to work with currently
I'd definitely move the final two maps of the good ending down to bottom of Its alriight or top of burn because they're just a big time waste of nothing interesting gameplay wise, just basically two barely interactive long cutscenes
I consider fe6 ch14 the worst chapter in the entire series, every time I play fe6, I straight up stop for like at least a couple weeks whenever I get to it. The individual parts(fog of war, desert, enforced ltc) aren't that bad, but combined they create the most toxic and unfun experience in the entire series imo
So true, imagine the devs. HEY GUYS LETS MAKE A DESERT MAP WITH FOG OF WAR AND LONG RANGE SLEEP/SILENCE STAVES AND TIME LIMIT AND SAME TURN REINFORCEMENTS AND AMBUSH AND AN ESCORT MISSION OF THE WORST CHARACTER OF THE GAME PEOPLE WILL LOVE IT Seriously, it combine every possible shitty things in the serie in one single map.
Ah yes, another chapter 16 hater! There’s way too many objectives and none of them are fun. I really hate how two of them are needed for the true ending too.
@@pksprite6401 Agreed. Not as much tension when I know a restart is only like 15-20 minutes lost. Screwing up at the end of a long map is devastating, just how i like my FE haha
I already disagree with just the thumbnail, this video is going to be great
Same, i like the "split your army in 2" idea, and i actually think Douglas recruitment is fun when you discover he won't attack Elphin/Lalum
profile pic checks out.
I'd like it if not for the bolting on the right
@@0y1onLongbow makes quick work of him.
Glad to see a fellow Binding Blade enjoyer. I would put 14 alongside the other top tier maps but otherwise very fun very cool epic tierlist
Missed opportunity to name Burn tier, "Bern" tier.

Based
Also a big fan of this format, honestly I prefer it over the characters tierl lists
I liked the desert map playing the game for the first time.
I have never struggled with henning I usually have 3 anima users by then deployed so lilina lugh and clarine and you can just rescue cheese

Great content man! Love this video format

Love this vid omg
Really enjoyed this do another one of a different one next pls.
Please do one of FE4. I want to see people's opinions of them...
I love so much FE6 that all the maps are at least alright to me.
But some maps are the bottom of alright such as 18 and 20x Illia.
banger video, but putting ch7 at the top is a hard disagree, that map is evil on hard imo

Just use the torch staff and your theives, and lean super hard into your newly promoted Miledy. It’s really not that bad.
tbf 25 turns or whatever it is is hardly an LTC, a normal player would be just fine.
Desert items really are stupid, though.

I hope all of them are in F
I disagree
Fe6’s maps are too long imo
That’s what makes them fun tho
