Thank you so much. Would the car shift out of park? When it wouldn't crank? That's what I'm dealing with on my 08 DTS!!!!!
That’s tough question it should shift out of part of it dosent crank turn the key to acc press brake and try it
I have. The tow truck driver couldn't get it to move either. I've check all fuses I can think of. Can it be a security issue?

Well u need to check that circuit there might be load or short to ground

@@RBTheMechanic I was charging the battery and the charger malfunctioned and over charged the battery and then my car made an alarm sound like i never heard before now nothing works at all. Nothing. (2004 Cadillac cts) Do you have any idea what's wring with it?

@@RBTheMechanic idk but a Lot of the acid over flowed then this loud alarm went off from my car and as soon as i unplugged the charger the alarm went off
@@williamallen305 usully that happnes on bad battery it prolly had sensor for temp some cars got that
Mine clicks, all the lights go off and the only way I can get it to start is by bypassing the starter relay. It’ll start for the first half hour once turned off but each day I’m having to do this any recommendations
Replace that relay see the outcome
@@RBTheMechanic already tried replacing the relay and it's still not working :(
@@Victoria-gc6jq ok so next step is to do some electrical test need to check to see when key is turned the control cable gets 12v could be possable bad starter motor

I have a cadillac STS lights turn on but it won't start/crank just clicks after a mechanic attempted to "fix it" it used to crank what could be the possible issue ??
Click could be coming from starter motor ur mechanic suppose to observe that and rule out bad starter it’s is the possibility of it
I have a Cadillac STS it’s been dying after a couple hours of sitting I have no lights on dash only way start it is to jump it I have a new battery and alternator please help
At night check to see if somthing is on or running check for lights. U might have drain
@@RBTheMechanic did that no lights on at all I just unplugged the “on star” wire harnesses hoping to see if that works that’s last thing I can unplugg to see if works I unplugged all the radio wires so hoping the on star was issue

@@RBTheMechanic do you know if the Sts models have battery fuses I cannot seem to find it it doesn’t say battery fuse in fuse boxes I have a STS V
My car won’t turn on any light at least if is been jump and when the lights go on I tried to started and it do a click and the lights shut off again
Ur battery is dead and ur jump is weak or not. Along good connection try charging up the battery and then jump it
It does a click like the video with the accord that u have post every time I tried to turn it on
@@lk_funny6596 well try new battery or charge it could be low power and ur jump is not providing enough power or not good contact other wise last bad starter but make sure u give it good full strength with battery
Why did the fuse blow?

I have a cts 2007 I turn the key and all the lights stay on but it doesn't start
Did u try just staring ? Dose it make any clicking noise

I have video on one car but it’s honda it’s makes clunk sound if ur car is making that sound it’s bad starter but do try to jump start it first low voltage will do the same

Literally new battery after sitting for months would start daily to let it run after missing a day of starting changed relay fuses no like no nothing and it’s not the battery 100%

No power at all after new battery and changed those fuses
Two hours labor to change a fuse! That’s 15 minutes tops. What a rip off!
Not a rip off honestly count and if u consider replacing fuel pump or something else pay $1200. Better find that honest mechanic and pay him for his service. Ur choice
