Ive never seen such simple lighting setups create such beautiful images. It truly shows how important it is to have great blocking and chose great locations.
Even on a hollywood commercial level - this setup of lightning would work in most small indoor spaces with 1-2 windows. Everything you need for a decent image - 1 or 2 600watt COB light for faking the light, lightmat for wraping the light indoor, a few tubes/small panels, sheers and ton of duvetyne cloth for negative fill everything. When you start adding tons of light inside the room your image turning into some yougurt ad with no shadows.
Everything is top notch as always. Even nothing to add. The only thing that could add 5% extra is adding the negative fill to the camera side. But even without it contrast looks good. And the grading is another cheff's kiss. I do like how you try to keep everything in that low toe of exposure between zero and 25% range. Looks like Fincher's and other directors lever of exposure.
Can we get a new color tutorial!? Your lighting setups are so beautifully simple…but your COLOR GRADING feels masterful which seems to take the best of your simplistic and make it feel a lot more complex.
Lovely looking images. Thanks so much for sharing this. Do you expose your skin at Middle Grey? Or do you play with the latitude of the dynamic range to get those clean dark areas? Also, do you ever set your white balance warmer than the key light to achieve your final warmer look in some of these images? Or is that achieved in your final Grade? Sorry for all the questions, but your work here is really inspiring and i want to try out some of these ideas for myself. Thanks again for these fantastic videos.
you make lighting look so... easy? in the best way possible. i always thought it was complicated but I definitely don't feel as intimidated by it after watching your videos lol
Your Artificial Light positioning show me the story … dark death sad & heavy-mood etc. Thank! I got some tip from your clip. Story doesn’t need explanation just show what it is
Forgot to ask. What are you using for checking the exposure on set - Light meter, El Zone system on SmallHD monitor, False Color or just looking at the monitor without anything?
Was the 600x at 100% intensity when you were shining it in? What would you say to someone who only has a 300c and wanted to recreate what you did or is it impossible?
I really appreciate what you done for this film bro... But why don't use the natural lights for the sunlights and set your WB at all,, anyway all goods bro..
Your channel has grown so much over the past few months and I’m so proud of you 🥳 you show how important it is to be patient, consistent, and hone in on your craft :) keep up the good work!

The color grading is shogun status. I would to love to see the color grade breakdown of the footage
Yes!
😂😂
I love your work, but i really want understand how you create your looks in davinci

False color!
싱코 인터컴 사용하시네요. 홀리랜드대비 저렴해서 관심이 가는데,, 사용하시면서 불편한건 없으신가요??
아직 크게 불편한 건 못느꼈어요!
Was the 600x at 100% intensity when you were shining it in? What would you say to someone who only has a 300c and wanted to recreate what you did or is it impossible?
around 80 I guess. I would use 600 in a bright daytime lighting condition
Nice!!!
Thank you! 🙏
很棒!!请问27mm 1.5x在og下 ,没有暗角吗? 不需要裁切画面吗?
there's a little bit of vignetting on the corners!
Jamais déçu 🤗🤗
