Pulled this after years away from the business Mr Anderson was and probally one of the nicest ledgends in the business. I opened a few shows for him. Loved his Disco DoubleSS error. No one but him could have pulled that off.

We need to get the old country back in.It grows on people and tell of a ways of life. The one thing I would do to get the old back in.The grand ole opy.The name may have to be changed.

Good singer, prolific songwriter. Had to be about 27 yrs of age when he wrote this song, as Porter had hit record on it 1967. Gifted as few seem to be now.

I used to listen to this song when I was young. My father had the 8 track and he and I went everywhere together. I had and have the vinyl as well as on my computer too. If you look at the original album cover art it looks like Faron Young on the couch with the "wife." This is the name of an Porter Wagoner album from 1967, this album has a host of good music. Try "Hundred Dollar Funeral" "Shopworn" and "We'll get ahead someday.

This is just a classic song. Please don' t label it. Bill Anderson is one of America' s greatest song writers. Even when Disco was so popular, Bill took the dive. The double S album. Yes album. CD's were in the further. It went GOLD.

Love Bill's version - but I really hate these sad faces of the audience - like at a funeral - okay - it's not a funny song/content - but no reason to cry (almost)!
