Put God first /before materialistic, he will provide what we need not want . ❤️✝️
Let the wrong people in your life leave and let the right ones stay by protecting them. The question is, how can you know who the right ones are? The right people care about your soul, they will help you get to heaven, they will help you grow spiritually, and most of all, they will love you with the love of the Lord. Amen.

I keep my worries, anxiety and needs first in my mind. Then I start to pray for those things, but literally after few minutes I get disappointed and stop the prayer.
I must go empty minded to Him, giving Him and His kingdom the priority. ❤

Tithing is not a priority for Christians, it's not even a biblical notion (there were at least 3 tithes under the Old Testament Law), but generosity is the principle. It is not necessarily generosity to an institution via weekly donations (where is that in the NT?) but to those in need (that is in the NT). So, let's make sure you get the rocks defined properly.

Pastor Josh Surratt you nearly lost me at the mention of 'dream team.' What is a dream team? Something the worldy church dreams up to be a part of and have everyone else be jealous? To be worldly so you are admired? Is it our goal to be admired? (sure we have that as our earthly fleshly person) but does God admire us if we go His Way, or if we are on a 'dream team.' Do people who work from 4 to midnight get to be on a dream team? Do single housewives raising children on their own get to be on the dream team, or do they just hear about it and imagine it is the ultimate? It is not the ultimate. It is not even mid=ultimate. It is pride to talk about being connected with the dream team. A person 'can' be on a dream team and be working for the LORD alone. Good! No problem, but the minute his/her chest swells and they reject someone else b/c they are not on the 'dream team' is the minute that the dream team dwindles to nothing and causes the anger of God. Yours was a good illustration except for that one revealing phrase: dream team. You may think I"m nit-picking. Not my intention at all. I am talking about pride that takes us down. Where some feel all in and others, many feel all out b/c they are not a part of the so called dream team. God hates pride. We are to embrace the body of Christ, everyone has a place and a position, even if they are still a toddler. THAT is the one and only dream team, but generally we don't call ourselves that. We call ourselves soldiers - we are soldiers in an army advancing to change the world, whether we look good before the world or not.
Hi Tracie, thank you for your feedback. Some context that may be missed if you aren't familiar with our church is that our "Dream Team" is what we call all of the volunteers who serve and work together to help make church possible. 🙂
“For no one can serve two masters...”
This means you can't fit God AND everything else in your life. Don't teach that everybody should put God first and then they can keep everything else, teach them to pursue God only and make room for Him, He will bring into your life what needs to be there.
So what are your priorities

yeah thats cool and all but becoming a devout christian wont get me any love or admiration from anyone and i be in the same solitude. and as long as i am not important to someone or cared about by someone i cant bring myself to do anything, i doubt Jesus could help me with that, or he just doesnt want to make a miracle happen that provides me with the boost to keep fighting. but why am i even typing here, not even the christians care lol
