- Healthy lentils can be turned in to palatable rasam "Moong dal rasam" / Hesaru Bele Saaru. You can consume it as soup too or can relish with hot steaming rice. The tomato, chillies and especially ginger adds a unique taste to this rasam.

Ingredients:
Yellow lentils (moong dal) - 1/2 cup
Tomato - 1 big sized
Green chillies slit - 3 nos. (adjust to taste)
Ginger crushed - 2" piece
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - 1 tbsp (adjust to taste)
Lemon - half
Coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
TO TEMPER:
Ghee - 2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
SERVES 4 people
ಇದು Very similar to ಹೆಸರುಬೇಳೆ ತೂವ್ವೆ! !
