- Parked up for a few hours and get told to leave by the council!!! No Signs to say I cant park there!! What do you guys think?

Point to note, I've had similar conversations re "camping", including with a MoD copper after spending a weekend on an army training area. When I pointed out to him that I'd not found a legal definition of camping he got a copy of the MoD Byelaws regarding public access to training areas they don't use the word "camping". They say "sleeping out". I'm sure that if there is a legal definition then the government's lawyers would be aware of it. I'd ask Brighton Council what they mean by "camping".

They’ve probably had complaints from nearby residents so had to do something. What they’ve done is pretty low level “scatter gun” stuff and they’ll hope that it’ll alarm a minority enough to thin you all out abit for a while to show the residents they have done something. I’d ignore them until they start sending letters that have you name and reg number on…..

Scare tactic left for all vans. Too many vans in one place most look like live in setups & too near residential . So local residents complained to council to do something. I haven’t seen many of your vids, but i wonder why you choose parking next to busy roads. How far do you need to travel to a countryside park up ? or is the noise from the gen a problem in such locations? Happy travels 😊

Council do not own any land it is the publics land, remember also they are our servants and servants do not tell us what to do.
I’ve studied section 77 a little bit, I’m no expert but after reading they don’t have to name you, just the land the vehicle is on. Your correct about the residing part, I’m not sure how they can prove that. For anyone else in this situation It’s worth noting, under subsection 5 they cannot fine you if you are parked up “due to illness, mechanical breakdown or other immediate emergency” which must be proven.
My only observation would be that this video acts as a kind of proof that you had received the notice and chose to ignore it. Also, it was unfortunate timing as it looks as if those other vans are parked there all the time and you unfortunately received a notice which was directed at them.

I'm going to assume that if there are a bunch of other letters flying around the street and as none of the letters have specific number plate details on them, that they've just bulk printed a bunch of letters and stuck them on any vehicle that is bigger than a car. They're calling your bluff. It's getting really hard to park up in the UK. The anti car camping feeling in the UK is terrible now, especially since so many have no choice thanks to the awful way the economy is run in this country. I also wonder if it's an angry local who has mocked up a letter just to scare everyone off.
I did speak to the council and they admitted it was them.. I am gonna ignore it like everyone else

There’s caravans without cars!!! They are never quick to remove travelers. Not that I have a problem with travellers but come on. They are scared 💩less of them.

I don't think its just you though. They probably gave all those vans the same letter. I bet most of them are there overnight. I never park up next to that many vans and never on private land.

Tear it up who are they? They are our servants that property is public land councils are suppose to look after our property and serve us. They are not doing their job and she even gives her name. They are talking legalese which does not apply to men and women.

What's the prob? Just move on ... the fact is that it's private land, so you aint alliwed to stop there so don't make waves. There are a hundred of other places ..
The problem is if they have the power to move you off a public road then they have to power to make you move your car outside your place

They have no right at all they don’t own the land they are there to take care of the public lands. Everything the tax payer has paid for, public land is not private property it’s not the councils land. It is the publics. It’s just a land grab. Ask to see the deeds. And proof how or why they acquired a lay-by near a public road??
