Yes, this fits for OCR too.
The OCR specification A states the following:
'To include the triplet, non-overlapping, degenerate and universal nature of the code and how a gene determines the sequence of amino acids in a polypeptide (the primary structure of a protein).'

There isn't one, which is why it is a non-overlapping code to reduce the number of amino acids potentially impacted if a gene mutation occurs.
