I always thought that the reason music can evoke imagery is because it has all of the elements of language and expression minus the words.

Or maybe all of the elements of "Understanding" minus the language?

I've always felt like my thoughts and imaginings are grossly limited by language. I frequently have epiphany level thoughts but when I try to write them down or share them with people the essence of their beauty is completely lost and ends up sounding trite or cliche. Full disclosure I've had several mushroom trips so maybe that has something to do with it.

Humans will continue to tell this story about what their language is and never directly address the physical mechanism itself. The way to truly understand this mechanism (i believe) is to study the direct motor output, or MCE (muscular code execution).
Using visual perception to directly witness MCE in real time... therein lies the answers. It must first be seen, then described.
Our conversation seems to bring us into this quasi daydream state and into a "spell" of sorts. And as long as we stay "in the spell" we are unable to see human organisms & physical acts such as speech... as they really are. Cut through "the spell" of language and look directly at the human organism generating it with tongue and lips and jaw and lunges.
The neural code that dictates the movement of the speech articulators... THAT is what needs to be seen/watched/discussed... but again.. in real time. Not looking away and going off to think & write about it... but staying there and watching the thing as it's working in real time.
Maintain this ability to understand visually and not descriptively... I think that's the direction we need to go in.

Great clip Lex. Love the guest. As a student of meditation, sleep study, and how I agree and relate to how my dreams and meditation combine into images and feelings instead of words. The words I get are usually a simple but profound statement covering many many areas... some connected and not. I write mine down or record them...but I also find it helpful to set a quiet alarm on my phone to wake me every 3 to 10 minutes in order to bring me to enough consciousness to view and review the information,. and it's most always in rapid, very rapid pictures telling a story. In that state I can choose to take a note which helps trigger the series if images and ideas

It's fascinating that we are able to do that. I don't know.
    Should be a t shirt. It's such a universal thought b

I love music so much. I dont wanna be "that guy" but if you listen to music on a medium amount of psychedelics, you can feel and understand the music on a higher dimensional level.
You don't need drugs to understand this though. You just need to know, we are all expressions of eachother , in individual forms.
If there is a God, I believe it would be a collective of all consciousness, knowing and understanding.
This life is truly unique and amazing. I pray we can live happy and sustainably.
Knowledge erodes fear. But fear is always there and should be payed attention too. Just a little bit.
Also know thy enemy. You can't change what you can't understand.
We can't all be daryl davis, but we should all know of a man who is a legend of the passed. We need another Daryl davis. But with political divide, minus the communism!
Fair is fair. All people aren't equal.
But all people should be given a fair shot.
