Great stuff! Love it! Thank you! I was in 7th grade ,just a couple of weeks from my birthday when I was given a radio with FM and began listening to underground S Cal radio!
Thank god this exists--the 3 versions of the song on the "East-West Live" release were all in pretty poor sound. We must thank Bill Graham at the Fillmore for having the foresight to record shows from this era on a clean soundboard. Since the band mentions that the album had just come out, I'd gather that this must stem from the band's Sept or Oct appearances at the venue.
Oh, Sorry. I thought you were listening to the Cipollina recording I put up at the same time. I was working on the track list for that one and just assumed. Lol
Great live version. Compares very favorably to the album version. Has some extra stuff in it, like that bass solo. Only time I heard a Jerome Arnold bass solo. And IMO his bass was mixed way too low on the first album and What's Shakin'.
Great album......raw blues......like Taste.....and Rory Gallagher........and Free.......where are bands like this nowadays?
Bloomfield's raga influenced guitar and Butterfield's wailing blues harp, what a trip! 🎸😊

You're welcome Mike. Thank you
The finest live performance of any genre.
They were guests in town. Must have been magnificent to see them
Window pane and a drive in the mountains. Perfect
Windowpane was the best !!! 😊

Thanks for all you do NDF! I was unable to attend the shows back in the day but now I have tickets to the best music of my lifetime!

You make my day Billyboy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'll keep digging and keep posting.
@@NonDirectionalFilms Thanks again, you're a good human!
I can just imagine Jerry Garcia et all in the audience, getting some inspiration from this band!
Fire play.
So good! These long jams are great listening when I'm gardening or doing other work outside. 👍
It starts a little slow but all in all pretty enjoyable. Not meant for general release. Glad you like tosue.

@@NonDirectionalFilms I gave that one a quick listen as well. I'll give it more time tomorrow. I'm so glad John recorded so much and saved it.
Amen
More great recordings, that you.
Your play on Fillmore East and West is funny
Inspired!
only Clapton and Bloomfield could do this as early as 66.
we all know
I'm not sure I've ever heard Jerry mention Paul Butterfield interesting
Coltrane influence on full display
and Ravi Shankar's Three Ragas 1956 ( on World Pacific )
