  • Do you think that seeing is believing? Many do, we prefer to trust physics and measurements.
We’re iris-GmbH. We’ve been working on Automatic Passenger Counting technologies for 30 years.
We’re passionate about developing solutions for public transport that help you not only see, but measure - with the help of our leading Time-of-Flight technology.
Our IRMA sensors send an invisible, pulsing infrared light into a designated space, like a bus doorway, in just a billionth of a second. That’s like snapping your fingers - only a thousand times quicker than that.
The sensor measures how long it takes for the light to travel from the sensor to the object and back. It does that for each individual pixel - up to 76.800 of them - at once.
As a result, comprehensive 3D images are formed and recorded by the sensor, which immediately become raw, real-time data that algorithms love.
There is no optical illusion, it’s accurate data: uncompromised by temperature, humidity or shade. Not even shape or size or mass entry or exit distort the measurement.
This data helps you plan and build better transport systems - creating fleets that deliver a more dependable, sustainable and punctual service.
Without a doubt, reliable and smart APC data is absolutely vital for getting the public from A to B efficiently and comfortably.
Do you want to shape the innovative transport solutions of the future?
Do you want to be able to believe what you see?
You make the decision, and together we’ll make the difference.
