    I regularly travel through Dawlish! Its amazing what you can see from a distance across the water!

    The line at Dawlish is quite rightly seen as a vital part of the network, and needs to be maintained. It makes you think though - if proposals came up NOW to build a new bit of railway dividing a town from its beach along a scenic coastline, there'd probably be an outcry! Funny old world. :)

    they should not be doing work when thers rip currents

      maybe if there was an inland route to cornwall they wouldn't need to be working in rip tides but until then the Dawlish seawall needs to be maintained so we who live in Cornwall can go about our business
