It took a lot of courage to post this falling and learning a new trick is the least fun to watch. I get it people want to see that front wheel up in the air going down the road. I'm a big advocate of documenting real moments and the process. Thanks for watching and yes that fall hurt.
Foot dragging wheelies are the easiest way to learn the balance point on a bike. I learned that way when I was 10 on a YZ80. I can tell by watching a couple of different videos of the Freego bike that you're riding the rear shock is way underdampened to maintain the balance point. You're going to need way more compression dampening and way less rebound dampening to maintain a long smooth wheelie.
Awesome video man, thanks for this. Can definitely see what you mean about the power, but it is totally still doable with practice. I grew up on dirtbikes, then have been on mountain bikes the better half of my life. So a bit opposite from you coming from a dirtbike but def think that will help once you learn the pedal/foot placement and get used to that balance point. I have also seen video of using the throttle to wheelie and also pedaling to help maintain it once its up. I mean afterall it has pedals so I could see that being helpful for longer wheelies. Thanks again and this makes me look forward even more now to get mine
loving your videos man!!! i’m actually about to order one tomorrow . they say they have some upgrades coming for the new one i wonder what could it be and have you heard anything about the new update version?..but keep dropping these video to inspire the community we are here for it..also when you doing something right you gonna have some haters lurking and taking notes of the process!!!💯can’t wait till mines get here
Awesome thanks for the encouragement. The only thing I know about the new one is they’re calling at the X2 pro. There’s a video on TikTok that shows it. But from what I can tell it just looks like the frame is a gray and you might have an option between blue or green, but the motor looks the same size unless they torque it different and it didn’t look like any other features as far as cosmetics. if you type in Freego X2 on TikTok, you should be able to see the video.
I just got and put one of these together. What’s attached to your chain stay taking some of the chain droop. It must make it sound better. All I hear is that chain in a lot of the videos I e watched.
Awesome! Definitely liked what I saw there! Ya it could use more torque but I think with practice it's definitely conquerable. Can't wait til mine arrives! Keep it up and thanks for all you're doing here 👍 👍 👍 God bless you 🙏 I'm also maverick lol .. I created maverick to hound ppl. Haha my bad . Maverick persona gone 😅 NO RUSH.
To learn: -Start the wheelie and stand up completely, it gives you open site to everything coming and teaches you the balance point at your own comfort level. -When use to that: start crouching down, then practice, practice, practice then practice some more until you can do it on demand. -Now learn to sit down more and get comfortable with the pivot point and take it gradually, you're not going to have the safety options anymore, you're going to fall on your back if you screw it up. -Go gradually, there is no rush.
This video is amazing. I have a X2 and I’m getting brand new rear brakes and I should be wheelieing soon there’s not a lot of videos of the X2 out and I make content on Instagram and TikTok and everyone just goes in my comments and is constantly asking can it wheelie is it a good bike and I wish they made more videos so that question would be already answered
I’ve thought about creating a TikTok and Instagram for this bike just to copy my content to other platforms I just have a lot going on right now. Yes when you’re one of the first to have something there’s gonna be a lot of questions. I’m one of those people that likes to know all the details about things that’s why I started this channel. my hope is that other brands reach out and I can help them to. Feel free to take any of the things that I’ve said and relay it to your followers on TikTok or Instagram. Hi, am about to release my brake pad video of what I found as far as replacements and the price.
@@E_bikeDad I was thinking of starting a RUclips around this bike bc other then you there’s no one else with this bike making quality content and freego them self messaged me and was asking if I wanna work with them and I’ve never had anything like that happen to me so I was thinking of just making some shorts to build subscribers then post long form videos
Not really they built a custom wire harness so you can’t upgrade the controller or motor. I’d get the Mantis x. Unless you’re worried about the cops in your area. Then get the X2. I’m not a lawyer all laws are different in every town and state. My state the x2 isn’t an issue cause you can operate it under your own power. (Pedal)
I actually thought you did pretty good. I wasn't doing wheelies but I crashed my bike the other day. I did something stupid I had my mail plus a small package in my left hand and I wasn't going that fast but I was on an incline and I started picking up too much speed and I made a mistake and I pulled the right front brake and it locked up and slid out from underneath me. I went down hard I don't know if I cracked some ribs or not but messed up my shoulder messed up my knee my face hit the cement I saw Stars. Then on the bike I bent the derailleur I scuffed up the front brake lever I ripped my seat and ground off a little bit of a twist grip. That happened on Friday so I haven't been out with it. it's been 4 days of pain. Not good
Thanks I appreciate the encouragement. it’s a bummer about that crash. I almost crashed myself just because they had a gap in the road luckily, I had both hands on the handlebars. I hope you feel better soon. I’m a very active person. I used to be a trainer. Make sure you don’t let it stiffen up stretch and keep loose. It’ll help the healing process.

sweet I'll make those adjustments. The power makes it hard to keep that front wheel up. there's no more power to grab when it starts to go down.

You’re welcome. I’m glad this helped to clarify a bunch of things for everyone.

It’s a chain tensioner that you zip tied to the lower swing arm. I’ll do a video on it tomorrow.

I cant wait to see your video where you show everyone exactly how to wheelie it like a pro, Maverick.
Yes, i be waiting on the video as well
To learn:

Thanks for the pointers I’ll work that in tomorrow when I practice

You gotta disconnect the rear brake sensor
You missed my previous video. Both of my sensors are disconnected. Or is this a question because the answers yes
It’s tough to wheelie I have the same bike. I come from dirt bikes and motorcycles the power just isn’t there to pull it up and keep it up
Yep
Have you seen the EKX X21 MAX? Looks like a clone bike of the FREEGO X2
It is
Is the freego x2 upgradable? I'm deciding between getting one of these and spending a bit on upgrades or a rawrr mantis x

@@E_bikeDadyeah I usually heal up fairly quickly so I'm sure it'll get back to normal soon. Thanks
From failure comes learning, from learning success can follow…
Keep up the good work…
