I’m definitely going to video the brake swap. I just hope people are easy on the comments because again I don’t work for a bike shop and I’ve never done a lot of these changes so we’ll see how it goes. I ordered new brakes yesterday so hopefully they’ll come in next week so I can get a video as soon as possible. I know a lot of people want to swap but hesitant because no one did being done or given measurements for the right parts. I will say the parts I chose are pretty expensive though.
@ the next bikes we end up getting we will be able to handle everything after this. It’s a fun bike but so many places for improvement and it didn’t even seem like they tried to address the biggest issues on the x2pro
Yea but I feel like I knew that going in. If they did the improvements I think they should it will end up being a $4000 or $4500 bike. And for that price I would just get a mantis x or E ride pro. The thing that should be changed on both bikes is the battery. It needs to be a 50ah battery. Even if it sticks up on the top. 50ah would make it a better bike for me. I wish I could order a custom battery that would still lock in and connect to the factory plugs.
Thanks for the support, I think I will do the brake video. I want some brakes with more adjustment and ones that are able to be bled. The stock ones have no adjustment on the lever and no nip for bleeding brakes.
@@E_bikeDad I was about to suggest the same thing. Those are real good. I have those on an older bike. There much better than the Freego brakes. I'm thinking about changing mine too.
Interesting video..i too would like to see your brake caliper replacement. I replaced the motor on my X21 To a gearless one similar to what you have and the bike is better at high speeds and honestly these brake calipers and rotors arent good for high speed stopping IMO. Compaired to my other ebike. Rather than changing them and bleeding the whole braking system I'm going to just use electronic dynamic braking buying a circuit for it. I'm an electric guy so that was the simplest option for me. Would like to see how your new rotors and brakes work out.
Hey there EBD, as always top flight vid.. Keep the information flowing. And yeah, we’d like to see the brake upgrade. As for suggestions on new 4 piston brakes, have a look at the Magura MT5’s. They look and sound like a good addition. I’m sticking with O’E’s for now.. (it’s a money thing😏) although the O’E’s i find to be doing okay 👌 But if you do some research on them yourself, you might like what you read and see.👌👍they don’t seem to overpriced. Between £60-£90 in UK 🇬🇧 But I don’t know in your part of the world. Hope this helps.?. Look forward to your next ride out, or work vid.!. Take care.👍
do you know what side of the pad its hitting locate the side. if its not rubbing the pad you might need to add a washer and make it taller the front brake has good bite even if you add a washer to it.
Could you show yourself lifting it in a video in the future? Im asking cause with the battery removed I'm curious if I could get it up a flight of apartment stairs.
I’m about to release a video of me picking it up and trying to go up some stairs. If you put some straps on the left side of the frame you could wear it like a back pack and carry it. I can pick it up but it will be heavy for some. How many flights of stairs are you going up?
@@t.o.1682 from what I know you can’t you have to buy a wire harness for the fardriver controller and the Bluetooth dongle to communicate with it. Then you can change it. It’s a setting in the controller
Bro, I feel like an idiot. I spent three hours trying to get that adjustment right and then I talked about it publicly on RUclips. I’m more embarrassed making some of these videos the wrong thing or maybe looking stupid. On top of that up on the Internet for hundreds of thousands of people to see.
I. Learning along with you so don’t be too embarrassed I am an idiot with technology and this is simply that. I also never rode mountain style biles growing up so almost daily maintenance is new for me.
You’ve been a life saver on some of my issues so please video the brakes

nice vid man would love to see the 4 pot brake conversion you do :)
I just bought one so the video will happen in the next 2 weeks

I just got MT 7 and matching disc check out the last short I posted
How you figured out any wire to cut to not limit the speed. And I love you vids bro you fr made the x2 famous 😂😅
someone sent me the wiring diagram for the controller. Thanks for the support.
@@E_bikeDad in a future video could you possibly show us how to cut it

@@E_bikeDad about 16 steps and I workout on the weekends so if it takes a bit of a struggle I can still do it. I was curious to see it though.
Did you change the rotor to the one you got in the link ?
no, I sent it back but It is still a good rotor when this one gets worn out I'm reordering it. I like the two-piece disc for heat dispersion
@ thought the rotor was a 160mm?? The 180mm would work good too??
On mine the 180mm was an exact match to the factory.
Hold a tape measure up to yours and then just convert it to millimeters
Also is there any difference from the normal and the pro
Yes I highlighted them in a video titled Rumors
@ alr thanks
@@E_bikeDadI watch it and did not notice anything different so I might get the x2
