Thank you for your content. I record off of 3 GoPro Hero 10 Black camera when I fly - one on the wing, one over head in the cockpit towards the instruments and one either facing me or facing out. I only want the audio from ONE camera so it has my voice, the co pilot and air traffic control. I have to make 3 compound clips that turn into on Multicam clip and Apple Support had no clue and you solved it within minutes! Thank you
Thanks for another great tutorial. Where I struggle is synchronizing the two wireless microphone recordings with the camera audio. It’s easy to sync 2 of the 3 but you can’t sync to an already sync’d clip and you can’t sync three sources at once.
Thank you for another good tip Jen. I always create audio roles for the different speakers so it's easier to see which audio component is which speaker. Especially useful in a roundtable or a scene with lots of people.
I didn't think to add voice isolation in the project. I normally add it to the master in multi cam and duck who isn't talking. I'll try that next time to see if it speeds up the process. You're right, working with multiple audio source in Multicam is a pain. especially when the audio crosses over each other the entire time
Hi Jen! Nice video 🤩 Regarding the lav mics, did you use the AW+ model or the GW+? I big difference in price between the two sets. Regards from Norway 🇳🇴
Doesn't it make the most sense to select "voice isolation" when you're inside the multicam clip rather than clicking 96 different audio clips? What if you need to change the level of voice isolation? Can you do that by highlighting them all?
I'm curious why you didn't put both mics on the camera with the two shot? Perhaps it makes no technical difference which camera they're going to as long as you select it for all audio but do wonder if there's a reason why. For a more advanced tutorial perhaps show how you might add different EQ and/or Compression to each component if that were necessary.
Yeah, that would make sense. The reason is kind of funny- the camera we use for the main shot is smaller than the B cam, and the lav receivers just fit better on that B cam. Kind of of a boring answer, but it's the truth.
Is there a reason to do it on the main timeline, rather than on the Multicam clip itself? Is it due to the audio processing? I found that at times you might hear a click noise when cutting between video angles if it's not on a low audio point if you do a lot of audio post processing. I was told Final Cut does some audio cross dissolve in the background to not have this click sound, but doesn't work too well if you do a lot of processing, even on a low audio cut, when switching video angles. Off Topic a bit, - anyone have problems using the transform tool when using the keyboard shortcut on multiple monitors since last update? If viewer is on your secondary monitor, and your on the active timeline montitor, using it will not engage the other monitor properly, and your stuck with zoom, move or rotate when using your mouse. You have to press the reset toolbar button first. Very annoying working with Multicam, and need to fix one of the angles, like an overhead shot.
Thank you very much! It really helped!

The best tip (for me) was at the end. It‘s rewarding to stick to the end 👍🏻

seni çok seviyorum çok güzel oldu eline sağlık... iyi çalışmalar dilerim🤜🏼🤛🏼
Thanks Jen....I find your tutorials well done and so helpful. Always learning more about FCPX. Thanks!
Awesome content, Thank you Jenn
Always very useful. Very many thanks Jen.

Anybody having issues with FCC crashing with a USB C audio source?
