- I thought Bird Priest was just a meme, but I wonder if this deck might actually be good. I took on two of the top meta decks in this video, and the birds put up one heck of a fight!

Killing the Mana tide totem is the right play I'm pretty sure. While yes, you're forcing more albatrosses to be drawn, you're continually giving them more outs, imagine being on their side and not having MTT, they'll end up drawing less albatrosses by the end of the game but they'll also draw less outs. In a way, the MTT has the potential to cancel out the albatross because if the deck was albatross, real card, albatross, real card, etc, the MTT would be powering 1 "real draw" even though it's unrealistic, it's a possible world that could exist. It could also just mean they draw 2 real cards, 2 albatrosses, so you could be forcing them to "not draw" for a turn.

@@RegisKillbin I posted this comment about the same time as you killing the second MTT. Being able to understand the "why" behind a play can help aid us in identifying future situations faster and making sure we are making plays that get us to winning lines faster.
I wanted to be more constructive than just saying "you're wrong for not killing it earlier, you got there tho" or something because, that's mean and doesn't help any of us improve to be better players since improving is something we should strive for. Anyways, love the content! Thank you for being able to make me grin even on rough days!

Aw yes, the great albatross deck. Made one myself yesterday. Now I can see how I can improve it with this video.

If this deck can win against Shaman i'll legitematelly craft this just for the satisfication.
Get the albatross early and you should be fine, assuming they don’t get lucky and manage to dodge all of them
the 2 class u dont wanna get as opponent are mage and shaman.....hex//polymorph your first albatroz and your screw...well technicly u can play around it if u destroy the albatros the turn its play so u can rez it afterward at least....well I do think the deck need refining still so it cant be counter..in my case I got an alternative play if that occur(2 statue 4/8 with kill a minion deathrattle...n'zoth….and Cathrena to rez minions...my deck version is weak to aggro though so I may have to some more refining on my own version....I also added 1 of those hero power thief card(thx frost lich Jaina for making it rough)

this deck has same energy as Patron Warrior, but for full success the deck needs more card draws I think.

Not the hero we deserve but the hero we need.
There was a sweet play at about 25:00 that got missed. Go face with the 8/3, hit it with Wretched Reclaimer to refresh it as an 8/8 rush, then kill then Exotic Mountseller with the 8/8. At that point in time, the face damage and on-board pressure would have been pretty handy. Maybe also heal it up with Squashling.
Had a face hunter rage quit because of this deck. Good times.
This man really shuffled more than a full deck of albatross into a highlander deck 😂
I literally just faced this deck testing a Highlander Dragon Shaman, I won because I turn 8 played Hagatha hero card and turned all my Albatrosses into (semi) useful random Shaman spells. Made my Zepheris useless though 😅

Karma for regis: Dreams of being in hell where a bunch of albatross are furiously pecking away at his beard.
Also, the design of the bad luck albatross is pretty grim if you think about it. The little albatross offspring is doomed to oppose its parents.
It's even grimmer when you consider the parent has to die first
But you can think of it as they have to keep up their cover by fighting on the enemy side
Give priest a few really strong deathrattles in the next adventure or expansion and all these cards could make REALLY good use of them
i personally played this archetype since day one of the expansion, and i played in a more combo oriented way, with power word clone, psychopomp, vargoth, and only double mass hysteria as removal. About galakrond, i put him in the deck with kronx only, since the invoke cards are not that great.

Eyyy I just beat up on this deck with Dragon Mage, I had fun and I didn’t really feel in danger. Plus it helped discount my Mana Giant when I played a couple birbs

I feel like the best part about this deck is that it slows down the opponent whenever an albatross is drawn, so leaving the mana tide totem up is in my opinion not the best play.
RegisKibler walks the path of the Hat'ed Weasel Tunneler. He brings the winged vermins into the meta just as his ancestors did in the face of overpowered legendaries. How can one be considered a troll when he ruins all of the Highlander Decks? This is the way.

Regis I know you look at these comments, ALBATROSS IN HUNTER!!! Dire frenzy plus all the beast copying will make the albatross a threat of itself! I've tried it a bit in ladder and omg it's so fun dropping 3 7/6 albatross' on the poor guy
If I was any good at coding, I would make an addon for the deck tracker that played a clip of John Cleese yelling, "ALBATROSS!" every time an albatross got shuffled in.

New to this expansion and don't keep up with releases anymore, but I'm a 100% Priest player and ahem Holy shit this would be an amazing addition to a Rez style deck(my fave) thank you for the inspiration and keep up the braimstorming

It doesn't look that important, I'm pretty sure you can remove that and play baleful banker. Undertakah seems too slow

Letting your opponent draw a lot is completely counterproductive with Albatross. The whole point is to deny him useful draws, not to increase the chance he draws them for their own sake. All you did by letting the Mana Tide Totem up is to make him care less about future terrible draws.

It's a decent deck, I tried it. However I won none of my games yet from the albatross. I just won through tempo and galakrond. A lot of cards are just useless if you dont draw the albatross. So it's still a meme deck, you'll have a better win rate I think with regular or thief galakrond priest.
