You are supposed to oil the leather washer in the pump assembly for smooth filling of air.

It's amazing, it's the first time I've seen a torch with that kind of structure I enjoyed the video friend:)

I think its to air light the cylinder as its pumped to take pressure.

Wow! the nozzle turned red, about 800 degrees C? I never knew you could burn paraffin like that! What was the other liquid you used?

I had to make my own, there's a good tutorial on utube how to make them, they are a pain in the arse but no way of testing the torch without it.

Just did a restore myself on a primus, had a few dings in the cylinder which showed up even more after polishing. The making of the leather piston was a nightmare. Do you have any tips how you made yours or where you bought them thanks. Brilliant restoration BTW.

Yes, I didn't want to but my view count on this video suddenly dropped from about 250 views an hour to 2 views an hour and it has been like that for the past week, so I thought I would I just reset 🤞

@@TheGardenWorkshopRestoration I just thought "am I daft or have I seen this before" because it seemed to clearly for just a Deja Vu

@@TheGardenWorkshopRestoration you have some learning to do. You'll get there. But this tactic is the worst thing to do. You'll probably find you set yourself back further now. Stick to your plan. Upload regularly and on a routine. The system favours this. Good luck
