Torque converter and valve body are known issues!! Yours looks valve body ish!! Went thru that with my 07.. $700 fix at the right person.

I was told you can drain and refill trans after you’ve hit over 100,000 miles
You can definitely still drive it to work… just don’t dog it out… save your money up for like 2-3 months and you’re good. Remember you also dropping the gears to 1st when doing pulls. 2nd gear should be the lowest you drop while the car is moving and that’s still too close to 1st for me 😂… I only drop to 3rd… keep the car… 3500 won’t get you nothing these days but a FWD beat up Impala… if you found a 06-07 Monte Carlo SS even tho they’re FWD… would be good content… but keep your car and fix it…

It’s a common issue I spent 3g to get back right
You need to upgrade the transmission and start upgrading internal pieces

Mine only has 135k miles same car and same problem, I noticed on really really hot days sometimes it stops working. I've heard its some wires actually underneath the shifter and seen alot of people with this same problem, either that or our transmission is going bad
Also if you ever do fix it, plz make a video on how to do it
Valve body.. save ur bread, it should run between $600- $1000 depending on who you take it to.

@rexxor4219 yeah.. on my 07 the car would not shift sometimes and the gears would sometimes stick... not the torque converter and not the gears themselves.. because those cause different issues. Chances are, u have stuck plungers in ur valve body. Got mine fixed for $700 from a cool mechanic with a used valvebody. Worked like a charm!! I had 150,000 miles on it at the time.. mechanic told me a lot of people change the tranny without doing the proper check and it be the valve body or torque converter like 80% of the time. Your best bet is to find a mechanic that will check it for a decent fee then charge you to fix the issue and not try to over sell you!!
@@lifewithbreion1392 But i dont have that issue you described as "would not shift sometimes and the gears would sometimes stick", plus i also noticed that if just leave it in "DS" mode without shifting gears it always works, but it breaks when i start shifting gears some days.

It’s a Valve body issue, had the same problem with my 2014 q60, just salvage one out of a lower mile trans of the same year. And it’s plug and play. Problem solved. And get and external trans cooler to prevent future problems with radiator mixing Coolant and Trans fluid because that was the overall problem with mine. after replacing valve body and adding an External Trans cooler I haven’t had another problem since
You can fix the car for around 800-1600 depending on if you do it yourself or not
Or just upgrade to the vr30 trans
