    We had a 40 day tour in Iran discovering its nature, history and kind people who made us fall in love with the diverse culture of this land. We truly hope that one day more tourists can travel to Iran and experience this amazing place themselves.

      What if you were gay? How do they get on there?

    • @Quasiguambo
      @Quasiguambo 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@Mcfreddo As this video noted, the decisions of the government, shouldn't reflect so harshly on those of the people.
      We are aware gay rights are not good in Iran, or most of the planet, lets be honest... i'm british.. we had a WW2 hero, one of the smartest, most important figures in WW2 strategic victory... and he killed himself because he was gay, and persecuted, it was a crime here at that time...
      My local prison, it was most famous for housing a gay poet... within the last 100yrs I think...
      And as the video also pointed out... what should be a reminder... it was only around 50yrs ago, that Iran was actually much MORE free, before we assassinated their democratically elected leader, for his socialist leaning ideals - and we, us, our governments, ended up pushing dictators on the Iranian people, because we did not care, and only had our self interests in mind (of course our governments, we knew nothing).
      And the rise of religious extremism, as a cover for authoritarian control, only came about as a consequence of that meddling and history.
      All this suffering and sadness, not the fault of Iranians, and all very recent.
      And again, I remind you... even those on our planet who consider themselves most civilised... have only been so for the last 2 seconds of human existence.
      .... and still somehow... their/ our, civilised ideals... don't seem to extend to putting human welfare above profits? ... Or seeing our shared humanity over the artificial lines that divide us?
      Any rights any person may perceive themselves to have, can be 'taken away' as quickly as the wrong hands deem it necessary or in their interests to do so.
      As we see in so many countries, our own included.

    • @Mcfreddo
      @Mcfreddo 6 месяцев назад

      @@Quasiguambo Very good. I wasn't asking for myself, I was asking for his response as of course religion poisons everything as Christopher Hitchens said so succinctly and that people outside the diversity group, truly minimise it, they don't even notice.
      And I do realise why Apple products have a piece taken out of their apple logo. Homage to Alan Turing. He was also investigating mathematically upon how things can self organise and that means no sky daddy oversight.
      But thank you.

    It's true that once we manage to put "politics" aside, Iran deserves the term "civilization" more than many other countries: it is indeed Persia.

What is happening in that region, and what might happen, is horrifying when you look at all the lovely people who are at the mercy of their leaders, and leaders from around the world. None of which will have any skin in the fight. It makes one feel small and hopeless when you know you can do little more than protest for them. Thank you for pulling back the curtain.

      As an American you can only enter Iran with a private guide.
      I am pretty sure it will be safe, but it might be a little costly as you have to pay the guides daily rate.
      Yet you will definately get to see the beautiful history and the guide will have much more knowledge about the places you visit 😁👍

    There is blogger iranian married to Norwegian woman. She cooks delicious Persian food & speaks it herself and likes to live in Iran not so much in Norway. I forgot his RUclips channel name. I watch it. Very nice.

    It was a great video. But as an Iranian I should say singing in public is not forbidden. What you saw in Isfahan, that peaple sang under the bridge, is not because singing in public is forbidden. Singing under the bridges in Isfahan is a long tradition there. I was born and grew up in Isfahan and know the traditions there very well. People from Isfahan are famous in Iran for their nice voices and because of the echo that forms under the bridges which makes the voice nicer to hear, many specially young people in Isfahan prefer to sing there. Just wanted you to know. I am glad that you visited Iran and experienced the hospitality of the Iranians. Hope to see you there again.❤❤❤

    Hi,
    As I was watching your story traveling through Iran/Persia my heart was racing and unwantedly so was my tears. I would like to express my gratitude for your honesty, frankness and how unbias your views and how true your comment explained the journey and exploration through historical Iran. With Iranian women perseverance and our bright young generation we will kick and end to 45 years of tyranny not in far future. WOMEN LIFE FREEDOM
