If you want to open your eyes to a different goat, one who is straight rap meets Shakespeare and forged in rock and roll, people need to stop sleeping on Aesop Rock. He’s the New York underground king and there isn’t another lyricist like him on the planet. And he has a massive catalog of exceptional music. I put him on a level with Em, but in spite of both of them being insanely talented rap artists they don’t really do the same thing. Fair warning, though. Aes is NOT for the casual listener. You have to dig deep and think about what he’s saying and you might want to keep a dictionary handy. Absolutely worth it, though. Really enjoying your reactions, guys.
