Please do not do ghosting... 50% of a screen over the other screen completely mess up the video, is uncomfortable and very much Not Professional, use picture in picture if you 100% need to have both screens there... or do a 2 screen split... too much of a good effort from the artist to look good to have a bad edition!

The checkerboard is more perfect if you slice the concentric circles and recombine them that way. Yeah its not one piece but it actually looks like a checkerboard instead of a weird chunky marble.
I do agree about the tools and I know I'll never own nor probably ever have an opportunity to use those fancy-schmancy tools. However, Buddy is just plain FUN TO WATCH! Thanks for entertaining us :))

He showed how to make the cake its up to u to put anything u want on or any design hes not being rude , its just people are used to having someone make jokes and talk a little while they are baking/cooking and he just got down to it . Hes not here to make u smile hes there to teach u and if u dont like it oh well he even said im not gunna make a design ima make it like i was baking with my kids .

But because he used the mold, the batters kind of blended together which took away the straight edged line we're used to seeing. The way he did it in this video is more efficient, but when you're trying to save time you tend to omit some details. For what it's worth, it's not too horrible.
I think the chocolate in between the layers throws the checkerboard look off. If you look at it closely, you see the pattern covered by the frosting in the middles

@@kbullard2982 actually they are not cookie cutters. They are pastry cutters. 2 in. 4 in. 6 in. 8 in and the are expensive...this isn't perfect but very affordable for someone who doesn't do a lot of cakes...
I love it!!!! Hopefully will come to New York soon to visit the bakery because Cake Boss is honestly one of my favourite programs! Obviously this is a quick tutorial so for anyone questioning his abilities then watch his show rather than these quick videos because he has made some amazing cakes! Love your work and always will!!!

The fact that he didn't crumb coat is what make me like him more, because the reason why crumb coat exist is because people are not used to how shaky cake can be,that's why you crumb coat to make the cake more stable and to make the frosting smooth,now he doesn't need all that and he already makes it looked amazing that's why he is an incredible baker because he know how to deal with the crumbs and the unstable cake and all that which is again amazing. From his hand you can see how experienced he is with handling cakes so to all of you people that think this video is not the right way to do it you guys are very wrong,just because it's different that doesn't mean it's wrong 👍 Sorry if my grammar is horrible,I'm asian
