She's miserable because her parents are dictating the wedding instead of letting her and the groom have what they wanted. This is a classic case of a domineering mother having the wedding of her dreams with her daughter standing in as the bride.

When you have someone else paying for your wedding they gonna feel entitled to have an opinion pay for her own and she wouldn’t have that problem point-blank!!! I’m pretty sure she didn’t have that attitude when she was cashing in mommy daddy’s checks for want she wanted and to disrespect someone that took the time to make her wedding cake was childish she lucky he made her a new cake because if it was me she would’ve had to go elsewhere.

The only reason she had a wedding was because the mom planned everything. I wouldn’t have started from scratch when they could have taken the layers off and redid the fondant and flowers, keeping the cake base. Of course I wonder if the bride wanted anything to do with the show in the first place.

Did no one else notice that the mother totally disregarded everything the bride wanted? The bride was rude about the cake, but the mom was forcing the daughter to have a wedding that was the exact opposite of what she wanted. Daughter should have eloped.

Yeah this was completely fake. When Buddy comes back and sees the "bride" piping icing on the cake, you can see there was no other icing on the cake. She was still piping on the very first icing bag she grabbed. My guess is producers told her to do this and told Buddy to walk back out of frame so she could finish "destroying" the cake.
You can even see her give a little smile when Buddy comes back right before they cut to the next shot. They both looked to be holding back their amusement of how ridiculous the situation is before they both had to get back in character. The second cake was always the original plan. Though the ending is still weird and unsatisfactory. I could see it fits her bridezilla story but it only served to make the audience resent her even more.
She ain't in the right state of mind to appreciate the second cake, which is why she ruined the first one, in the first place.

Buddy is a business man. He had staff hours and supplies tied up in that first cake. He mentioned that the mother was a good customer. When you are in business for yourself, you often have to swallow your pride and do what is best for the business, not what the person "deserves".

Buddy and his team had put in a lot of work into that cake. Walking into the bakery and ruining it is not acceptable in any way. What had Buddy done to her? Despite that he worked hard to make another one last min and she didn even have the courtesy to step out and thank him. Shameful! This girl neither deserves the cake nor a wedding being thrown by her mom. She probably cannot earn a dime herself to sponsor her own wedding which is why the mother had to step in. What’s wrong if her mom wants to have a say in her daughter’s wedding? It’s ok for the kids to depend on their parents for growing up, education and everything else but it’s not ok for a parent to have a say in a small matter like a wedding cake? If you look at how they cut the video you can see that some of the cake is colored and then it's not colored and then it's colored again this is absolutely 100% setup she is not like this I don't know her but just by the way they edited it you can see that it's set up

The daughter is dealing with a domineering mother. What she wanted was a lot simpler. I don't know exactly what kind of hold the parents had on her (there's usually something), but it wouldn't have cost the parents anything if the girl and her fiancé eloped in the desert as they'd wanted to do.

I think Buddy exhibited professionalism , and character. He did it for his business and he did it for the mom . I'm sure they were compensated nicely , but in my opinion , it just made me respect Buddy and his business even more. Kudos to being the better person and the cakes were both gorgeous .

The parents help their children pay for their wedding according to custom or if they offer or need too, but the bride and groom always make the choices and decide, it’s their wedding! There's no way this wasn't scripted. The first cake was so plain and ready to be destroyed. Someone like Buddy could crank this out in 2 hours. The second cake is what he does and it was beautiful.+

This woman isn't someone who wants things just right -- she wasn't interested in communicating her vision to the cake guy. She wasn't interested in inspecting the finished product.

CARLOS bakery is a legit bakery in Hoboken, NJ. He stays busy every day, and honestly he really didn't have the time to make another cake for this ungrateful child, that's what she acted like. There is real people that order on his shows. I doubt they was paid to act or his family would make cakes in a busy bakery for leisure when they make bank and have a line out the door and down the street to buy from them.
