Yeah this was completely fake. When Buddy comes back and sees the "bride" piping icing on the cake, you can see there was no other icing on the cake. She was still piping on the very first icing bag she grabbed. My guess is producers told her to do this and told Buddy to walk back out of frame so she could finish "destroying" the cake. You can even see her give a little smile when Buddy comes back right before they cut to the next shot. They both looked to be holding back their amusement of how ridiculous the situation is before they both had to get back in character. The second cake was always the original plan. Though the ending is still weird and unsatisfactory. I could see it fits her bridezilla story but it only served to make the audience resent her even more.
Buddy is a business man. He had staff hours and supplies tied up in that first cake. He mentioned that the mother was a good customer. When you are in business for yourself, you often have to swallow your pride and do what is best for the business, not what the person "deserves".

yes , im beginner and made book cake you know what the customer did during covid i made it so much difficulties i found the ingredients she covered it with a baking paper due to germs and ruined everything, bit i got the money bit its the same for the hard work and protecting till next day.

CARLOS bakery is a legit bakery in Hoboken, NJ. He stays busy every day, and honestly he really didn't have the time to make another cake for this ungrateful child, that's what she acted like. There is real people that order on his shows. Despite that he worked hard to make another one last min and she didn even have the courtesy to step out and thank him. Shameful! This girl neither deserves the cake nor a wedding being thrown by her mom. She probably cannot earn a dime herself to sponsor her own wedding which is why the mother had to step in. What’s wrong if her mom wants to have a say in her daughter’s wedding? It’s ok for the kids to depend on their parents for growing up, education and everything else but it’s not ok for a parent to have a say in a small matter like a wedding cake? yes , im beginner and made book cake you know what the customer did during covid i made it so much difficulties i found the ingredients she covered it with a baking paper due to germs and ruined everything, bit i got the money bit its the same for the hard work and protecting till next day.

I think Buddy exhibited professionalism , and character. He did it for his business and he did it for the mom . I'm sure they were compensated nicely , but in my opinion , it just made me respect Buddy and his business even more. Kudos to being the better person and the cakes were both gorgeous .

Buddy handled her much much better than I could ever...I would have refused and banned her for life. CARLOS bakery is a legit bakery in Hoboken, NJ. He stays busy every day, and honestly he really didn't have the time to make another cake for this ungrateful child, that's what she acted like. There is real people that order on his shows. I doubt they was paid to act or his family would make cakes in a busy bakery for leisure when they make bank and have a line out the door and down the street to buy from them.

Her mother was forcing her own expectations upon the marriage because, she said it, "I never had a dream wedding." The mom, despite the daughter repeatedly pointing out it wasn't what she wanted, just went ahead and ran right over her daughter to plan the wedding she herself had dreamed. It's sad. I doubt the mom even considered, despite being told, that she was doing that. What mon doesnt dream of planning a great wedding for their daughter? But this mom made no effort to even consider, let alone accommodate, her daughter's wishes. I suspect the mother's need fir a more grandiose wedding probably had a little something to do with social standing or acceptance, as well.
