Yeah this was completely fake. When Buddy comes back and sees the "bride" piping icing on the cake, you can see there was no other icing on the cake. She was still piping on the very first icing bag she grabbed. My guess is producers told her to do this and told Buddy to walk back out of frame so she could finish "destroying" the cake. You can even see her give a little smile when Buddy comes back right before they cut to the next shot. They both looked to be holding back their amusement of how ridiculous the situation is before they both had to get back in character. The second cake was always the original plan. Though the ending is still weird and unsatisfactory. I could see it fits her bridezilla story but it only served to make the audience resent her even more.
Buddy is a business man. He had staff hours and supplies tied up in that first cake. He mentioned that the mother was a good customer. When you are in business for yourself, you often have to swallow your pride and do what is best for the business, not what the person "deserves".
If that had been me, she would have needed the second cake, she would have been wearing the first and matched the second on her wedding day, pigment that intense is very difficult to wash off😂

That's 200% staged. When she was ruining the cake there was a cameraman. If she would do it in reality either the cameraman would slap her hard or called in buddy to stop her. She was not even wearing a wedding gown or not getting ready.
It was obvious to me that the bride didn’t want a traditional pale looking wedding cake. It seems she mentioned the colors in her wedding during the meeting. It doesn’t matter if she is a “bridezilla”. I think she assumed there the draping would be in one of her colors. Especially since the traditional white wedding cake is not so traditional anymore. I am over 70. By the time her mom got married there were people asking for color on their wedding cakes.
I think the first cake would have turned out great if the bride didn't ruin it...instead, she got rewarded for her bad behavior with a beautiful second cake, maybe even better than the first one. CARLOS bakery is a legit bakery in Hoboken, NJ. He stays busy every day, and honestly he really didn't have the time to make another cake for this ungrateful child, that's what she acted like. Buddy and his team had put in a lot of work into that cake. Walking into the bakery and ruining it is not acceptable in any way. What had Buddy done to her? Despite that he worked hard to make another one last min and she didn even have the courtesy to step out and thank him. Shameful! This girl neither deserves the cake nor a wedding being thrown by her mom. She probably cannot earn a dime herself to sponsor her own wedding which is why the mother had to step in. What’s wrong if her mom wants to have a say in her daughter’s wedding? It’s ok for the kids to depend on their parents for growing up, education and everything else but it’s not ok for a parent to have a say in a small matter like a wedding cake? here's a hot take: yes she is kinda miserable, but I get the impression from the initial consultation that this is NOT the wedding she wanted in any way. it sounds like she wanted to do something more like an elopement but her mom pressured her into a more traditional wedding. the daughter even says "this is your dream wedding" to her mom. That's 200% staged. When she was ruining the cake there was a cameraman. If she would do it in reality either the cameraman would slap her hard or called in buddy to stop her. She was not even wearing a wedding gown or not getting ready.
It was obvious to me that the bride didn’t want a traditional pale looking wedding cake. It seems she mentioned the colors in her wedding during the meeting. It doesn’t matter if she is a “bridezilla”. I think she assumed there the draping would be in one of her colors. Especially since the traditional white wedding cake is not so traditional anymore. I am over 70. By the time her mom got married there were people asking for color on their wedding cakes.

CARLOS bakery is a legit bakery in Hoboken, NJ. He stays busy every day, and honestly he really didn't have the time to make another cake for this ungrateful child, that's what she acted like. There is real people that order on his shows. I doubt they was paid to act or his family would make cakes in a busy bakery for leisure when they make bank and have a line out the door and down the street to buy from them.
