Didn't care for the quality of work at all. The purpose of making an edible cake is to eat it. I wouldn't eat that 'wood cake'. Could've made the roof of cake.
I wonder if an instruction manual on what is edible and isn’t edible comes along with every cake that comes out of this kitchen lol. However, this episode made me so happy my inner child is loving it!
They put a lot of amazing detale in it. However, I probably would have used either hard chocolate or gingerbread to make the walls, with cake supported by a base of cookie for each floor.
It nice and all but I just think you guys could have done way better. Doll collectors go to great lengths of detail. You could have made a China cabinet with sugar panes and dishes in the same style doll house makers use polymer to make pattern dishes you could have used chocolate fondant. Vases out of melted hard candy's. Little mini fondant flower bouquets could adorn tables in every room. Details like sneakers by the door... cookie on the table. Just imagine you could have set a mini cake on the table.
gigi Bakir yeah but most of the cake is just wood and fondant , and I think they could’ve done a bit better . mostly all of the furniture is fondant and that’s kinda stupid when there’s so many ways you could make them with candy .
Have you ever tried to do something very detailed or required a great deal of hand work? Gloves lowkey be in the way, I used to have to wear gloves at work because of COVID and it’s hot, sweaty and you have no grip. It’s terrible, as along as they wash their hands often it should be good
@@destinyelle7120 If surgeons can work with gloves on and not kill people I think cake decorators should be able to make details with gloves in. I do agree that if they wash their hands enough it’s ok though.

Yuna ik what you mean, but when you look at it you'll expect it to be a lot in terms of food. But in reality, the only edible part is the back part, compared to the rest of the things, there isn't enough cake... And honestly, you can see that their standards are going low, we all know that
Guys, stop saying it’s only fondant, wood and rice crispy because I know darn well unless your blind you are saw that cake. There trying to make realistic so there making a doll house part as well. They work hard on this so stop being ignorant. One time stamp-> 2:35
Okami-San Okay if this is just for display then wouldn’t a normal fucking dollhouse suffice? Cake, buttercream, fondant, meringue...you know what all of that is? FOOD. THAT NEEDS TO BE REFRIGERATED IF NOT EATEN. Does this not sound like a massive waste of resources to you at all?
No need to make it. What do you think the people want when they buy these cakes. I'm sure they don't expect a wooden dollhouse with sugar lining the walls

She uses a lot of rods and for the toy story she used just cake dummies BUT I do like some of her cakes and they are cute and she uses a lot of cake so I see where ur coming from
I’ve seen her videos and I love her channel, but not even Yo could make an open dollhouse without some inedible parts for the frame. She does a lot of novelty cakes but Buddy does much larger projects and most of those cakes are for display, not eating.
I dont get why theres so many haters lmao yall dont know how hard it is to make a cake. Buddy has found his success in the type of cakes he make. If u dont like it go watch something else.
WTF! thats disgusting... The only thing there is is the Decoration that is made from only SUGAR and BUTTER and the wood that came with the foundation... There is no cake or creame filling yuk...
To everyone saying buddy makes sculptures and his cakes aren't to eat. The clients literally make dollhouses, you think they want a mediocre fondant covered wooden dollhouse? 😂😭
Just wait… Somebody being normal and taking a bite out of the whole “cake” [loses a tooth] WHAT THE HECK ‘Ruins whole party’ -- -BECAUSE THEY LITERALLY DID ALL WOOD!
Y’all gotta realise this guy is famous for cake but EXTRAVAGANT cakes. So it’s more for the looks nd the meaning behind the cake than the actual cake. It’s weird but yah
People need to realize that most of the cakes that Buddy and his bakers create, are extremely intricate, and cannot be made with just cake. How can a doll house, which has two floors, be made with just cake? The whole thing would fall apart, that's why they use wood, for support.
It's a fake DOLLHOUSE CAKE like do u think theres gonna be pollypocket people who need a bathroom there gonna eat it like if this was you would u wanna eat a slice of bathroom
I'm graduating from the law school this year I have an exam tomorrow morning and I'm watching this at 11pm instead of studying .. if you are reading this chill life is so short so enjoy as much as you can we only live once 💋💕
Looks really nice, but 3/4 of the cake is wood supports so not much of it is actually edible. In other words, I don't understand the use of cakes like that. Spend hundreds of dollars on a cake to just be able to eat the little furniture
milksomecows yeah, I use to watch his shows so I was aware. I just dont get it, because you could just make it out of wood entirely and it could look less droopy and more precisely made. Then have cakes decorated around or in it. It would serve the same purpose and look nicer. Still, it is a really nicely made doll house just my thoughts on this specific cake design
Nothing this guy makes is good or edible. My mother and I were happy when his showed stopped airing on TLC because it was awful! Rice crispy, or everything is made out of wood, plastics and toothpicks with crap fondant.
it's because some insane cake especially high one or big one would fall without rice krispies and the wood sructure and the design will show more with fondant rather than icing
I wish they would include prices in these episodes. I'm pretty sure Im not the only one who's curious!!

Ihold8stars I agree very untidy
Maybe they didn’t have much time, such details take a long time, just saying 🙄
gigi Bakir yeah but most of the cake is just wood and fondant , and I think they could’ve done a bit better . mostly all of the furniture is fondant and that’s kinda stupid when there’s so many ways you could make them with candy .
*looks like there is another perfectionist in the comments*
lol just kidding
Ihold8stars well you can’t make that cake now can you? At least they ca n
I need someone somebody to tell me why they do not use gloves! Yea I know if can’t could mess up texture but ew
Gloves have more germs than hands so yeah
They thoroughly wash their hands, it's not disgusting
Gordon Ramsey and famous chefs doesn't use any gloves, they use their bare hands.
I love how they make a great team work even he works with them
Buddy and his staff are really talented.
Okay so all of y'all stop... If your gonna hate on him stop watching its that simple I'm am kinda mad at you guys like if your gonna hate I wanna see you make a cake this detailed, tall, and with love so plz stop its annoying
I JUST LOVEEEDD THE DETAILS ON THE CAKE ........it's sooo cute..!! 😍😙😘
Buddy's cakes are mom of decoration more than eat-able or food like.
Hmmm... Not enough cake. Just wood and fondant
Anastasia Blue right! Hardly counts as being cake
Anastasia Blue I think they cared more about the look more than the taste
Same
The backside of the house is literally four giant blocks of cake. That’s enough
One time stamp-> 2:35
You know idk why people insult the cake. “It’s not real cake” “there’s not enough cake”
Like you make it then
Like how about you shove it then.
C J Try to make it stable without using wood then!
no u
They asked for cake not wood but go off ig
No need to make it. What do you think the people want when they buy these cakes. I'm sure they don't expect a wooden dollhouse with sugar lining the walls
Should be wood and fondant boss instead
Jowita Dudzik hahaha
Lol right, ace of cakes used to go pretty heavy with the wood too
There was a lot of cake used just saying
Haterrrrssssss🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤫
Dont forget rice crispies
They didn’t show the reaction of the customer bc they asked where was the cake 😂😂
For real??
If feel like they shouldn’t use has much wood. Like the RUclips channel how to cake it actually uses ALL cake
Meloanary For everyone commenting on the cake to wood ratio he usually has extra cake sheet cake to make up or something like that! He delivers that as well as the specialty cake. He mentions this in various other episodes. :)
Laura Ooh, i didnt know that. That's pretty neat!
Even she couldn’t have made this only out of cake.
Ahhh who else loves it when buddy makes the adorable puns
Legend has it...the cake was mainly made out of wood
i cant imagine how hard it must have been to find out which parts are edible
WTF!
thats disgusting... The only thing there is is the Decoration that is made from only SUGAR and BUTTER and the wood that came with the foundation...
There is no cake or creame filling yuk...
Dlonra Reggenzrawhcs you are so right
Buddy: "Who wants to eat some cake?"
Also Buddy: "Who wants to find some cake?"
WOW i have full respect of whoever made the cake!!!😮😄😊
To everyone saying buddy makes sculptures and his cakes aren't to eat. The clients literally make dollhouses, you think they want a mediocre fondant covered wooden dollhouse? 😂😭
Just wait…
Somebody being normal and taking a bite out of the whole “cake”
[loses a tooth]
WHAT THE HECK
‘Ruins whole party’ --
-BECAUSE THEY LITERALLY DID ALL WOOD!
That lady was so hungry she probably ate one of her actual doll houses when she saw that 90% wood 10% fondant and 0% cake
This is one of buddy’s best creations yet
Y’all gotta realise this guy is famous for cake but EXTRAVAGANT cakes. So it’s more for the looks nd the meaning behind the cake than the actual cake. It’s weird but yah
Heyyy I wanna see their reaction to this cake
They are just so talented it's unbelievable👌😲💕
Their work is amazing. And my pet peeve about straight lines.is probably why I get nothing done...... nothing is ever good enough
When bingeing on RUclips makes you think about your life.......
i miss them so much. i don't even know how long has it been the last time i watched cake boss.
People need to realize that most of the cakes that Buddy and his bakers create, are extremely intricate, and cannot be made with just cake. How can a doll house, which has two floors, be made with just cake? The whole thing would fall apart, that's why they use wood, for support.
Wood %70
Rice crispy treats %15
fondant%10
Butter cream %4
Cake %1
Customer: I "wood" love a dollhouse cake.
Buddy: "Okay! I'm off to Home Depot 🚗💨
IT'S NOT BUDDY'S FAULT..HE HEARD "WOOD".
No bathroom?
Nope. That doll family does their business outside 😸
ha ha
Facts
Yes, because who wants to eat a toilet right? Ahaha good question btw.
Ralph’s my favourite by far
He’s so funny 😆
Where are the stairs how do I get up to the second floor?
“I’m allergic to rice crispys and fondant... oh and somebody’s wood makes me turn into a frog”
Order a normal cake then-
Looks really nice, but 3/4 of the cake is wood supports so not much of it is actually edible. In other words, I don't understand the use of cakes like that. Spend hundreds of dollars on a cake to just be able to eat the little furniture
Some Guy fondant taste like shit too
For designs like this where there isn't a lot of cake, Buddy usually brings sheet cakes to the delivery. To make up for all the lack of cake.
Some Guy All the furniture is just covered with icky fondant
milksomecows yeah, I use to watch his shows so I was aware.
4:16 is your face when your teacher says, not quite. Your on the right track. You almost have it
This is why there’s a difference between a artist and a baker
" accidently took a bite of the wood " Oh it tastes like wood it does taste like a house
Needs more wood
fiqra786 that cracked me up
😂😂😂
Ah theres always that one person that has to point out the obvious 😂
Are you a termite???
I think there is enough wood
It should have been "home Sweet home" instead of "welcome home"
Carlos the cake boss. You & your team is amazing. The cake you make awesome. We love you guys. Keep up the good work.
This would’ve been a thousand times more impressive if it was just a closed dollhouse made completely out of cake
i rather buy an ordinary cake than this one it’s only wood and foundant FOOD IS IMPORTANT
Sittie Salazar ya thats the thing about these cakes. Its 50% wood 41% icing and 9% cake
Sittie Salazar yeah but she just wanted to have a pretty cake maybe not to eat it but still
ikr
There is always a seperate cake
They bring more cake on the side the one they made was mostly just for show
Ralph is so cute😍
WhyDoYouCare Ain't Got One He is my fav on the show 😄
He makes an amazing looking cakes, but most of the cake is always a wooden structure, Rice krispies and fondant🤢
Where did you see rice crispies??
I couldn’t agree more
@spongebob Banddz weird flex but okay
it's because some insane cake especially high one or big one would fall without rice krispies and the wood sructure and the design will show more with fondant rather than icing
What is wrong with rice krispies and fondant
Buddys awkward pauses get me every time😂 1:07 0:50
Aww the lil edible furniture is so cute👌
