I was looking for this comment! Yes, it seemed to me they were really trying to get her to go over her budget by showing her mediocre dresses within her budget... and they succeeded.
@NNic. And the fact that they so proudly pointed out that she went $3000 over her budget like its a feat. You have a budget Randy. Stick to it. Atleast try.

Yes, unfortunately the Kleinfeld one wasn’t unnecessary. Unfortunately I think she would’ve brought the one from Kleinfeld if she did not put the deposit down specially at 50% she like that dress from the other salon but if you know you have two or three appointments at different salons don’t bother buying the dress you like, don’t worry. The dress will always be there. If you truly loved the dress you can always go back and purchase it. There is no such thing that says you have to buy your dress now. If you know you feel like you ain’t shopped enough. because it’s a waste of a salon time too continue to shop for a dress that you might never be satisfied with specially if you have your heart set on another dress
@@thehungrygoldfish very true. However I think this one just wanted to dress up and show off on tv. She is a body sculpture competitor so she does love being in the spotlight AND ON TV this time
That would not be the worst for me... Sometimes in the program they say that now she has been trying dresses for 1 1/2 hours, and then she continues to try on dresses. It could be 2 1/2 hours before they finish, and all the way through the consultant knows there might not be a purchase... And the consultant has a commission from the purchase, so it literally affects their economy... As my Texan husband often says, 'if you strike oil, stop digging ' that first bride needs to stop digging, she already found her dream wedding dress. .
I will never understand a bride not being able to stay within budget especially $5k?!? All the dresses were beautiful but to spend $7500 for a dress she’ll wear once? NO.
I loved seeing thinking of the second bride. Yes, she went over budget and yes she spent way more than I would on a wedding dress, but she was trying to keep it real and keep things in context, like about renovating her kitchen... it felt like she wasn't being totally flippant about the decision. I think she should have listened to Debbie and avoided the dress entirely though 🙈
The first bride made a huge mistake. Once you find your dress, you stop looking. My advice for brides is if you have a year or more before your wedding have fun looking at bridal magazines and get a feel for what you like but don’t start shopping for your dress until 8 or 9 months before your wedding. It takes about 6 months to get it ordered & delivered then you might have to get it altered which adds another 2-4 weeks. If you go shopping too early and buy a dress you may come across a dress later that you like better. This happened to my daughter-in-law. She was so excited to get engaged that she immediately went shopping for her gown and it was a year before the wedding. She bought a gown right away then months later found several that she loved more but her mom was like "too bad". You bought your dress and that's what you're wearing. So just have fun being engaged first then wait before you shop for your gown so you don’t end up like these brides. And if you have a strict budget with no wiggle room DO NOT try on anything over your budget because 9 times out of 10 you're going to love the more expensive gown then you're going to be disappointed when you can't buy it and every other gown after that isn't going to compare and will be a dress you have to settle for, which isn't an ideal situation.
I did my research from magazines. I found a dress I liked on the 1st salon/designer I visited. I did not buy it. I went to another 4 salons to check the other ones that I liked. I tried like 1-2 dresses per salon for a total of 10-11 dresses, so not that many. In the end, I went back on the 1st salon pretty confident that it was the dress I wanted.
@@Wriwnas1 - That's definitely what you should do and not put a deposit down on the first dress you like because you could possibly like another one better at another salon. I agree with your daughter in laws mom. And I hope the girl learned something from it about doing her research and think things through. A good life lesson...
First bride looked waaay better in the Kleinfield’s dress. The neckline flatterers her 100% more. As she’s leaving she says, “The dress at home.” Wench didn’t “put a deposit” on the dress! She bought it and took it home.
The last dress with flowers etc is the most beautiful wedding dress that i ever saw and it looks nice on her because she has the figure to go with it. gorgeous
What's hard about the circumstance of the second bride who went way over her budget is that you wake up the morning after your wedding and have a piece of white fabric you spent $8000+ on hanging in your closet that you can never use again. (I think a lot of people are optimistic about the option of reselling, but if you are successful in reselling your dress, it's usually at a price that is half what you paid, or even less! Not everyone who has your sense of style is your size and vice versa.) I wish they would do a follow-up with the big budget brides and see if it was really worth all that money to look beautiful for 6 hours.
The bride can afford it. She will see her pictures 20 years from now and still will be happy that she looked stunning and had her dream dress and wedding.
I spent around $500 on my dress with alternations. It was absolutely gorgeous. One day I'll donate it but I don't feel guilty that it sits in a box right now.
@@mariesmith1616Or she will look at her wedding pictures 20 years from now and think that the dress looks ridiculously out of fashion, or look at her wedding pictures, think that she looked beautiful, and wish with all her might that part of this money had gone into a college fund or an initial payment on a house.
The epitome of first world problems. She has a dress that’s beautiful and use the extra money to pay for rent, a car, your honeymoon, literally anything but another wedding dress. It’s just one day out of zillions for the rest of your life.
I didn’t care for her original dress with the shiny fabric and the pick ups. But she liked it, spent money on it, so she should not have gone looking for a dress to beat it. Really rude to waste the consultants time when you know you won't buy
5 месяцев назад+1
I believe that they charge a fee for the appointment. It happens every day. The time to buy a wedding dress is when they have their annual sale and the prices are really cheap.
she just wants the perfect dress, its her wedding. She probably bought the first one because it was the closest to what she was looking for and wanted to snag it but shes at a store with a larger and better inventory, hows she wasting anyones time when shes paying
My dress was 200, bought a month before my wedding (the original didn´t fit bcs of covid cancelled wedding) and I loved it, everyone is entitled to spend their money however they choose, but I think you can get something really nice for a lot less.
Why do young ladies insist on trying on dresses that are over their budget ?!?!? I will NEVER understand that. She said she was hoping she would hate it but of course she didn’t. Unless u know u low balled the limit when u told the consultant then don’t try it on !!!! Some are fortunate enough to have the money if they really wanted to pay more but most of them don’t. They set a budget for a reason. I wouldn’t want to see anything else except the ones in my price range.
Spending $8000 on a wedding dress is insane, in my opinion. Spending $3000 over budget is also insane. And she presents herself as being "!practical" But, not my money.
All brides should have their very special dress for their very special day. I'm so glad her entourage made her see that. She couldn't have looked more stunning because it was very obviously her dress! She looked absolutely exquisite! You only live once, Ladies -- Be good to yourselves!
But it's unreasonable. She said they wanted to renovate their house and such and they could use the money for it. It's a piece of fabric you wear once and there are many beautiful gowns out there for much cheaper
Where's your poetry? All eyes will be on her (not to mention the permanent reminder of photographs), the dress made her feel beautiful, and it's the most important day of her life. She's young, and she has a lifetime of paychecks and time to renovate. But the wedding only happens once. I know had she not gotten this dress, she would have regretted it forever... But you would make a good friend. You would be the one to say to me, "But Karen, do you really need that?" And my pocketbook, undoubtedly, would be much fuller. 😊 @@MsJubjubbird
@@MsJubjubbird But it was important to her. They will still earn enough money down the road to renovate their house later. I myself didn't spend any money on a wedding dress at all when I got married, because it was not important to me; I do not even like wearing dresses. But she loved it; it was important to her, and now she will have this memory and the amazing photos for the rest of her life. No regrets over the dress every time that she looks at the wedding photos.
@@SophieLaF0ntaine not necessarily. If they're in debt paying off a wedding then they'll have to pay it back. Then renovation costs will only got up and it might affect their ability to sell at the appropriate time ont he market. There are lots of things important to people that they can't have. It's part of life. She could buy a special dress at a cheaper store that is just as nice. Or at least stick within her budget. It's not just her money or all about her. A dress is one day, a house is a future.
I know its for the drama and for the extra fees but a business this successful could absolutely turn away any person who doesnt give them at least a full calendar year prior to the wedding date. Also require images of silhouettes and details that are appealing to the bride. Also a set budget that the consultants in turn actually respect and hit under. The price of alterations and accessories is gonna blow them out of budget if they push budgets or break budget rules.
If a bride wanted a side headpiece and a veil and a crown and a belt and a detached skirt and a belt and shoes and under garments thats usually at least 3k aside from the dress. And thats usually on the high extreme picky bride side of the spectrum
I would like to just say that contrary to what is often said in these videos, not ALL women want to be a "princess" or a "barbie doll." Some of us are really happy being who we are, real women, and making the most of that instead of trying to live up to some idealized fantasy that has nothing to do with reality.
I've noticed a lot of people get upset when brides on this show come in without the determination to definitely buy the dress here. But its good to remember that these situations are chosen by the TV show to make an interesting program, that the show and Kleinfeld's are benefiting from representing all these different kinds of customers on TV, and the customers are getting served and good experiences. Its a mutually beneficial relationship that is hugely beneficial for the store and the show and consultants, not one that is somehow harming them. Also, unless it is stated in a bridal shop's rules otherwise, I don't see anything that wrong morally with shopping around at different shops to see what is out there. It backfires and may not always be smart psychologically, but these are customers making appointments that the shop is keeping. These appointments are being filmed and are advertising for their gowns and brand, and when these customers have good experiences, not only will their friends see and be likely to come to Kleinfeld's, but also, so will the people watching these episodes, a massive audience. So a bride is indecisive about the dress she bought and wants to see what is out there? Interesting TV, informative, good reality programming, and shows viewers about the pitfalls that can occur when shopping around after already purchasing a dress. As for reality outside of the TV, this can happen for a number of reasons. I had two bridal appointments at two different shops, one David's Bridal, another to a shop my Aunt loved because her daughter had just purchased a dress from there. I knew little about dress shopping or either shop, but when I went to the first David's bridal appointment I found many dresses within my budget that I could try, along with one clearance sample sale dress I loved but didn't buy because I still had the other appointment to the local store coming up. When I went to the small bridal shop and told them my budget of under $1000, they couldn't really accommodate me and told me so. I offered to simply cancel the appointment and instead they insisted I look at their clearance section, most of which was also over my budget, and try on dresses that were over budget for fun or to see what I thought. I did this, but didn't want to get attached to dresses I couldn't afford, and left the appointment early. I didn't do this to waste the attendant's time, and was honest and upfront with them once I realized their prices were outside of my budget, and my aunt had recommended the store not realizing that it was outside of my budget. Someone from the outside could definitely assume I was rude for wasting their time, and its true that I could have done more research instead of just going along with my family and being surprised at the process, but it wasn't that big of a deal and we left the store on good terms, thanking the attendants for the help and moving on to places within budget. I would still recommend that store to others because they were very kind, if they have a budget of at least $5000. Meanwhile, I went back to David's bridal on black friday and bought my sample dress for double clearance at $100 dollars, and was ecstatic with my purchase! Was able to save the extra money to put into my wedding and guests.
The 2nd brides dress was over the top stunning. It was a show stopper dress for sure and she looked amazing in it. She will have the most beautiful wedding pictures with that gorgeous dress forever so that is something to think about too when choosing a wedding dress. However. Would “I” spend that much money on a dress? Nope. I am a numbers girl and would calculate to the penny how much money a dress would cost me for each hour that I wore it. $6500 + $600 rush fee plus alterations and taxes so I think she said she will pay approx $8000 divided by 6 hours = $1333.33 per hour. I personally could not justify that amount.
I think Kleinfeld needs to sell this experience. the show has made this expectation. $500 dollars for 30 minutes only to try on a few dresses and feel like a princess.
Proves that "Less is More." Always. The Brides original dress WAS pretty, but compared to that stunning Kleinfeld's - it was too much rouching, bunlded skirt, etc. going on. I'm guessing she couldn't return the 1st dress anymore, and could NOT afford a 2nd one.
First bride didnt want yo lose her spot on the show. She wasnt going to buy another dress. That first dress she already bought wasnt very pretty. The Klinefelds dress was so much better
Two thousand is not a very good budget for Kleinfeld’s. And looking for another dress after you loved the first one you already bought is indicative of a mental illness.
?? Gotta say the first dress was obviously looking to be pampered some more by sales staff, and maybe get to be on a TV show too, (somebody did NOT get enough attention as a child and hasn't grown up!)
I don’t think so. Probably she just had buyer’s remorse and wanted to find a dress that she absolutely loved and she didn’t find anything worth it to spend extra money on it.
WHY do these brides want a ridiculously over the top dress??? The second dress was lovely and simple and classic. Who wants to look like a piece of pastry, for heaven's sake??
Bride 1 only wanted to be on TV and "Everybody Look At Me and My Body Building Body on the TV".. She still isn't any more famous now than she was then.
Well she didn't go 3000 over her budget bc then a 4600 dress would also already be over budget (5K budget) with alterations/rush order...? Her budget was 5K not specifically stated to be 5K with alterations/rush order cost. Still, my god +5K for a dress is so much money
Another person pushing for the Pnina gown that she knows she can’t afford, now here comes the waterworks and the tears and the begging and everything else for the staff to come down on the price, including Panina. It’s just BS with these people do that’s why the staff doesn’t want to put them in the dress you can’t afford the dress you can’t afford the dress. There’s no shame in that, but don’t try to steal it either.I think that’s such crap and then the store gives and gives her dress. I don’t like that. There’s alterations, there’s all else have to lose out on money because this girl wants something? I want $1 million but what am I gonna do stand in the middle of the room and cry until someone feels sorry for me? This is BS.
$80,000 FOR A DRESS !!!!! HELL NO !!!! I don’t care if I was being buried in it as well . There’s NO dress worth that to me . I’ve seen some really gorgeous dresses and they weren’t as much as this one. I think a lot of it is the name and then she said the “rush fee” was $600 . So if she had plenty of time she wouldn’t have that additional cost . I just can’t justify spending that much on one dress no matter how pretty or what occasion it was for. I guess I can find more important things to spend my money on. Lol 😂
I do not see her in that light. I see her as an experienced consultant who knows the pitfalls and also only has a limited time to attend to each client.
I'm really tired of hearing the term "price point". Can anyone tell me the difference between price and price point? Because I think they're just trying to use more words to make it sound classier. 😏
Well I just feel like price point refers to a general area but saying price feels a bit more singular y'know. Like the price of a dress vs what's a good price point for a dress you are looking for. Cause price point is not very singular (even tho it says point), but like when I hear price it's like said and done. But price point it's like the point where I will say no if it's above this amount.
They totally suckered the 2nd bride… I’ve seen episodes when they give discounts to people with a $2k budget and here they totally played her once they saw that she loved the one over budget.
The second bride really did look amazing in that dress even though it was way out of budget

@@thehungrygoldfish Oh wow. now that´s cheap! Lol
My dress cost 450.00 dollars. What they spend on those dresses I could use the money for something else.
She knew she went over budget but said she would save somewhere else in her bridal budget so the total will be the same.
She could have gotten a dress within her 5000 budget 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️1 just as nice even better if u ask me
But how long would it take though? She didn’t have the time to go dress shopping forever.
Well she can wear one to the church and other one to the reception 😅😊 problem solved if she's one to think out side the box & is more adventurous 😅😊
I’m glad the second bride got the dress, in the end, money comes and goes
All brides should have their very special dress for their very special day. I'm so glad her entourage made her see that. She couldn't have looked more stunning because it was very obviously her dress! She looked absolutely exquisite! You only live once, Ladies -- Be good to yourselves!
I absolutely agree.
She wasn’t really shopping for a new dress. She was mostly just wanting to be on TV. Yuck.
I hope her boyfriend who dated her for 12 years paid for the pina dress…he owes her big time for that crap.
They probably waited until he finished his studies.
Do the sales reps get commission?
You bet that they do!
@BasicYTHandle in that case it is so wrong for her to waste the consultant's time and deprive her of a possible sale with another client
Definitely. Base pay is not enough to live on.
Jewelry pieces are another 1k easily especially from a place like this
Try some of Randy’s designs on the 2nd bride.
Ugh I just tried on a dress that was double my price range today and I hike regret it.
Dating for 12 years?
took him long enough
It made me wonder how old she is. Her fiancé must be her middle school boyfriend!
@@JelenaWWhy blame him? What if it was her that did not want to marry until now?
I liked her 1st dress better
Yikes....Not a fan of those flower things going down the front and the tulle popping out. But the rest of the dress was pretty
it's such a shame... that she looks so incredible in that dress
Also, not fair on the consultants to waste their time and their commission
She is allowed to keep looking if she pleases and pays.
Why not? Now she can be married twice.
😂😂😂Good point 😂😂😂
Bride 1: Amanda ‘settled’ for for the best dress. Boo hoo.
I thought that was Victoria Stilwell for a sec😭💀
I think it’s a recipe for a cake made from selfishness and rudeness.
Why do they wear their dresses so tight
There will always bathrooms to renovate! Buy the dress! 👗 your only get married once (hopefully)
It still astonishes me that brides would spend this much on a one day dress. The next thing you know they end up divorcing and then burning it.😮
The 2nd brides dress was over the top stunning.
Agree but she was going to take the extra from somewhere else in the wedding budget so the total will be the same.
Audio??? 0:26
I think Kleinfeld needs to sell this experience. the show has made this expectation. $500 dollars for 30 minutes only to try on a few dresses and feel like a princess.
That first bride looked stunning in the second dress. The dress at "home" looked cheap.
Going way over a wedding dress budget for s dress worn a few hours is not a great way to start married life.
Sound is off on this one.
With the first bride:
The top part of her dress applied to the bottom of the second would have made a perfect dress.
Two thousand is not a very good budget for Kleinfeld’s. And looking for another dress after you loved the first one you already bought is indicative of a mental illness.
Wow @ the last part 😂
I didn’t get the impression that she enjoyed the attention. Giving the body-building she may be a perfectionist or hard on herself.
WHY do these brides want a ridiculously over the top dress??? The second dress was lovely and simple and classic. Who wants to look like a piece of pastry, for heaven's sake??
SY2TD, why is the sound and video quality of this so incredibly awful?
Looks like an older episode, most likely shot in SD instead of HD
Bride 1 only wanted to be on TV and "Everybody Look At Me and My Body Building Body on the TV".. She still isn't any more famous now than she was then.
Lawyer? Cant give you budget for gown? Generous?
Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
She's disciplined and not frivolous. She stated it. What is hard to understand about that?
Jealous that much?
Sounds like they bought a house and are renovating. Plus it's a lot of money already
The dress is the most important after all
Well she didn't go 3000 over her budget bc then a 4600 dress would also already be over budget (5K budget) with alterations/rush order...?
Lol 😂
This is about 15 years old.... *sigh*
Some of these dresses are really not going to date well in photos twenty years from now. The classic look is so much better.
She should get the 50% deposit back and put it toward his sex change operation😂
You can’t renovate anything for $3000. May as well buy the dress.
This was like 12 years ago so costs were much cheaper. $3000 isn’t a lot but it will at least be something toward the overall cost of a renovation.
She resembles Dr Phil's wife.
kinda! but Robin has very scary big ole veneers. or some sort of plastic surgery. idk
Before her plastic surgeries.
😒 I get annoyed every time I watch an episode with Debbie as the consultant.
Why?
Why? Debbie was doing a fine job in this episode. 🤷🏻♂️
agreed! I think she can come off as annoyed by the clients at times and reads a bit dismissive in my opinion
I do not see her in that light. I see her as an experienced consultant who knows the pitfalls and also only has a limited time to attend to each client.
Really? I love Debbie. She seems so genuine.
first bride - if she can afford 5 dresses your mandate should be to sell her 5 dresses
Way too much money
*comes to get a second dress to “top” the first one*
*consultants find said dress*
surprised Pikachu face
the fist girl i tought why not buy 2 dresses
I'm really tired of hearing the term "price point". Can anyone tell me the difference between price and price point? Because I think they're just trying to use more words to make it sound classier. 😏
Well I just feel like price point refers to a general area but saying price feels a bit more singular y'know. Like the price of a dress vs what's a good price point for a dress you are looking for. Cause price point is not very singular (even tho it says point), but like when I hear price it's like said and done. But price point it's like the point where I will say no if it's above this amount.
@@lilspanda8641 Hmmm, I'll have to think about that. I don't think I get what you're saying. 🤔
The price point is more of a price range, whereas the price is a singular number.
They totally suckered the 2nd bride… I’ve seen episodes when they give discounts to people with a $2k budget and here they totally played her once they saw that she loved the one over budget.
