The reason why I love, It's a Wonderful Life, is it give you hope and renewal, for me at least. I have been watching it for decades. No Christmas season could go by without watching it. Now I own it on DVD.
As long as our kitchen and bathrooms were in decent shape, thats the best we could do when our kids were little. Your home always looks ready for company. And Wolfgang is so precious.
When my son was 5 we went to Canada to visit a friend who was a zookeeper at the Toronto Zoo. We got a behind the scenes look at all the animals. My son was most impressed with the seagulls in the parking lot and the wild bunny in the Rhino enclosure, He also prefered the box the toys came in ,than the toy. I totally agree kids don't need a million toys. They are easy to please! I've never had mayo on a monte crisco. It is usually jam or mapple syrup.

I like the message but dislike the face that he was miserable basically his whole life! Like he wasn’t doing what he wanted- sure, that’s life - sacrifice but he didn’t embrace it and enjoy it he was miserable!! Lol I mean the end was nice but geeeesh
When we were little, grandma had a huge sand box...that's what I'm putting back this year..sqyare wooden box...with the seats in the corner, just like hers...and a digger...excavater..thingy we had, we loved it

I had a rule in our house. If you get something out to play with, you put it away before getting out the next thing. I said I would throw out the toys if not put back where they belong. Some ended up in the trash. Big learning curve. I wasn't mean, just trying to teach respect for their things.

Kim I agree with you on why people like “It’s a wonderful life”. It’s so depresssing. My parents say yes but he overcomes things and it’s a happy ending because he’s thankful for what he has.
THANK YOU for the declutter inspiration! I have to agree with the minimal toy thing. At first my oldest didn’t have much because we didn’t. As we became more established we bought and received more and more. You know, get them everything we always wanted and didn’t have. We noticed the kids didn’t play with the toys as much as their collection grew. So I began to box things up. They were all fired up finding toys they forgot all about and thought I had tossed. I found that 2 totes (18 gallon) was about all my boys could handle. I say 2 because some toys are just bulky. My oldest loves art so there was a dedicated art box but the same applied to that. Keep it simple. But any more than that and not only is it hard to find what they want to play with but hard to tidy up and they don’t even want to take stuff out because of the cleanup after. Now my oldest is out of the house and my youngest has his collectibles and some select toys he likes to keep around. But his things still are about 2 totes full. I also noticed their creativity was boosted- not as much complaining of boredom when we pared it all down. Strange but true.
Letting this play in the background at work knowing I'm gonna watch it tonight when I get home again is how I support. It's like 13h30 here in SA now. Lots of love Kim😄
I do that too! I play it as soon as I see it post and then play again the next morning while I'm on the treadmill or later in the day when I'm folding laundry or something! Double Kim, double fun!
Both of my sister's children hate cooked veggies. They were having fights to get them to eat at dinners. They now put out a veggie plate with dip at supper and it is eaten with no complaints.
Nothing like a good declutter to welcome spring! We've traveled all over the house and gave Mr. Clutter the heave ho. My mom worked for Publix bakery for thirty years and there is no raisin paste in there cookies. They come in frozen dough pieces from Lakeland and when they made them from scratch mix it was just regular sugar cookie recipe and regular chocolate chip cookie recipe. My mom started back in the early 80’s when everything was made from scratch. The only thing made from scratch is the bread. She has been retired from publix for going on 8 years. I love all your videos I wish I had your energy, back in my day when I was young and my 3 girls were babies was the most joyful of my life. I had the energy to clean my house and now I'm working as a house keeper 1 day a week and the other 6 days I work in laundry in a Healthcare facility, I'm going g to be 65 in March 27 and I hardly have the energy to clean my home, I work 3 to 11 in laundry at night I really admire you and your videos there so uplifting

With the toy minimum thing. I found when my kids were toddler age having just one small basket of their toys worked well and every week I would switch the ones they didn’t play with much that week for the toys I had put up in a closet.

When our kids were little, my husband left a 15 foot square patch of dirt. The boys had more fun over the years. We unearthed matchbox cars and trucks, years later. Well worth the time. The only rule was straight to the shower when you were through playing. They used to take the hose and squirt each other off too. Good times!!,

My daughter liked using my tub bc it had jets, & my stand alone shower, & I'd often have 4-5 Barbies at my feet whenever I took a shower, & Littlest Pets all over the drain. In my bathtub there were beanie babies (w/o the tags) that, surprisingly, dried quickly & could be washed. Meanwhile, her bathtub was pristine, while mine was a tiny play area, but I knew it was temporary, & she was having fun:) I miss those days so much now, & my energy!

I was cleaning the fridge last night, with a migrane, while watching Amanda and This Crazy Life. Then I did some work on the pantry. My husband made a comment about it being late when I started to get ready for bed. I told him that if everyone just put their stuff away when they finished with it, I would have so much time. I think he was sorry that he said anything.

Make sure you cover your sand. It will become a litter pile for stray cats, if you don't protect it.

I agree with Avalina! Frosting is wayyy too sweet! I won’t even touch a cookie cake for that reason🤣 perfectly happy with a good ole chocolate chip cookie and some ice cream!

I love Monte Cristo’s! Never made it with mayo before. That sounds weird to me too. Lots of times they are served with raspberry jam for dipping. It’s amazing!

I was cleaning the fridge last night, with a migrane, while watching Amanda and This Crazy Life. Then I did some work on the pantry. My husband made a comment about it being late when I started to get ready for bed. I told him that if everyone just put their stuff away when they finished with it, I would have so much time. I think he was sorry that he said anything.
