So - with the 716th artillery being oppressive, would the jet recon plane actually be a good idea?
Air recon is always a good idea. Arty can work pretty well on counter-batterie or fire-at-will without active managing or visible targets though.
@@steffent.6477 agreed - but I raise this specifically for this division because AtkPwr and Vulcan have both commented on the uselessness of it.
@@TJ-sv4kv I've tried the arado but I prefer slow flying planes that spot for a longer time.

For teamgames with smart teammates, which can spare a few tanks, it can be a great supporter.
How? almost nothing in the deck is good. Neither air not arty is above average
@@CosmicLegion Maybe not in quality but in quantity. Combine 716th with a tank div for example and you have plenty of everything. I have 8 cards in the arty tab^^
@@steffent.6477 25th for example can do the same but with actually good arty. the 716 arty is mediocre at best. sure you can play it but its never good.

I'd take Rhyma Rapaana over 716 for an infantry support deck. Finns slap hard!

Let's be honest, this is secretly the perfect atkpwr deck: all infantry all the time
hahaha, if only they were actually good
on a note about 2k HE, yeah its absolutely crucial in handling AT guns. if you have nothing that can out range a Pak40 you will be at their mercy the whole game but the moment you can fire HE at them outside of their range its flipped on its head and the opponent has to hide them and take fewer opportunities to get kills.
Indirect fire is an option too. 60s need los block to safely position easily, but 81s have 3k. Not always as nice as 2k direct fire HE, but it's at least something to keep that kind of weapon off you.
@@TheMelnTeam indirect fire is basically the tool you use if 2k HE is not an option but it kills far less often than a 150+ or 105mm gun in direct fire
@@dominuslogik484 Yeah for sure, but when playing imperfect decks, you have to use what's available. I'd rather kill a target outright than suppress it too. Killing it is "permanent suppression", in a sense lol. Failing that, I will take suppressing and pushing it over letting it fire on my tanks!
You can smoke them too, but that's pretty situational with how useful it is. Unlike tanks they are slow though, so it does buy a decent amount of time. Good to keep in mind when it will help, as it's less taxing on munitions than sustained suppression.
@@TheMelnTeam I think for the soviets the Zis-3 can in a pinch substitute for a lack of direct fire HE because if you are 2Km away you can get a really accurate indirect fire onto target but its kind of situational and it honestly feels like a lot of soviet divisions don't get many Zis-3 in the AT tab where they are cheaper as most of the Zis-3 are stuck in the arty tab.
Its why I harp on it as a necessary tool all the time haha
I can't tell you how many times I won or at least gained a draw without using tanks, with older decks. I tend to be more of an infantry fighter. Tanks are often a last resort but I am getting better about using them since WG days. This deck has great AT options. A matter of perspective?
If the infantry were actually good, then I would probably love this division
Hey, AtkPwr do you mind bringing up the fixing of the Ju 88-s1, to only have them come in on b phase like festung Grob-Paris div. The start of the game cheese the roads is so unfair.

honestly with the long open ranges and lots of little patches of trees this map should be pretty good for a division fielding lots of long range AT guns.
now see if it can take on the finnish armored division lol. hardly the best division but I think it might actually hard counter this with its good infantry and spamable tanks.
You can definitely be overwhelmed by light armor no doubt
oh and my obligatory post, do you think this would be on equal terms with 7th Eesti?
