This took me by surprise. All the cartoons, movies and games that adapted Carnage, they all portrayed him as an independent serial killer and I never could have guessed he was gonna be a cult leader in this universe. Bravos to Insomniac for subverting my expectations.
The cult storyline is relatively new in the comics. To revive Cletus and set up the absolute Carnage storyline. It wouldn't be surprising to see Shriek appear in a potential DLC, as one of Cletus's followers or second in command.
If it doesn't show up as a dlc, it should happen in the next game should said game come to fruition. Although given how violent and brutal Carnage can be, they might have to change the rating up a bit...

For anyone who didn’t or still doesn’t realize it, the reason this symbiote sample turns red is due to the train crash causing its container to crack abit, and Cletus’s side wound not yet healed, so by holding his bloody wound then the tube, his blood seeped into the vial which the symbiote then absorbed, thus changing its genetic self. And yes it changed at a genetic level becuase you didn’t see venom change color despite being covered in kravens blood, and it’s part of the origin (not sure how far it will go in this universe) that the carnage symbiote fused with his blood not just his body, so it’s awlays inside him
Really excited to see this version of Carnage, with Insomniac's great villain track record. Doc Ock was a great main villain unique compared to previous versions, same with Kraven, same with Venom. I actually almost wonder if they would do almost like a reverse Carnage origin story where since the original Venom was killed in the main campaign of this one, it could return for a spinoff as Eddie Brock Venom after Kasady and the symbiote are separated, seeing as how they seem really eager to make a standalone Venom game.
Oh Carnage is my favorite, I was able to guess it due to murals, and the cult rhetoric, still made me doubt though until the end of this quest line, until yuri named his aliases, quite curious to see what they do with that
Ya it sucks, to many now dress up and play games not becuase there well versed in the material or just enjoy it. But becuase it’s trending or popular and they know it will pull attention tot here page if they get in on that popularity
The subversion of expectations was fucking fantastic. One of the rare times he was not just an independent serial killer. Smarter, more cunning, and very meticulous despite egging on his potential demise at the hands of Yuri. He’s confident, and his future as Carnage is going to be incredible. Definitely my personal favorite side story of the game, especially since it was almost completely separate from the main story, and even had its own subplot of conflict between Spider-Man and Wraith, how their approach to vigilantism is fundamentally different despite the exact same end goal of saving innocent lives.
This game made me go "Oh shit!" a lot, which is awesome. They shoved so much spider-man lore into this game(the last one too), and they're definitely going to be running dry with the real big, fan favorite stuff in the next game. Hopefully they're just going for a trilogy and don't make a bunch games that just, people are bored with.

In the comics carnage does bind whit miles at some point so if isn't already in the game we might get a carnage miles suit whit syombiote abilitys
I personally think, HEAR ME OUT! Insomniac will make a VENOM game, and in that game Venom and the Spidermen will have to take on Carnage and Miles will merge with Carnage at some point. A game where you play as Miles, Peter, AND VENOM???? JUST TAKE MY MONEYYYYYY!!
