    I have Remis blinds and find they are only real good for when I put my van in the storage yard to keep the sunlight out. I use a TaylorMade screen cover (worth every penny) whenever I'm in the van and don't bother with the Remis blinds. Absolutely agree 100% about using the campsite facilities wherever possible. For anti-rattle, I bought a roll of plastic drawer liner from IKEA cut it to size and sandwich it between my plates cups etc. Totally with you on the winter storage, no point spending money on those useless dehumidifiers, save it and buy camping beer.

      Oh yes… camping beer. We will look out for the IKEA draw liners. Our cover is TaylorMade and very happy with it too. Thanks for watching and your comment.

    Seasons greetings Paul, I'd like to add that if like us you store the van near a field then a mouse repellent spray is a good idea as we decided to go away to moreton in marsh the day before it snowed and found 2 mouse nests and when we arrived on site I couldn't work out why I couldn't fill the fresh water until I saw it pouring out from the pipework a mouse had eaten. Prevention better than cure! Also, remember to remove toilet rolls and pot noodles!!!

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  Год назад +1

      Thanks. That is always a concern for me too and we need to cover that in a future video. Are there any specific products/items you have used that you would recommend? The toilet rolls (such a valuable commodity in 2020) and pot noodles is a good suggestion too as we don’t want to roll out the welcome mat for them all. Merry Christmas to you and your family and all the best for 2023.

    I really like the dry humour and information..... but "At the end of the day" is repeated too many times, which makes me laugh and then I have to rewind to listen properly, but "at the end of the day" is then repeated and I laugh... around and around it goes. Keep up the good work. 😀

    Following one of your previous videos I purchased a TaylorMade screen cover what a superb quality product it is brilliant and worth every penny. One tip from me - make sure you put the the cover bag back in your van asap to avoid it from blowing away - I didn't.

    Hi. I am a new follower to your channel and collecting our 2020 T590 next week. Can't wait. Just a quick question, do you have a link to the correct winter fridge vents. TIA Dan

      Our vent covers were for vent size 257x432. There were 3 different sizes that might have been fitted.
      We used Nick at Brownhills Motorhomes. If you give him a call and quote your measurements he can probably help.

    Happy Christmas to you and your family. A big thanks for the videos, great help. Fiat Ducato motorhome, water pump rumbling about ever 3 mins. Any ideas? Done the usual running of the taps for trapped air to no avail.
    The Mrs is now doing a lot of rumbling! 👍

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  Год назад +1

      Thanks. That’s really appreciated. Typically a water pump will only trigger (unless it’s faulty) when there is a drop in pressure. That can unfortunately sometimes mean a slight leak somewhere. When we leave the van for the day and are sleeping in it overnight we turn the water off just to help preserve and remove risk of a leak when either out or asleep. Merry Christmas to you and your family too. I am unable to assist with how to stop the Mrs rumbling 😁

    Just noticed you had cover over your steering wheel before you put the steering wheel lock on does it come with the cover??? Or is that somthing I need to add to my massive list of things to buy 😂😂brilliant as always Paul these are very helpful tips 👍🏽👍🏽

    • @LiveforTravel
      @LiveforTravel  Год назад

      I use the “Small” Disklok as it fits nicely but I recommend buying a wheel “sock” as it protects the steering wheel. Many buy the medium but for our van it’s a little big and risks some “numpty” sticking a bar behind it and leveraging it off.
