Brian Holden ALWAYS messing up the lyrics to "It's Not Over Yet" is my favorite Starkid tradition actually
if memory serves he might have gotten it right in the evening show but it's fine we can just say the matinee version is canon /silly /j
Meredith and Brian singing Hatchetfield songs are something I didn't know I needed until I discovered this existed
It feels like it's closing an open loop. Same with having Clark (and Tomek!) playing the Hatchetfield music.
brian’s upset that he never got a solo. he’s clearly not remembering junior’s masterpiece that was kick it up a notch (reprise)
He mentioned that in the evening show. Saying that it was like 40 seconds
junior's reprise was the first one they brought up in the evening show :D the clip in this video starts just after they'd mentioned it
It must be such a cool feeling to have an entire theatre of people know the lyrics to your original musical
I think about that at least once a day 🥹
Hearing the audience sing “I’M NOT A LOSER~!” Just brings a tear to my eye
Meredith and Lauren singing Together is actually the cutest thing I've ever seen

Corey’s Show Stoppin Number was incredible 😍
Genuinely! It has changed me as a person. We've been so robbed of Corey getting to showoff all that Julliard trained charisma.
Seeing (and hearing) him performing as Max only strengthened my belief that the role was written for a younger Jeff Blim.
To be fair, Jeff wrote all the songs, so he knows how they should be performed. I don't know about Jeff actually being Max. I feel it would have a hint of chaotic that I don't think is really Max. Max stikes me as more of ego and having a god complex.
From what I've heard in starkid livestreams where Jeff has talked about NPMD originally it was going to be that Jeff would play Max unless they found someone better for the role, and then they found Will who played Max in the show
jeff looks very young, he definitely works for me, sorry he didn’t work for you.
@@natinthechat Not that he's old per say, but he's not as young as the character should be. But he could have done it better 10+ years ago. I'm thinking how he looked playing Aladdin.

2. Actually meeting fellow musical-theatre-Barbara, not to metnion it being before the said STARKID concert 😂

Thank you so so so much for this!! I have been a fan of starkid for years now and was never able to see one of their shows live. Watching this was so exciting, I was able to imagine being there myself, and could sense that unique, warm, and powerful energy this group and it’s fan base has. You’ve made me so happy❤

They did come to leaky in dublin that one time, and brian and meredith came to a tiny convention in galway once so anything is possible

I don't know if it's pushing the definition of "musical" a bit to far, but I'd love to see your reaction to The Bifrost Incident by The Mechanisms. Its technically an album but every other track is a narration and the songs are all telling a story.

i think it might be a mixture based on my recollection from the evening show. jeff's "ello london" intro bit sounded like what i heard live (and i've seen another clip of it that was a little different), but i specifically remember joey messing up a bit of the high school is killing me choreography that he doesnt in this video so i think its a bit of both!

The clips from further back/left are the evening show; the clips more central are the matinee!
