- Mormons & Christians differ in our beliefs about angels. While Mormons believe that some men become angels, Christians believe that angels are an entirely different kind of being. It’s actually a common misconception that Christians believe men become angels after death. As the movie (inaccurately) says - "Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings!"
In this video, we examine the Bible's teaching about the angelic host: what are angels, and where did they come from? Mormonism teaches that men can progress to become ministering spirits-and that the angels from Scripture were all once men. In fact, Moroni-a man in the Book of Mormon-later came to Joseph Smith as an angel. Yet this LDS teaching differs from historic Christian teaching about the issue.

I know a number of people-both Latter-day Saints AND Christians-who just assumed that EVERYONE believes that humans become angels. Was this something you've thought much about before?

Evidence showing Book of Mormon is a 19th century religious fiction below:
No wheat, no goats, no steel found in the Americas, no metal smelting furnaces, no metal armor, no temple as grand as Solomon's as described in 2 Nephi 5:16, no steel swords, no skeletons of these warriors, no graves, no cities (it would be impossible for a city the size of Zarahemla to leave no trace), no cattle, no chariot parts, no Nephite coins (listed in book of Alma as being used for a thousand years), no Jewish relics from supposed Jews, no metal plates like Nephites supposedly had, no artifacts whatsoever, no Nephite "reformed Egyptian" writings, no old world large seed barley (BoM claims that the Lehites brought their old world seeds with them) and no evidence the book of Mormon "prophets" ever existed. There is zero archaeological, anthropological, topological, linguistic, or DNA evidence to support the Book of Mormon. It would be impossible for highly advanced civilizations (Jaredites, Nephites) with millions of people to have vanished off the face of the earth.

Maroni chapter 10:4 says: "he will manifest the truth of it unto you" But:
THE BIBLE WARNS YOU about trusting your own heart. Jeremiah 17:9 "the heart is deceitful above all things". Proverbs 28:26 "He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool." Please don't be a fool.
The entire belief system and premise of Mormonism is based on a false claim the Bible was corrupted and "plain and precious parts" were removed by early Christian translators sometime after the apostles had all died. This is a very dangerous claim to make against the word of God, especially since God promised us his word would never pass away and would be with us forever (Isaiah 40:8; Psalms 100:5; Matthew 16:18, 24:35; 1 Peter 1:23-25).
An Objective Test of the Bible and Book of Mormon
The Claim: In the Book of Mormon, the prophet Nephi has a vision the Bible was corrupted after the 12 apostles preached it and after the formation of the “great and abominable church” (1 Nephi 13:26-29). Most Mormons believe this to be the Catholic Church which was formed early in the 4th century. Nephi claims this church was founded by the Devil to lead souls to hell (1 Nephi 14:3). So let’s objectively examine both the Bible and the Book of Mormon to be fair and test if any have errors.
Bible:
The earliest Dead Sea Scrolls have been historically dated by three different dating techniques to as early as 350 BC. Included in this discovery was the Great Isaiah Scroll, which is the oldest known complete copy of the Book of Isaiah and is dated to approximately 200 BC.
Study the dead sea scrolls which are over 2,000 years old and see if they have Joseph Smith's uncorrupted version. They should if Joseph Smith was correct and the bible had been corrupted over time but, no they do not. They are the same today as they were over 2,100 years ago with only minor spelling or punctuation differences. Joseph Smith was wrong. The bible had not been corrupted. “You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.” (Isaiah 43:10) If Mormonism is true, then God could not make the claim that there were no gods before him, for he was just a man at one point; nor could he claim that no gods would come after him, for that is the goal of every member of the LDS church.
The new testament has not been corrupted either. Take for example John 1:1 a very important verse than Smith changed to make Jesus a created being. A papyri known as the Bodmer Papyri which is almost 1900 years old of the book of John. There is no way for the Biblical account of Jesus to arrive at the account of the Book of Mormon.

I still think that technically a Human being can be "angelic", at least sort of, but not that they transform into one after death.
It wasn't until I was in a college Bible study that I realized we didn't become angels when we died. I guess I just had this Hollywood image in my mind of what heaven was like and who angels were. I remember being surprised, but it totally made sense that angels were completely different beings when looking at scripture!

You're confusing topics: the Nephilim ( Giants) aren't men becoming angels after you die !
They R giants on earth that is where the Greek and Roman God's came from.

Matthew 18:10 is clearly referring to the angels of small children being the very same individuals as the small children not separate beings.
it is often interesting to me how humans interpret ancient writing in modern terms. how can we know what was seen in the past by a literal description. as an example revelation is especially clouded in a determination to describe what was seen and also not be killed for revealing the prophecy. also consider? "For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. (Matthew 22:30)
And Jesus said to them, “The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage, but those who are considered worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, for they cannot die anymore, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection. Interesting video on angels. However I think that some of the scriptures are more "symbolic" in nature vs literal. Like in Revelations (beast that had one body, 7 heads, 10 horns) Or the dream of Daniel who saw a person with bronze feet, iron legs, silver arms, and a gold head. Angels in the Old Testament actually look and act just like regular dudes, which is why they get so often confused with regular dudes. It’s only in the New Testament that these regular dudes suddenly become shiny dudes and are therefore no longer confused with regular dudes.
The „spinning Wheels“ in Ezekiel are only talked about in one chapter of Ezekiel and are never anywhere in the Bible refered to as „Angels“, but are only refered to as „Ophanim“, which ist he hebrew word for „wheels“, meaning, the idea that these could be Angels is actually a post biblical categorization, most likely invented by common dudes.
And when we then remember how Moses also had a radiant, shiny face because he had spoken with the Lord (Exodus 34:29), even so that Aaron and all the Israelites were afraid to come near him (Exodus 34:29), considering that even Christ submitted himself to serve us, him being the greatest, I would not see that big of a gap between regular dudes and shiny dudes a soften times indicated.. after all Angels also seem to like our food (Genesis 19:3)…
So there are good chances we may at times hang out without noticing it.
As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I consider myself a Son of God in spirit, and part of his family.

There is this misperception among traditional Christians that God is only our creator when in fact he is also our Father. In mortality, we can attain unto all that our Parents are, becoming Parents ourselves because it is in our makeup to be. Likewise, being the creation of God the Father, and spiritually reborn in him, then within us are the seeds of Godhood and the potential for an inheritance in his kingdom as Gods ourselves.
No Christian denies he's our father. Unlike you pagans we reject he had sex with a spirit wife
I'm not LDS but although they believe the Angel Moroni was once a man and became an angelic messenger, they do not believe humans become angels.
They do actually believe that humans become angels. I've only watched a few seconds of this video and Robert Millet's quote has already been shown to teach that very thing. LDS tech that Michael is Adam and Gabriel is Noah.
Perhaps better wording - angels and humans are the same essential species.
(I do think that some are projected to become "ministering spirits" in the Celestial Kingdom, but that doesn't include everyone.)
Angel means messenger and anyone can be a messenger, even Paul himself called himself an Angel!!!!!
The problem with these "Christian apologists" is that even if they know a lot of Mormonism, they don't know much about Biblical scholarship. Google Barth Ehrman's "Humans Who Become Angels." There are scores of Jewish texts that say that.
At the end of the day, Jewish texts aren't authoritative....the Bible is.

Angels are either unbodied spirit waiting to be born as a human in future date such as holy ghost .or spirit of dead people a waiting Resurrection or resurrected being who were once human and lived here on earth. Angle Gabriel lived on earth as noah. Act angle michael was born here on earth as adam. Jehovah was born here on earth as jesus christ. Lucifer when he disobey God he become satan the devil.

This is not essential doctrine in our church and it most likely isn't in any other Christian church. Just a quick look at what videos GLM has done makes me wonder about how serious they are.
In no particular order:
The debunking of our articles of faith, particularly the last three which demonstrates that they don't understand the context of which they were given and should all be values we share.
Taking issue with our church's stance on homosexuality and abortion to frame us as "progressives" which is really disingenuous
To not pray if the Book of Mormon is true which does no harm if it isn't true like GLM believes
Our lack of "preaching" at our churches which has nothing to do with anything

Evidence for Book of Mormon in ancient America- none
Evidence showing Book of Mormon is a 19th century religious fiction below:
No wheat, no goats, no steel found in the Americas, no metal smelting furnaces, no metal armor, no temple as grand as Solomon's as described in 2 Nephi 5:16, no steel swords, no skeletons of these warriors, no graves, no cities (it would be impossible for a city the size of Zarahemla to leave no trace), no cattle, no chariot parts, no Nephite coins (listed in book of Alma as being used for a thousand years), no Jewish relics from supposed Jews, no metal plates like Nephites supposedly had, no artifacts whatsoever, no Nephite "reformed Egyptian" writings, no old world large seed barley (BoM claims that the Lehites brought their old world seeds with them) and no evidence the book of Mormon "prophets" ever existed. There is zero archaeological, anthropological, topological, linguistic, or DNA evidence to support the Book of Mormon. It would be impossible for highly advanced civilizations (Jaredites, Nephites) with millions of people to have vanished off the face of the earth.
The whole face of the land had become covered with buildings” (Mormon 1:7) “Two million Jaredites slain” (Ether 15:2) 38 cities are catalogued in the Book of Mormon, along with iron, steel, brass, metal swords, breast-plates, shields, armor, or chariots. CAN WE TRUST OUR HEARTS as to book of Mormon since there is no evidence?

The entire belief system and premise of Mormonism is based on a false claim the Bible was corrupted and "plain and precious parts" were removed by early Christian translators sometime after the apostles had all died. This is a very dangerous claim to make against the word of God, especially since God promised us his word would never pass away and would be with us forever (Isaiah 40:8; Psalms 100:5; Matthew 16:18, 24:35; 1 Peter 1:23-25).
An Objective Test of the Bible and Book of Mormon
The Claim: In the Book of Mormon, the prophet Nephi has a vision the Bible was corrupted after the 12 apostles preached it and after the formation of the “great and abominable church” (1 Nephi 13:26-29). Most Mormons believe this to be the Catholic Church which was formed early in the 4th century. Nephi claims this church was founded by the Devil to lead souls to hell (1 Nephi 14:3). So let’s objectively examine both the Bible and the Book of Mormon to be fair and test if any have errors.
Bible:
The earliest Dead Sea Scrolls have been historically dated by three different dating techniques to as early as 350 BC. Included in this discovery was the Great Isaiah Scroll, which is the oldest known complete copy of the Book of Isaiah and is dated to approximately 200 BC.
Study the dead sea scrolls which are over 2,000 years old and see if they have Joseph Smith's uncorrupted version. They should if Joseph Smith was correct and the bible had been corrupted over time but, no they do not. They are the same today as they were over 2,100 years ago with only minor spelling or punctuation differences. Joseph Smith was wrong. The bible had not been corrupted. “You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.” (Isaiah 43:10) If Mormonism is true, then God could not make the claim that there were no gods before him, for he was just a man at one point; nor could he claim that no gods would come after him, for that is the goal of every member of the LDS church.
The new testament has not been corrupted either. Take for example John 1:1 a very important verse than Smith changed to make Jesus a created being. A papyri known as the Bodmer Papyri which is almost 1900 years old of the book of John. (this papyri was written not long after the apostle John would have died and it shows joseph smith changed the book of John, not that it got corrupted later as he alleged)

I post this in love. The manuscript and archeological evidence for the bible is the greatest of anything in antiquity. I pray that you know the real Jesus, real peace, love and true salvation.

One is a Jesus who is not eternal and was the spirit brother of lucifer in pre-existence & a God the Farther who was once a man - an exulted man. The other is the eternal Word, the Alpha and Omega- Jesus, by whom created all things, seen and unseen. And a God the Father who says the He alone is God, nor any god before, not any god after. There is no way for the Biblical account of Jesus to arrive at the account of the Book of Mormon.
Mormons have been taught that the bible was corrupted. I hope to open eyes that God is much greater than the humanoid that you have been told about. He is the creator of all creation not just this solar system. Jesus said all scripture shall not fade away but many wolves and false prophets will come and try to add to the word. It pains my heart to see mormons fall for the lie that Satan first told Adam and Eve that we can be like the most high. Genesis 3 Joseph Smith sold the same lie.
Apologia Studios, Mike Winger, Doreen Virtue, and Melissa Daugherty have all publicly spoken out against Mormonism and continue to do so, and they all have far more subscribers than Hello Saints. Subscriber count doesn’t validate something.
The prophet Jeremiah preached truth and saw little to no favorable responses from the people. We shouldn’t measure faithful preaching by the response of the crowd.
