Major Bálint I’m not Daniel, but to answer your question - try a compressor pedal! Really great for that snappy Tele into a clean amp sound, and improves note sustain immensely without adding any distortion. Dyna Comp, Keeley Compressor Plus, Wampler Ego, all great affordable choices.
I think the kid's a friggin' guitar genius and he explains concepts very well. Daniel: I thought the video was great. Do you have a link to your skype lessons?
@@McDoinky When we perfect the technology to literally slap somebody in the face with words, maybe then you'll understand sarcasm. The thousand gigs (and bars) thing was clearly tongue-in-cheek.
right, i didn't get the obvious joke. what's the point of it? It's not funny, and if anything, it only cements my point of reverb producing an annoyingly moot video. none of his tips have anything to do with playing live on a stage, just a bunch of basic guitarist bullshit. I think reverb are better than this
This dude is just amazing. One of the most underrated young-ish guitarists in my opinion. Great lesson and inspiring especially for new and young players like myself. Thank you!
DAG! hafta say mr. donato's teaching method seriously SPEAKS 2 me here! & tho i'm strictly a METAL axeman,i believe i'll take something away from dude's lessons regardless. good show. get witcha later. "BE WATER,MY FRIEND."-BRUCE LEE
People hate on this kid cause he plays with twice as much ability on a bad day as they do their best day. Who the hell wants unpretentious guitar heroes anyway? You think Clapton is humble? Gtf out.
@@Georgio594 You’re right. I wouldn’t have noticed the fretboard but I noticed the brand in another of Daniel’s videos. It’s that chip in the body that made me think it was Guthrie‘s.
It's the same in sports, chess or other "performance under pressure" situations . You want to raise your lowest level and spend a lot of time with the basics.
Josef K, well, “sober” as in not drunk. We used to smoke a lot of weed & even played on acid, but alcohol was a no no. We learned that the hard way. We made a rule as a band to not drink any alcohol during our sets.
Mark El some of my favorite shows I was very high on cocaine. The energy is undeniable. I’ve gotten loaded drunk and played some wild sets too but there is an obvious compromise that gets made when one gets too drunk. If anyone needs supporting evidence, watch Jimmy Page at Live Aide.
Josef K, ugh! Don’t even mention cocaine. That sh... f...ed up my life & nearly killed me. I checked into rehab January 1990 &, luckily, haven’t touched it since (still smoked weed & did acid, but left the hard stiff behind).
Great video Mr DD !! Here practicing your tips :) And thank you so much for advising to avoid playing Sweet Home Alabama ! ...makes any band look like cheap amateurs
I don't know if you know this about Daniel Donato, but he's played over 1000 gigs. And bars.
She's good!
For tips
He has. Get to Nashville more
Wait really!!!??!?
in* bars
That telecaster’s tone is amazing
How do you get such sustain with a clean amp? 🤔😮

We are watching a modern guitar legend.
Exercice with bendings at 6:00 is very useful! Thanks!

Commenters are so salty because this younger guy plays better than them. XD
She is good, no doubt.
nobody's saying he sucks
but this video is totally pointless and this guy aint a good speaker
whats the point of bragging about 1000 shows?

But he's played 1000 gigs
Re: practice vs gigging: you don’t rise to the occasion; you fall to your level of practice.
Don't listen to the jealous douchbag comments. You playing is amazing. This is a great series on playing
This dude is just amazing. One of the most underrated young-ish guitarists in my opinion. Great lesson and inspiring especially for new and young players like myself. Thank you!
He will never be a household name, and knowing that makes me cry, people like him and people like Chris buck deserve to be famous as uck
Thanks Daniel.
After 1000 shows, at bars, he still leaves a drink on the amp.
“Right on the money - I’m not saying you’re gonna make any money doing this!” That is a Big Truth.

love the final comment! "Not saying you're going to make any money"
I used to think this guy blows but after many a video now he’s ma man The Donato! I surrender and submit to the Country Cosmos.
People hate on this kid cause he plays with twice as much ability on a bad day as they do their best day. Who the hell wants unpretentious guitar heroes anyway? You think Clapton is humble? Gtf out.
No I think it's because In all his videos he comes off as kind of douchey... Lol can't explain it, but as a guitarist, I've met many of his kind
A thousand shows, Daniel Donato, for ever, for ever and ever, Daniel Donato & his cosmic country sauce, a thousand shows, infinite adventures
wow - this guy is great player, great teacher.
He's my new guitar hero
This guy gives intensity a good name.
I wonder how many shows did he play?
I think 999
Very good young guitar teacher...👌👍
Dude this guy is 20!
Very Bruce Lee. Love it. Daniel, keep sharing your tips, you are a monster player.
Bruce would have played a lefty being a converted southpaw!
Thanks!
5:01 dude, they're just playing some mad jazz licks
Wow, amazing tips.. just what I needed... Thank you, Tom Holland 🤘
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 great advice!
Daniel Donato has 1 beer and plays 1000 gigs brought to you by Reverb
Donato is da man
Definitely no money, great post 😎🎸✅
How many shows did he play?
Over 1000. Probably more like over 5000.
I think about a thousand, not sure about this information tho...
Who even wants to see a bad Tom Holland copy play guitar?
Over 9000
We will never know...
Fabulous tone on that neck pickup. Is it stock?
Daniel Tomato
is this inside a u haul? love the DD videos. thank you!!! full watch and like
At the end, what note is he bending or which string and fret? And is he matching it with the g scale on the b string?
Basically have a couple sit downs with Mrs Lucy and let go of a lot of our ego. And play with the chord changes 😉
Reverb, please invite Guthrie Trapp to teach some lessons on this channel.
I think he is there. I'm pretty sure that's Guthrie's guitar.
@@StephenLewisful Not Guthrie’s guitar. Guthrie’s is an unbranded Floyd with a maple fretboard.

What’s the riff at the beginning of the video?
That looks like Guthrie Trapp's guitar. I'm almost certain it is. Great tips Thanks Daniel
Yoo! I didn’t know Tom Holland played guitar
That's what I'm about to comment too..😅
I thought the same thang bruh
W😂
If Tom Holland was grew his hair out and was an American blues guitarrist.
Scrolling down the comment section just to find this kind of comment... Didn't disappointed at all
Everyone in the comments hatin play in there bedroom and no one would want to hear them anyway LOL
Its all about calming the fuck down
Here is a good piece of advice: play sober.

That would be epic
this is one of #cosmiccountry best videos ever
Him playing intentionally bad (Guitar Center) is hilarious
does anyone want to talk about this poor man's broken pinky @3:02 ????
Very few players, as in next to none bar like that with their pinky.
"it's very Bruce Lee" haha I'm stealing that saying.
Make a video on how to change picks like a jazz master humbucker to lipstick pickups
When he said let’s play the major scale I think he played mixolydian
A southern man don’t need him around anyhow
Tom Holland is pretty good at guitar
Sounds kinda cosmic cowboish
Be my guitar teacher
Does he also have to be funny??? Damn you!
How many gigs? ;) Just kidding! :)
Takes Daniel 30 words to say 5 lol
She likes to talk for sure.
Why not just destroy the ego? Seems easier and more direct.
Seesaw Massacre Then no one would play guitar! 😂
this fellas pinkie.....
What's a thousand gigs if your mom drove you to them 😂
Hell of a lot more than I played by 23, and I'd bet that's true for you, too.
All incorrect.. you break bad habits when you keep buying more gear.
-Guy Who Hasn't Played 1000+ Shows
Guy needs to get some sleep
😂 WTF did I just watch?!
Dude takes himself pretty seriously.
