Great interview, Steve Via is such a major influence to most guitar players over the years (for me massively) I love watching these interviews thank you

Great interview, made me subscribe 👍 Steve is such a class act, he has done it all and will continue to set the standard. Unbelievable musician, composer, engineer, showman and quite frankly one helluva humble philosophical person.

Steve is not only a guitar prodigy and an original but a very encouraging guy ,he seems very sincere and kind. This was a great interview, if you meet him again Kylie try get a small lesson from him I think he'd be very patient.

That Steve Vai what a nice little boy. Here's a tune I wrote on my guitar 'n' it's going to be real loud.

Went to see Steve playing when he came to Glasgow.....one of the first shows of the tour. Absolutely amazing!! His music transports you to another level. I didn't get to hear him play the Hydra, but it was one of the most sonically amazing experiences I've ever been to. The mirrored guitar was a stroke of genius.....as you say, it seemed that he was channeling a higher power and projecting it on to the crowd.

@@vicksinn i know! I kinda didn't want to talk to him about the obvious things as there are sooooooo many interviews out there of him talking about Satriani, crossroads etc ... part 2 is more guitar talk

What are the 2 different "braces" on his hands? His RH looks like a carpal tunnel brace and the LH is a different apparatus. Looks like his middle or ring finger is isolated. Any info i appreciated Great Interview. Thanks!!!

In terms of his music as an art it doesn't really do anything but I respect his Philosophy and approach to the guitar a lot and it's clear that he's a outstanding player who did a brilliant job with public image

@@KylieOlsson although I can hear why people are really into his music as its very unique to him and a clear personal expression of who he is and comes across as incredibly passionate about guitar in general as obviously proven by your interview with him. You're a wonderful interviewer as its clear that you are genuinely interested and don't ask cliché type questions
