This truly was a very informative video, and definitely answered my questions.
....it was around step #27 that I realized it was a bit more involved than what we were willing to convey as a weekly effort to the volunteers! But that's a ProPresenter related capability/complexity issue and NOT a reflection of this detailed video.

Great video! I appreciate the focused and in depth over view. Helped me get network link setup and better understand the workflow. Thank you!

Thanks for the info about index and order, that was killing me. I knew it must have been something simple. I appreciate it!

The approach here is well explained and better than the ProP knowledge base which doesn't cover the files aspect which I found to be very confusing. It seems to be that the repository method of a master copy of files would work better than network shares, copy/paste, and/or Planning Centre.

We just upgraded to Pro 7.8.4 from Pro6. We were using the Master Control Module in Pro6. The connection is working well. Two little bugs I've noticed so far: 1. We use a 0.5 second dissolve on both computers. The dissolve works on the computer that is "controlling," but the dissolve doesn't work on the computer that is linked. 2. The display on the linked computer doesn't scroll along with the controlling computer, which it used to in Pro6. I just wanted to see if you had noticed anything similar. Thanks!

The second one you mentioned isn't a bug- this is just the way Network Link is designed. It's not meant to be two (or more) completely synced computers, but more-so having the ability to fire slides/props/videos/etc. from any of the computer's on the link. This allows for each computer to be completely customized based on differences in output displays or other needs. With the master control module, one computer was a master and one was a slave. Network Link says whatever is in this position on ANY of the computers in this link will get fired, and it can be fired from any of the computers on the link. It allows for greater flexibility and customization.

Awesome video! I have a question, I have 2 macs running pro presenter at my church connected on the network, both see each other on the network but when my church service starts and my proprenster Mac in the sanctuary is running slides for the in-house audience the pro presenter Mac for the online audience cant see what is being displayed? Any ideas?

Hey James! We'd love to help, but it would be much easier if we could set up a Zoom/Skype/FaceTime with you, if you wouldn't mind. We can't always respond to emails quickly, and we would be able to hash out the issues quickly over video! Email us at tech@resurrection.cc, and we can set something up!

Thanks for the info! What do you use to edit slides on one computer and then input the changes into the main computer that runs Propresenter for Sunday services? Ie: I want to plan and edit slides on my home mac and then input them into the mac at church running Propresenter. Any help on this? Thanks!

We use planning center for this as I showed in the video! I actually edit the pastor’s sermon from home and upload to Planning Center, then grab it once I get to the church. If you don’t use that, I’d suggest just making your presentation like normal then find that .pro file within your ProPresenter documents and email it to yourself. Then just drag it into ProPresenter once you download it from your email!

If you’re wanting to edit a presentation that already exists, just name it the same as the one on the other computer. When you drag it in, it’ll ask if you want to “write over” the file that’s already there and you’ll of course select that
