Hello, I want to use this printer for a hybrid tshirt decoration, my idea is to print a background image on a DTG, and complement the decoration with a pieces of printed vinyl, to have 2 different textures and qualities on the tshirt, do you think it could work? My only concern is the vinyl could not properly stick to the textile, because of the pretipmet and tint of the DTG.
“hey guys i need some advice, i'm thinking about buying the roland bn-20 because i print and cut but before cutting i laminate the vinyl, so in order for this to be possible on the roland bn-20 you need to print the crop marks, but i've been reading some coments that this model has problems to read the crop marks and by the time you put the vinyl back to cut, the roland has a hard time to recognize the crop lines and sometimes never does. So i would like to know if this is true, how often this happens anyways or if someone here has been through the same experience, thanks in advance!”
Thanks for watching! This vinyl actually doesn't feel too great as is thicker and I use it for jackets, bags etc... so on t-shirt it has a quite a bit of hand. but other vinyls i own are much softer and more stretchy. Just couldn't be bother changing the roll :)
Hi i have also a BN20 and have been told i have to use corel draw for the cutline setings please can u tell me can i use another program and setup the cutline settings.
hi, thanks for watching. No. you dont need to use Corel. It is nice piece of software and is good to use it if you have, but if you own Illustrator, thank you can use it too. I presume you will be able to use any vector software s long as you are able to create spot colour with "ContourCut" name for cut line. I use illustrator and found it easy to use.
Hi, thanks for posting this vid. The plastic sheet you use to cover the sticker, what is it called? Thanks
If I am printing onto a dark fabric, do I need white ink in the bn20?
