I agree 100% with Jacob. I would listen on my morning walks. Much better than the CanCon already out there. My only gripe is that both men are a bit stiff and political. Throw in a Jordan Wilson and bang … you have a winner.
I really enjoyed that Gentlemen. IMHO, David could help any team in the Premier League but as we all agree, he needs to get minutes. He could be impactful at Arsenal, but would mostly sit on the bench for Liverpool, City and even Chelsea. Forrest, Brighton, Fulham, Brentford and Bournemouth could use him. United could definitely use him, but they're in complete disarray and he could get swallowed up in their meltdown. I think he would be a clear second or third choice at Villa, Newcastle or Spurs. Agree or disagree, these clubs are committed to their current forward groups. With all due respect, I don't think either of you watch Davies enough at Bayern Munich. He needs a move. His development there has completely stagnated. He isn't used as anything but a safety pass in a slow build up. None of the wide players in front of him or his central midfielders ever pick him out on an overlap or run to the back post. He is discouraged from running with the ball. If his defense is suffering, it's because he is suffering from pure boredom playing on that team. Yes, fullback is a defensive position, but none of the top rated fullbacks in football are rated that way for their defensive prowess. Davies needs a new team where he can find a better balance between defending and being used on the attack.
@xander9170 not really. At this point it's his teammates. Musiala, Gnabry never pass it forward to him only back. Koman will do the rare one-two with him. Wide players on the right side (Olise, Sane) never play to him at the back post.
Thanks Kevin, Steven. I really enjoyed this. Please do more of them! ... And here's a question for you Canadian footie fans, "Why not play Alphonso at left midfield instead of left-back? We still have a lot of trouble generating offence and he's a huge upgrade over who we have there now. At the same time, Richie Laryea is a hard-working left-back who works well that in position.
I am not sure what is going to happen with Newcastle, but with Wilson injury issues, and Isak getting lots of attention... I'd love to see David :) But I do not know if they suit him... But getting him under Eddie Howe and Jesse would be amazing.
He should go Saudi and chase the cash. It'd be reasonable that he's be on at least a million per week wage, over there, especially if he has like you say hit his ceiling where pay doesn't go up anymore and slowly gets worse.
@@nishali3343 We all like to see a free and wild Phonzie! He seems to hurt himself when he goes absolutely berserk, so he picks his moments a lot wiser now. Both sides of the ball 1V1 he's the best soccer player in the world am not kidding.
For AJ, I'd like to see him try to jump to a team in a higher league just for the chance to improve against better opposition. If I were a Celtic fan, as much as I love him being on my team, I'd want to see him succeed and continue on. If he tries it, it doesn't work out, and the reunion makes sense for both sides, bring him back to Scotland. There will be people who will say "He left, he quit on the team!" but those people aren't being realistic - you can love the job you have while also wanting to continue to grow.
Serie A is the best league in the world and it’s not even close. Look at the race for top 4 this season. I respectfully disagree with Stevie. Premier League is not the best league in the world. Yeah sure they have the most money, but it’s not the most competitive. Jonathan David would be a perfect fit in Serie A and with Juventus FIRST BEFORE making the step to EPL
@@Nicholas_Atnight Is this supposed to be an argument made for EPL? Lol cuz if it is the table as it stands is Liverpool 1, Inter 5, Villa 8, Atalanta 9, City 10, Juve 11, Arsenal 12… but EPL is “soo much better” than the rest of the world… LMAO if you’re gonna compare it to this current format, there is very little seperation… Atalanta dummied EPL teams and Napoli who finished 10th place in Serie A ripped up Liverpool in UCL last year so really don’t understand what you are saying lol.
@anthonytrimboli Liverpool didn't compete in the UCL last season. And yes, that is an argument to be made for the EPL. The English clubs are interwoven with the Italian clubs in the table, save for Bologna. I'm not here to tout one league as superior, I'm simply pointing out that the degree of separation in the Champions League is minimal. Which is the only real way you can compare the quality of a club and their respective league against another, imo. An argument could be made that Serie A is currently the best league, but to make that claim and say it's not even close isn't factual. That's what I'm in disagreement with.
Premier league and la liga is miles ahead of serie a don’t get fooled because it has been more competitive in the last 5 years it’s only because how much Juventus have fallen and the evidence has shown in the last 6 years premier league and la liga have been all over them and 3 out of the last 4 seasons no Italian team in the quarter finals
Apart from inter and maybe Napoli no Italian team would get top 4 in the premier league and la liga even Bundesliga teams like Juventus and Ac Milan will struggle
Davies is going to resign at Bayern, it’s easily the best place for him. Maybe David should join him. Prem is an absolute joke, any prem team is a down grade.

He’s been more involved further up the pitch with Kompany no?
This is honestly the perfect analysis of Davies. Bayern for some reason treats him like he is slower that pepe. He needs a better start

Jonathan David could go to the Premier League or Bundesliga. Davies already plays in one of the best teams in Europe at Munich.
Johnson has already signed a 2 year extension with Celtic.
He could get a transfer.
@JoelER78 not happening. He'll captain Celtic next year
Agreed, appears Davies hasn't improved. He's virtually the same player he was a few years ago.
He should go Saudi and chase the cash. It'd be reasonable that he's be on at least a million per week wage, over there, especially if he has like you say hit his ceiling where pay doesn't go up anymore and slowly gets worse.
i was going to say the same thing. He dribbles too much when he plays for Canada. Maybe COVID affected him, he was one of the best Bayern in 19/20.

Arsenal needs you Jonathan!
Davies to Real Madrid, David to Barca or Manchester United.
Sorry boys, Davies opted for sunny Spain and the biggest team in the world over cold, mid-table Newcastle...go figure?
Both to Vancouver FC!
If David is ~20 and Davies is 10-15, they both far out of the budget of MLS teams
Lol

hahaha, why not. they bought everyone else :)
Too many players already

I thought Alphonso already joined Real Madrid next year
I was also under the impression that he was heading to real Madrid, maybe they've backed out?
I just read a report today that hes agreed to join Madrid already so I'm not sure
