I put power commander and dual exhaust on mine it'll smoke any 450 one out there(drag racing). Stock I don't think it would but all you need is a couple stuff too make it even more of a rocket ship
I love my 2006 700R Raptor its leaps and bounds better in every way then my always broke down money pit 2001 660 raptor. Iv taking my 700R to the tracks and screwed around and it handles the track very good I found and its very affordable to maintain aswell when I were this one out I will be buying another.
@@matthewtrent2019 That's not a fair comparison. If you modify a quad or any vehicle, it's not the same thing and not comparable anymore. If you modify a raptor I'm sure it would give a banshee a run for it's money. I like both machines, but they are completely different power plants.
Not enough love for the Bombardier around here. FYI the DS650 was available in 99', making it the first big bore thumper sport quad ever. "the largest powerplant in a pure sport was a 500". No. With 650CC 4-stroke and 12" suspension travel ( which is STILL more than any big bore sport bike today ) this bike was, and if you have one, is, one hell of a quad.
I got a 2019 raptor se and have waxed 450's of all kinds with the houser racing a arms n dominator 2 rear axel I can't b touched u can really hit the throttle with it being almost 50" wide
They are about the only sport bikes for guys like me 6"3 and on the heavy side lol. Me or my brother haven't rolled ours yet though. i will take that tippie-ness for a comfortable ride. your banshee sounds bad ass though man, super sick.
i guess depends on the rider, ive taken off on plenty of yfz 450's on my raptor, dont get me wronf its a great track bike but over all bike you can never go wrong with a raptor
I here ya there man, my brother blew is 660 up so he just got another one and gave that one to me, I just had to buy another bike for 700 bucks and take out the motor and put it in the other one. Love mine though its still stupid fast by my standards and for where I ride put its nice predictable power, and you can still stand it up really easy if you want to. But a banshee if you not used to two strokers I could really see that power band bucking you off lol. Still love to have one though.
raphael baptiste Raptor 700. It's a dual counterbalanced motor with lower compression and more durable bottom end. Not to mention it has less finicky valves. It has a lower RPM range but a less frequent service schedule. This equates to more time on the trails and less in the shop.
Thats without tax... and if you cant pay all of it cash (check or whatever) there is some financing so it ads up pretty quickly my 2012 raptor 700r se came in at 11,000 after taxes
Kevin Martin not stock for stock.700 will always win on top speed the new 2015 and up Raptor 700 has received the lot updates the YFZ won't beat it on a drag race maybe off just the line of course
ive got a yamaha ttr 125 le im tryin to save enough to get a four wheeler its either this a banshee a blaster a smaller size raptor or a warrior im a yamaha rider all the way i love yamaha
Giantsasquatch_GamingHD I know what it's made for but if they made a version for trails with independent rear suspension it would be awesome I'm not saying they should get rid of the current model
Raptor 700s are usually the ATV of your choice if you´re taller/heavier than the average joe. Raptors are pretty big - just like any other 700 (KFX 700, TRX 700 etc.). So no - you´re certainly not too large.
There's a huuuuuuge difference between the w350 and the r700! I think you'd be better to upgrade to a z400 before, or at least try them because they worth the test track. Raptor 700r are awesome but if you're liking the handling of you'r warry, you'll appreciate better a kfx our a ltz 400 ;)
even in 1st i find my self popping the clutch to get it in powerband in the woods on hills. u have to get use to riding 20mph or nothing. dont sound like much but 20 is alot on winding trails with trees close in to the sides. with my a-arms im inches form trees on both sides. once u get used to constantly clutching and shifting its the fastest bike of all my friends. a can am 800 cant beat it or a raptor 660. its just like getting used to an old car its only bettrer once u can drive it better.
front end looks smashed the fuck in I like how he said with a quick couple of turns u can tighten your chain tension funny I can do the same on my trx450 :)
i know i can ive been riding for almost 10 years now on four wheelers and 4 years on dirtbikes i prefer dirtbikes ive been riding a 500 recently so ill be fine
now that its 2020 I think its time for a fresh review of the Yamaha Raptor 700
brilliant presentation, I want one....all I need is the cash....guess I'll have to wait...
did you ever get it?
I'll eventually get one to go with my YFZR. Some day, I wonder if they'll bring in the crossplane 4-cylinder from the R1 and call it the Banshee.
then ppl will crash and blame yamaha for an unsafe vehicle
Nope.
Well, 8 years have gone and past. Just chop a bike with a blown engine and swap it.
Haha the black quad riding in the dunes is a yfz450!
Just finished my Big 3 on my 2011 rappy ;) love my bike.
my friends friend has raptor 660R, i liked raptor and want one for me. can someone tell me what difference is between raptor 700R and raptor 700R SE
The Raptor in this video looks identical to mine. Bought mine with 28 hours on it and couldn't be happier.
I put power commander and dual exhaust on mine it'll smoke any 450 one out there(drag racing). Stock I don't think it would but all you need is a couple stuff too make it even more of a rocket ship
i like how they showed a yfz450 at the dunes😂😂😂
you should make a review about the new 700r
top heavy that aint changed that one bite i was thinkin the same thing thank god somebody somebody has some since
I love my 2006 700R Raptor its leaps and bounds better in every way then my always broke down money pit 2001 660 raptor. It's amazing in the woods, but let's be honest. The banshee STILL owns the dunes.
No it doesn't I have both.
+Eidrian111 I assume your banshee is close to stock
lolol

@@shanelulberry stock for stock, anybody's game. Mod for mod tho, the banshee owns
I love this show u guys really put this stuff to the test
Should I trade my 2017 can am 570 l for a 2014 raptor 700 fi
What did you do in tbe end
why dont you do a video over the yamaha banshee?

When did they stop having a LCD speedometer?
Best quad ever made...
sense when did sport atv have reverse? last i check i had to push mine backwards
I heard there is like 2 lbs. Weight differense from 1st generation Rapt.
i have a 2001 raptor 660 it rides really nice and smooth
So 85-90 through the woods is slow goddamn what are you riding a rocket ship.
your best bet is too go to the lads in wexford / watrford.. i no its far spin down from da north but it would b worth it!
all im saying is when you get this quad buy all of the skid plates because that plastic plate does nothing
@dfmodels1 the SE is only special edition just graphics and bigger bumper no big difference
but is there a way i can put a automatic transmission
do you know were i could get one in northern ireland
man i need someplace like that to ride
Can you sit two on the raptor 700 ??
im 16 5'7" and about 115lbs...would i be able to control this? ive ridin all my life and currently have a grizzly 450 but want a sport quad now.
I got a 2019 raptor se and have waxed 450's of all kinds with the houser racing a arms n dominator 2 rear axel I can't b touched u can really hit the throttle with it being almost 50" wide
can someone please tell me how much this coast in mississippi im trying to get one at a low price
Excellent review. Sold my 400ex and bought a street bike (Honda 919). Big mistake. Time to go visit my Yamaha dealer... :)
They are about the only sport bikes for guys like me 6"3 and on the heavy side lol. Me or my brother haven't rolled ours yet though. i will take that tippie-ness for a comfortable ride. your banshee sounds bad ass though man, super sick.
is the raptor good in the winter? i live in norway. and i would like an atv that works well in the winter :D
i guess depends on the rider, ive taken off on plenty of yfz 450's on my raptor, dont get me wronf its a great track bike but over all bike you can never go wrong with a raptor
How can you list "no IRS" as a con?? I would hate it if it had IRS. Look at the TRX700RR. It's heavy as hell and can't power slide.
What does IRS mean?
@@jacksonwesthoff4785 Independent Rear Suspension
Watch them review a trx700xx. Its way better then a raptor. I never liked the raptors. And they always had starter issues
i wonder if quads can be street legal in canada..
but can it go through mud no
Yeah buddy got to get one of them
i just want to reach through the screen and replace those stock handlebars!! love my 700r
not really gearing, weight, rpm, and tires are some of the biggest factors but the most important one is the rider :)
df' is a automatic manual?
i got a grizzly 400 with super swamper viampire tires 4 wheel drive
And where did you get 250 polaris from i said i rode a 2011 raptor 700r. A 250 wouldnt haul my big ass.
i think they just put a yfz front fender on but u could be right
if its road legal do you need license
how fast can it go ??
It's about story of sport atv in yamaha motor you know I've bought one but not efi the 2015 yamaha raptor 700R special edition version
I here ya there man, my brother blew is 660 up so he just got another one and gave that one to me, I just had to buy another bike for 700 bucks and take out the motor and put it in the other one. are they automatic
how so?
Raptor 700 vs yfz 450 relibilitiy ?

definitly raptor 700, exactly what the other guy said. the yfz is a race motor, the raptor is more user friendly.
you want to get one?
Thats without tax... and if you cant pay all of it cash (check or whatever) there is some financing so it ads up pretty quickly my 2012 raptor 700r se came in at 11,000 after taxes
Is it a sohc or dohc?
I know the yzf450r is faster but it's well known that they blow up all the time. Is this alot more reliable because its power is scalled back???
Kevin Martin not stock for stock.700 will always win on top speed the new 2015 and up Raptor 700 has received the lot updates the YFZ won't beat it on a drag race maybe off just the line of course
yeah the raptor engine is less pushed and very reliable
I'm 6'2" 215 lbs, would I be too large for this quad?
smooglepoot No
hello how much cost this raptor
Mirjan Lila pretty easy to figure it out ! New ones r bout 11 grand
Mirjan Lila about 9 grand (2017 model)
Best selling sport atv?
PLEASE TELL ME SHOULD I BUY THIS BIKE OR A HONDA TRX450 EVERYONE PLEASE REPLY TO ME PLEASE.
Can it crawl thru rough terrain?
+blackmeinu It can but it will obviously have limitations over say a sport utility with 4WD or more aggressive tires.

wtf i swear thats a yfz 450??? 4:27
Is this Quad Automatic?
Manual
No
raptor beats everything
no clutch but u still use footshift
anyone else notice the yfz450's used in the dunes insted of the 700? haha lol
Yamaha should make an independent rear suspension version that would be awesome
Ablink 600 no it would be heavy as all hell and useless for what this quad is meant for.
Giantsasquatch_GamingHD I know what it's made for but if they made a version for trails with independent rear suspension it would be awesome I'm not saying they should get rid of the current model
everybody that made one went out of business
Thanks.
Polaris predator vs raptor?
no im pretty sure its a 5 or 6 speed withy clutch
im 12 and i have a raptor 660 2006 awsome

prolly not a good idea its very easy to learn how to shift its make its more fun and u look cool its the oppisit then a manual car
i think i want one now...
Do you know how hard it is to find a raptor 700 with a automatic transmission
SASQUATCH GAMING why would you buy an automatic? Also look at our user names.
CONFEDERATE SASQUATCH they don't make an automatic Raptor 700
so it looks like i'm going to have to learn how to ride a manual, are they easy to learn
Very easy, you'll be riding within am hour of starting.
Features pistons🤔
i really did i got it for my 7th or 8th birthday cant remember but i was very young people acually thought my parents were crazzy cause of it
about 80 stock
i see a lot more 400EXs/LTZ400s than raptor 700s well at least where i live i would figure one of those would be the best selling

i got one when i turned 7 so if your a good ride then ya
