Riding on the east side of the country seems so much nicer than Washington where i live. Everything has either been closed or its not really meant for sport quads. I cant wait to move to Tennessee next year!
Looks like an absolute blast! Those types of trails look identical to the ones I have by my house in CT! Which do you prefer for the trails like that the raptor 700 or yfz450? I had the yfz450r and sold it for a raptor 700r. I find having reverse, more low end instant torque, the sitting position on the raptor are better for trails, some dirt jumps ect. I did skid plates, full akrapovic exhaust, changed the bars, did a air filter and power commander and also more aggressive tires. With those basic mods I really like the raptor better since I'm not racing on a mx style track. What is your take on the two machines, know its kind of nit picking em but like to hear what other riders think, how they set their machines up and so on.
For my riding style I prefer the yfz. The power curve is so different compared to the raptor. I can be really throttle happy and the 450 loves that haha

@BrewerOffroad I got the purple panda because of one of your vids I like it just battery life went down the drain like only getting 30 mins out of 1 battery noaw I've turned the bit rate down switch from 2.7k at 60fps to 4k 24fps and man the file sizes went way down and battery life went way up hope yall don't mind a lil tech talk lol just yalls vids look so good 👍 😉 thanks again for chatting with me

I’ve got about 13 at my house that I ride on, and we also go on trips to West Virginia about every year for a week or so! I’m running a GoPro hero 9 currently, but would like to get it mounted in a different spot, how do you do your helmet setup with your camera?
It's 170 acres but we didn't cover all of it. That's awesome man! I use a dango designs chin mount and I clip it to my helmet and then mount the camera upside down hanging off of my chin. Pete hager has a great tutorial video of our set up!
Hey, i’m deciding on a Raptor 700r or the 450r and it’s a very hard choice. I see you ride the 450r a lot more since you got it. Do you prefer riding the 450r more or the raptor? Also I’m doing a lot of trail riding and some track riding but not as much. Does the 450r handle well in the trails? I’ve been reading a lot about the 450r has to rev high for torque. Which one do you prefer for your self. Both are great machines I just can’t decide on one, and keep looking at a lot of videos and constantly doing research and it’s getting overwhelming.
I will simplify it for you haha everyone over complicates this debate with their biased opinions. The 450 is a fast revving Quad. It doesn't like to go slow. It handles amazing in every situation, but it wants to be ridden like a rocket 24/7. You can leisure ride it but you'll find yourself working the clutch a lot more to do that. I personally don't mind alittle more work for the times I go slow because when I went to go fast it is so capable it out weighs the bad. The raptor is a torque monster. If you want to dominate drag races and be able to lug in a high gear in the woods on a leisure ride. The raptor is the ticket. However, it does not handle high speed as well as a 450. It is a comfy ride but it doesn't manage high speed cornering or even low speed tight cornering. VERY tippy. When I ride the raptor I have to ride completely different than when I ride the 450. I still have alot of fun but it's very different. If you are the type that you are smashing the throttle and sliding around all the time get the 450. If you are the type you want to drag race your buddies or ride woods and never shift out of 3rd get the raptor. The 450 is a race Quad the Raptor is a recreational beast.

The problem with the 450 in my opinion is the maintenance You need to do an oil change every 10h, change piston every 150h really not fun when you ride every day, and the raptor is the opposite Oil change every 3 month is pretty good
Never, I have in being rebuilt for three first time in 4 years right now and it's I only because I'm building a bigger motor. They are pretty reliable if you have a healthy tune on them. It's all these preset box tunes that kill the life of them and then everyone blames the 450. Dyno tuning a machine with the vortex tuner is 100% worth it!

FL and it’s pretty common to come across flooded trails so reverse on the Raptor would be a benefit but I don’t know if that alone would outweigh the positives of the 450. Ground clearance is also a question. I’m buying one of the two next month so I’m trying to do all the homework I can.
@Bhbr_Kasuta ground clearance is higher on the raptor however, the swingarm is the same height off of the ground as the raptor or 450 it doesn't change. The 450 is more capable in my opinion but it's really a riding style preference. The raptor has the capability to cruise better than the 450 for sure.

How much more comfortable is the raptor compared to the yfz450? I have a yfz450 and looking for something inbetween a 4x4 and sports bike for trail riding. The yfz450 is too rough on me, dont get me wrong I love it, but i want to be able to ride around sitting down in 2nd or 3rd once in a while and just chill. My yfz450 cant do that 😔

Well over 100 maybe close to 150. Didn't need to tear it down tho just being preventative and had an idea for a build

I like the 10 for the endurance batteries for sure! The purple panda connected to the media mod cleaned up my set up a ton!
