I think she thought Claire was the root of all her sufferings because she took Jamie away and if she hadn't, she probably thought Jamie would be hers and would have lived a much more peaceful life.
The way she was the whole reason they settled in America those last seasons, risking their life in the process while getting there. If it wasn’t for her, they would be leading peaceful lives in Scotland ( except if the English caught Jamie again)

Why change an important scene from the books ?! In the books you almost feel sorry for loaghaire, she knew that Jamie never loved her and not understanding the bond between Jamie and Claire she just assumed it was witchcraft, also Bree is feisty girl not a dumb dumb!

As long as Jamie didn't do anything stupid, no reason for the English to catch him again. He served his sentence.
